Cora Pannett
TELL CITY — Cora Lampkin Pannett, 84, died July 18, 2000, at Birchwood Nursing Center in Traverse City, Mich.
Surviving are a son, Doug of Tell City; five grandchildren, Jeanna Kennedy, Mary Curran, Sharon Kimball and Doug and Tommy Pannett; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Tom.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood cemetery.
There will be no visitation at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.

Clarence Simpson
Clarence W. Simpson, 90, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Holiday Health Care of heart failure.
He retired in 1974 after 37 years with the Whirlpool Corp. as a draftsman.
He was a World War II veteran.
He was a member and has served as treasurer and Sunday school teacher at North Park Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Alberta LaVerne; two sons, Donald W. and W. Dale, both of Evansville; two sisters, Mildred Bell of Newburgh and Naydene Mehldachl of Granville, Ohio; two brothers, Virgil of Newburgh and Arthur of Glendale, Calif.; and a granddaughter, Sara Simpson Smock.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at North Park Wesleyan Church, the Revs. Melvin Linville and Everett Freels officiating, with burial in Locust Hill cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel and from 9 a.m. to service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Gideons International.
Jacob Simpson
Jacob R. Simpson, 74, of Evansville, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at his home of cancer. He worked as a welder at Servel, moved into management while at Arkla and then became the plant superintendent. He was in management with Preway and was a consultant with Dometic Robar Industries, retiring in 1993.
He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater.
He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114 and was president of the Arkla Retired Employees Club.
Surviving are three daughters, Pamela Jean Beadles and Marsha Rae Stufflebean, both of Evansville, and Kathy Lee Kraemer of North Vernon, Ind.; three brothers, Chester Beasley of Evansville, Leon Simpson of New Port Richey, Fla., and Gilbert Simpson of Kirkwood, Mo.; five grandchildren, Jason Andrew and Amanda Renae Beadles, Valerie Lee and Kristopher Mark Kraemer and Holly Marie Gardner; and a great-grandchild.
His wife, Doris (Ashworth), died in 1992.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Elisabeth Baer officiating, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park, with military rites.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Richard Lutz
Richard R. Lutz, 74, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000 at Deaconess Hospital, of heart failure. He worked at Evansville Auto Parts for 25 years. He was a Baptist minister from 1967 to 1988, when he retired from the First Baptist Church in Elberfeld, after retiring he preached until his death and also worked for Sears Roebuck and Co.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Anna Lee; two daughters, Anna Carrol Lore McCoy of Mooresville, Ind., and Cheryl Ava Marx of Evansville; a son, Terry Lee of Evansville; four grandchildren, Andrea McCoy Marrs, David McCoy, Matthew Marx and Amy Byers; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Vann Avenue Baptist Church, the Rev. Robert A. Nall officiating, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel and from 9 a.m. to service time at the church.

Ross Farmer
Ross Eugene Farmer, 71, of Newburgh, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at his home. The Warrick County coroner ruled death was of natural causes.
He was a self-employed truck driver.
Surviving are his wife, Jo Anna; two daughters, Sheryl Rigdon and Marilyn Westby, both of Evansville; two stepdaughters, Sandy Greenwalt of Evansville and Laura Shaffer of Boonville; a son, Ronald of Chandler, Ind.; two stepsons, William and Kevin Greenwalt, both of Evansville; six sisters, Ruby Claris Hight of Madisonville, Ky., Agnes Cates of Huntingburg, Betty Morgan of Newburgh, Barbara Jo Curry of San Dimas, Calif., and Billie Brothers in White Plains, Ky.; 27 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A son, Roger B., died in 1986.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville, Ky., the Rev. Ken Slator officiating, with burial in Concord cemetery in White Plains, Ky.

Helen Schilling
Helen Schilling, 80, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Woodlands Convalescent Center in Newburgh of renal failure.
She had worked for Dr. Rosenblatt and for the Evansville Protestant Home in housekeeping.
She was a 1938 graduate of Memorial High School.
She was a member of St. Benedict Cathedral.
Surviving are a sister, Christina Record of Evansville; a brother, Martin Schilling of Evansville; and nieces and nephews including, Greg and Pam Collins who cared for her.
Services will be at 9:15 a.m. Saturday at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, continuing at 10 a.m. at St. Benedict Cathedral, the Rev. Harold Hammerstein officiating, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a memorial service at 7 p.m.

Barbara Fox
Barbara J. Fox, 67, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital of complication of heart disease.
She was a member of East Side Church of God.
She enjoyed quilting and crafts.
Surviving are four daughters, Joan Wagner, Kendra Tuley and Debbie Jacobs, all of Evansville, and Lisa Meredith of South Bend, Ind.; two sons, Donnie R. Smith of Brook, Ind., and David Fox of Evansville; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Eddie, died in 1986.
Services and burial in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery will be private. There will be no visitation at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel.

Mary Caldwell
Mary Lou Caldwell, 34, of Evansville, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Shelbyville (Ind.) Children Center of complications of seizures.
Surviving are her mother, Margaret Caldwell of Evansville; her stepfather, Norman Skelton of Evansville; and a sister, Donna Jean Caldwell of Shelbyville, Ind.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Tom Savage officiating, with private burial in Locust Hill cemetery.

Delbert Straw
POSEYVILLE - Delbert "Dub" Straw, 82, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at New Harmonie Health Care Center.
He retired as an oil field pumper for the Farm Bureau.
Surviving are three sons, George of Stewartsville, Delbert of Poseyville and Joe of New Harmony; a sister, Veda Lowenkamp of Cynthiana; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
His wife, Rachel, died in 1989.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holder Funeral Home in Owensville, with burial in Poseyville cemetery.

Goldie Conlin
MOUNT VERNON - Goldie M. Conlin, 94, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Mount Vernon Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was a cook for Sam Noon and had worked at Exylin Plastic Co.
She was a member of the Church of God Mission.
Surviving are a son, Norman R. of Mount Vernon; two grandchildren, Brian Conlin and Sherry Dillard; and a great-grandchild.
Her husband, Ellis J., preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Norvell Funeral Home, with burial in Bellefontaine cemetery.
