Martha Reinitz
Martha Reinitz, formerly of Evansville, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at her home in Lakeland, Fla.
She was a former member of St. Benedict Cathedral.
Surviving are a daughter, Jeannene Finn-Busko of Sapulpa, Okla.; three grandchildren, Kerry, Floyd and Tina Finn; three great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and a niece and a nephew.
Her husband, Walter, died in 1990.
Private funeral services were held Saturday in Sapulpa.
Browning Funeral Home is handling local arrangements.
David Wefel
David Alan Wefel, 20, of Newburgh, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, in Muncie, Ind. His death is under investigation by the Delaware County coroner.
He was a junior at Ball State University.
He was a 1998 graduate of Castle High School and had attended Evansville Christian School.
He was a member of Shepherd of Paradise Church and enjoyed playing the guitar.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Patricia (Wefel) and Steven Renfrow of Owensboro, Ky.; his father and stepmother, Robert and Darlene Wefel of Newburgh; three sisters, Melissa Bitter of Evansville, Robin Cline of Boonville, Ind., and Melinda Faucett of Anderson, Ind.; a stepsister, Tonia Eissler of Newburgh; and a stepbrother, Brian Wolf of Honolulu.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Stephen Wyatt officiating, with entombment in Park Lawn Mausoleum.

John Suters
TELL CITY — John Allen Suters, 67, died Friday, May 19, 2000, at his home of complications of a stroke.
He worked for Baysinger Brothers Shell in Tell City in the early 1950s and later owned and operated Main Street Shell and Downtown Shell in Cannelton.
He served as the chief of police in Cannelton, Perry County deputy sheriff and retired as a Perry County probation officer.
He enjoyed traveling.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Lois J. (Mullis); two sons, Michael A. of Dauphin Island, Ala., and Johnny R. of Cannelton; six grandchildren, Stephanie Turpin, Travis, Damien, Amber and Lindsey Suters and Nicole Dickerson; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Huber Funeral Home Tell City Chapel, with burial in Greenwood cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Lavern Hart
NEW HARMONY — Lavern M. Hart, 93, of Evansville, formerly of New Harmony, died Friday, May 19, 2000, at Holiday Care Center in Evansville.
He had worked as a construction foreman.
Surviving is a daughter, Sherry Hart of Evansville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude F. (Young).
There will be no visitation or services at Werry Funeral Home New Harmony Chapel.
Wilma Mobley
POSEYVILLE — Wilma J. (Wheeler) Mobley, 61, died Friday, May 19, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Care Services/Welborn Campus in Evansville of an aneurysm.
She worked at Welborn Clinic as a medical transcriptionist.
She was a member of Princeton Southern Baptist Church, a Red Cross volunteer and a former secretary of the Indiana Legal Secretary’s Association.
She was a 1953 graduate of Owensville High School and attended Lockyear Business College in Evansville.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra K. Burkhardt of Princeton and Susie Guidry of Denham Springs, La.; three sons, Donald W. of Owensville, Jeff of Poseyville and William Keith of North Manchester; her mother, Ruby Wheeler of Poseyville; a sister, Lisa Howard of Poseyville; seven brothers, Fred and Rick Wheeler, both of New Harmony, Johnny Wheeler of North Manchester, Mark Wheeler of Owensville, Scott Wheeler of Crossville, Ill., and Jerry and Roy Wheeler, both of Poseyville; and 11 grandchildren, Emily Burkhardt, Makayla, Mariah, Alyssa, Isaac, Jared, Amber, Amanda, Sarah and Nick Mobley and Andrew Harper.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Werry Funeral Home Poseyville Chapel, with burial in Saulmon cemetery.

Norman Beadles
HAZLETON — Norman F. Beadles, 89, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Holiday Manor Convalescent Center in Princeton.
He retired from the maintenance department of North Gibson School Corp. and had formerly worked for CE&I; Railroad.
He attended Hazleton General Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving are a son, Dale of Hazleton; a sister, Frances Pride of Pike County; two grandchildren, Jed and Becky Beadles; three great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
His wife, Georgia F., died in 1999.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with burial in Odd Fellows cemetery in Hazleton.

Lois Brown
CELESTINE — Lois E. Brown, 76, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at her home.
She served in the Cadet Nurse Corps for the Army Nurse Corps during World War II.
She attended the University of Wisconsin.
Surviving are her husband, Howard; two daughters, Debra Kampenga of Carmel and Nancy Ryan of Greenwood; a son, Steven of Gladstone, Mo.; two sisters, Marion Freyer of Fond Du Lac, Wis., and Louanne Zimpel of Rogers, Ark.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at a later date.

Verco Crabtree
Verco M. “George” Crabtree, 74, of Evansville, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of congestive heart failure.
He retired after 36 years with Whirlpool Corp. as a tool and gauge inspector. He enjoyed cooking.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Betty Ellen; two daughters, Rebecca J. Small and Sarah E. Johnson, both of Evansville; a son, Daniel D. of Evansville; a sister, Mary Bellwood of Evansville; three grandchildren, Keri Hartz, Andrew Johnson and Ellen Small; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, Daniel Strader officiating, with entombment in Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum, with military rites.

Richard Basham
Richard L. Basham, 65, of Evansville, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of cancer.
He retired in 1997 after 20 years as the parking garage manager for Southern Indiana Gas & Electric Co. He had also worked with Pride Brothers Wrecker Service.
He was a 20-year member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church.
In 1977, he was awarded the Outstanding Citizens Award by the Evansville Police Department.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Shirley (Riley); a daughter, Cindy Kay of Evansville; a son, Jim R. of Evansville; two sisters, Norma Jean Lloyd of Maceo, Ky., and Louise Rice of Louisville, Ky.; and six grandchildren, Amanda, Christopher and Andrew Kay, Jeremy Caine and James Richard Jr. and Courtney Basham.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Robert Nall officiating, with burial in Park Lawn cemetery.

Elizabeth Gilpatrick
Elizabeth M. Gilpatrick, 65, of Evansville, died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at her home of heart failure.
She was retired and attended Gethsemane Temple.
Surviving are three daughters, Susann Commens of Columbus, Ind., Marilyn Fletcher of Evansville and Linda Gates of Mount Vernon, Ind.; two sisters, Emilie Bergner of Yankeetown, Ind., and Lula Spurlock of Evansville; two brothers, Gordon of Chrisney, Ind., and John of Dale, Ind.; two grandsons, Adam Fletcher and Cade Swallows; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, the Rev. Bud Hales officiating, with burial in Locust Hill cemetery.

Mildred Woodruff
Mildred C. Woodruff, 90, of Evansville, died Saturday, May 27, 2000, at her home.
She was a member of Gospel of Peace Assembly.
Surviving are three daughters, Julia C. Gilberth of Claxton, Ga., Doris J. Lovell of Dawson Springs, Ky., and Donna F. Mofley of Spring, Texas; two sons, Truman Dale and Allen Dean Woodruff, both of Evansville; two sisters, Edith N. Nelson of Louisville, Ky., and Barbara J. Richardson of Greenvillle, Ky.; a brother, Shirley D. Strader of Toledo, Ohio; 21 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Truman “Bill, ” died in 1999.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gospel of Peace Assembly, the Revs. James Mercer and J. Thomas Price officiating, with burial in Salem cemetery in Nortonville, Ky.
