Thomas Lang
Thomas “Tom” Lang, 82, of Evansville, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Care Services/Welborn Campus.
He was a self-employed contractor, did home improvements and was a handyman.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Marie Calvert of Hatfield, Ind., and Sandra Gloria Renschler of Chandler, Ind.; a stepdaughter who cared for him, Patricia Tilton of Evansville; a son, Earl “Roger” of Evansville; two sisters, Barbara Tennyson of Pekin, Ill., and Mary E. Smith of Rockport, Ind.; two brothers, Francis of Morton, Ill., and Arthur Lang of Tremont, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen, in 1970, his second wife Cora, in 1999 and a son, Jerry Wayne, in 1994.
Services will be at 10 a.. Monday at Browning Funeral Home, with burial in Maple Grove cemetery in Boonville.

Maria Crandall
Maria Crandall, 83, of Evansville, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at the McCurdy Residential Center.
She had been a seamstress and was Catholic.
Surviving are a son, John Crandall of Idaho; grandchildren including Dennis and Dorene Flora, who cared for her; and great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Leonard, died in 1994.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Browning Funeral Home.
Dorothy Halstead
Dorothy “Jane” Halstead, 77, of Newburgh formerly of Terre Haute, Ind., died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at her home of cancer.
She had been a rural mail carrier and a laboratory technician.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan Haymaker of Newburgh; a son, Jerry of Brazil, Ind.; a sister, June Woodsmall of Riley, Ind.; a brother, Don McCoskey of Terre Haute; seven grandchildren, Jim Selvia, Kent and Dana Halstead, Robert Ferguson, Lori Steuerwald, Sarah Gourley and Jayleen Briggs; and nine great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Robert F., preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at DeBaun Springhill Chapel in Terre Haute, the Rev. Larry Spear officiating, with burial in Mount Pleasant cemetery in Terre Haute.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Paul Miller
Paul V. Miller, 90, of Evansville, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
He retired as a journeyman for U.S. Sheet Metal in 1975 and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 20 and former trustee of Local 96.
He was a member of St. Benedict Cathedral.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Catherine L.; three daughters, Marilyn Myers of Denver, Lynda S. Miller of Evansville and Joanie Picou of Magnet, Ind.; two sons, Randy of Newburgh and Dan of Dallas; a sisters, Sue Spath of Tell City; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 8:30 a.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, continuing at 9 a.m. at St. Benedict Cathedral, the Rev. Harold Hammerstein officiating, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, with a memorial service at 7 p.m.

Frank Minnis
PRINCETON — Frank Minnis, 74, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Forest Del Health & Rehabilitation Center of cancer.
He retired as custodian for the North Gibson School Corp., in 1988.
He was a World War II Army veteran serving in the 87th Infantry Division.
He served on the board and as a song leader at the Princeton Holiness Tabernacle.
Surviving are his wife, Carol (Frakes); two daughters, Lesta Dougan and Karen Meadows, both of Princeton; a sister, Eloise Travis of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a brother, Rodger of Princeton; three grandchildren, Catrina Dougan and Larry W. and John Meadows; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Colvin Funeral Home, with burial in Blythe Chapel cemetery west of Fort Branch, with military rites.

Gene Miller
LYNNVILLE — Gene Miller, 75, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at his home of cancer.
He owned and operated Miller’s Grocery Store in Lynnville from 1955 to 1974 and was postmaster of the Lynnville Post Office from 1978 to 1987.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
He was a member of the Lynnville United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Lions Club, Boonville Elks, Hadi Shrine, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3418 and Scottish Rite.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Eula Catherine; a daughter, Sandra Waser of St. Louis; three sons, Robert Claborn of Newburgh, Rick Miller of Lynnville and Kevin Miller of Elberfeld; two sisters, Blanche Ferguson and Minette Roy, both of Boonville; a brother, Herschel of Wheatonville; seven grandchildren, Bobby and Joe Claborn, Tina Hazelip, Sherrie Waser, Jamie Aulbach, Derek Miller and Amanda Young.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pemberton Bradley Funeral Home in Lynnville, with burial in Lynnville cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. today, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Thomas Bilskie
VINCENNES — Thomas Joseph Bilskie, 74, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at his home of cancer.
He was a truck driver.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, American Legion Post 73, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1157 and Disabled American Veterans Post 10.
Surviving are his wife, Norma Jean (Cardinal); a daughter, Barbara Hamilton of Vincennes; two sons, Thomas of Lawrence County, Ill., and Larry of Vincennes; two sisters, Irene Brand of Vincennes and Lucille Westner of Russellville, Ill.; three brothers, Robert, Bruce and Leonard, all of Vincennes; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A son, Dale, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary cemetery.

Stacy Wehr
ST. ANTHONY — Stacy M. Wehr, 29, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Deaconess/St. Joseph Hospital in Huntingburg. Cause of death is pending autopsy results.
She worked at the Jasper Engine Exchange and as a Mary Kay consultant.
She was a 1989 graduate of Jasper High School and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, Adam; a son, Ryder Lane Wehr at home; her mother and stepfather, Barbara and Ron Rasche of Jasper; her father and stepmother, Richard and Margie Sullivan of French Lick; a sister, Beth Rasche of Jasper; a half sister, Lori Sullivan of Jasper; a half brother, Jason Sullivan of Evansville; and her grandmother, Maxine Huebner of Jasper.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial in Fairview cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today, with a rosary at 3:30 p.m., at Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper.
John Osmon
WASHINGTON — John Steven Osmon, 52, died Monday, April 3, 2000. The Daviess County coroner is investigating the death.
He was a member of the First Christian Church and a graduate of Washington High School.
Surviving are a daughter, Christina Nicole Osmon of Washington; and a son, Timothy Robert of Washington.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Gill Funeral Home, with burial in Bethel cemetery.

Lawrence Kelley
FRANCISCO — Lawrence A. Kelley, 83, died Wednesday, April, 5, 2000, the at Jasper Memorial Hospital.
He retired from Francisco Hardware & Lumber Co.
He was a member of Petersburg Church of The Nazarene.
Surviving are his wife, Violet Fair; two daughters, Connie Burchard and Shirley Woods, both of Evansville; three stepdaughters, Rosalee Mize and Clarice June Loveless, both of Petersburg, and Marilyn Thorne of Winslow; five stepsons, Marvin Fair of Petersburg, Donnie Fair of Princeton, Phil and Mike Fair, both of Washington, Ind., and Kenneth Fair of Greenwood; a brother, Clarence of Washington; three grandchildren, Jason Burchard and James B. and David Woods; and two great-grandchildren.
His wife, Christene, died in 1989.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Petersburg Church of The Nazarene, with burial in Odd Fellows cemetery.
