Lloyd Gudgel
BOONVILLE, Ind. — Lloyd Gudgel, 92, died Tuesday, at St. Mary’s Warrick.
She was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women’s Club, Captain Jacob Warrick Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Tri Kappa.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Del Clutter of Boonville; a son, John Edward Jr. of Littleton, Colo.; three grandchildren, Lisa Miller, Rod Clutter Jr. and John Edward Gudgel III; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her husband, John E. Sr., died in 1966.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel, with burial in Maple Grove cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Harriett Wendholt
HUNTINGBURG, Ind. — Harriett V. Wendholt, 85, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at her home.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and Christian Mothers.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Walter V.; two daughters, Julia Mihelick of Salem, S.C., and Kathryn Snowden of Jasper; a son, Gregory of Denver, Colo.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Carolyn Buehler, died in 1988.
Services will be at 10 a.m. EST Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Nass and Son Funeral Home, with a joint prayer and memorial service at 7 p.m.

Clay Herrell
ROCKPORT, Ind. — Clay E. Herrell, 88, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at his home.
He had been an oil promoter for Shell Oil Co.
He was a member of the Hatfield United Methodist Church, the Richland Lions Club and a member of the Advisory Committee for Luce Township Trustees.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, June Herrell of Rockport; two daughters, Anna Joyce Meece of Hatfield and Bettye June Weatherholt of Evansville; two sons, William “Bill” of Owensboro, Ky., and Dennis of Hatfield; three sisters, Mildred Halbruge of Rockport, Clata Horn of Evansville and Emilie Pickerill of Hatfield; a brother, Louie of Hatfield; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Boultinghouse Funeral home, with burial in Ebenezer cemetery in Richland.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Mayme Hedrick
Mayme (Willis) Hedrick, 79, of Evansville, died Friday, June 23, 2000, in Gibson County of heart failure.
She worked for Servel Inc. during World War II.
She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church and Keenagers.
Surviving are three daughters, Darlene V. Sartore of Patoka, Ind., and Linda M. Hedrick and Janet A. Diehl, both of Evansville; three sons, James R. of Somerville, Ind., and Phillip L. and Paul T., both of Evansville; two sisters, Nellie O. Gilkison of Delphi, Ind., and Clata M. Brumley of La Moille, Ill.; two brothers, Admir T. Willis of Patoka and Arleigh D. Willis of Logansport, Ind.; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd V., in 1999, and by an infant son, David Wayne.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Browning Funeral Home, the Rev. Don Moore officiating, with burial in Dale cemetery in Dale, Ind.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Harold Givens
Harold B. Givens, 81, of Evansville, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
He retired in 1981 from Whirlpool after 25 years.
He was a World War IIveteran.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Velma; two daughters, Renee Givens and Shirley Poag, both of Evansville; two sons, William E. of Elberfeld, Ind., and Jack D. of Evansville; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. R.R. Schwambach officiating, with entombment in Park Lawn Mausoleum.

Estelle Houchins
Estelle “Karen” (Nicholson) Houchins, 50, of Evansville, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of a heart attack.
She enjoyed going to car shows and selling car supplies with her companion.
Surviving are her companion, Bill Moore of Evansville; her mother, Mildred Nicholson of Evansville; a sister, Marla Nicholson of Evansville; and a niece and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery, the Rev. Dennis Davenport officiating.
There will be no public visitation at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Parke Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Lyle Dunn
Lyle Dunn, 91, father of Dyane Spring of Evansville, died Thursday, June 22, 2000, at his home in Birmingham, Mich.
He was a teacher, coach, principal and mechanical engineer.
He was a graduate of Central Michigan University and Michigan State University.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
Also surviving are his wife of 64 years, Frances (Kirkham); two sons, Donald of Rochester Hills, Mich., and Daryl of Madera, Calif.; a brother, Lester of Ionia, Mich.; four grandchildren, William Spring, Shannon and Derek Dunn and Denise Schweizer; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Dunn Taggart, in 1995.
Services will be at noon EDT Monday at the Chapel of the Flowers in White Chapel Memorial cemetery in Troy, Mich., with burial in White Chapel Memorial cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:15 a.m. to service time at the chapel.

Dolores Baker
Dolores R. Baker, 87, of Newburgh, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
She was a retired school teacher and had worked for the St. Louis Welfare Department.
She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Franklin Sr.; a daughter, Ann R. Smith of Chrisney, Ind.; a son, Franklin “Frank”Jr. of Newburgh; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Simpson Funeral Home Newburgh Chapel, the Rev. Wade Compton officiating, with burial in Rose Hill cemetery.

Bertha Jones
Bertha E. Jones, 92, of Newburgh, died Friday, June 23, 2000, at Regina Continuing Care Center.
She worked at Chivian Department Store in Newburgh for 10 years and at the Evansville Department Store for 10 years.
She was a member of Bethel Temple and Rebekah Lodge.
Surviving are nieces.
Her husband, Clarence, died in 1962.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Simpson Funeral Home Newburgh Chapel, the Rev. Schwambach officiating, with burial in Rose Hill cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time, with a Rebekah service at 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
Gladys Dean
Gladys A. (Young)Dean, 86, of Evansville, died Saturday, June 24, 2000, at her home.
She retired in 1984 from McCurdy Healthcare Center, where she worked as a nurse’s aide for 15 years.
She was a member of Northpark Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Susan Gail Patrick of Newburgh and Linda Phillips of Evansville; a son, Michael Lee of Evansville; three grandchildren, Lori Zielinski, Shelley Todd and Sean Patrick; four great-grandsons; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Gora Lee, died in 1995.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.
