Bettie Sharp
Bettie M. (Perry) Sharp, 83, of New Albany, Ind., formerly of Evansville, died Monday, May 15 2000, at Robert E. Lee Retirement Center in New Albany.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Coterie, Tri Kappa Sorority, Democrat Women’s Club and New Albany Country Club. She was former assistant state director of the American Association of Retired Persons.
Surviving are a son, Stephen of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Debbie Beardsley-Heazlitt of New Albany; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and caregivers, Beth Sharp and Rand Heazlitt.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Kraft Funeral Service, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.

Lloyd Kelley
Lloyd A. Kelley, 53, formerly of Evansville, died Thursday, May 11, 2000, in Apopka, Fla., of cancer.
He was chief operation officer and co-owner of ABP Inc. of Orlando, Fla.
He was elected to the Top 100 Executives by the PEO & Insider magazine.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy Kelley of Apopka; two sons, Christopher of Clermont, Fla., and Casey of Orlando; his parents, Bill and Maxine Kelley of Evansville; and his brother, Bill of Evansville.
Burial was in Highland Memory Gardens in Apopka.
Martha Habbe
Martha Lillian Habbe, 88, formerly of Evansville, died Monday, May 15, 2000, at Bloomington (Ind.) Convalescent Center.
She had been a Gray Lady at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for many years.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. Timothy of Bloomington, Ind., and Thomas of Evansville; a sister, Betty Burton of Evansville; a brother, David Stone of Evansville; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Arnold Douglas, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville, Ind., with burial in Oak Hill cemetery in Evansville at a later date.

Donetta Lucas
VINCENNES — Donetta “Shorty” Lucas, 30, died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis of heart failure.
She had worked as a supervisor at Columbia House in Terre Haute.
She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Surviving are her mother, Caroline Lucas of Vincennes; her foster mother, Sherry Huebner of Kansas City, Mo.; her foster father, Earl Kirby of California; a sister, Linda Portee of Vincennes; five foster sisters, Shelly Thompson of Vincennes, Carmen Yarber of Vincennes, Jodi Johnson of Peoria, Ill., Paula Kirby of Holland, Mich., and Pam Kirby of Saline, Mich.; two brothers, Robert and Michael Lucas, both of Vincennes; her grandmother, Edna Burns of Vincennes; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with burial in Memorial Park cemetery.

Georgie Reed
PETERSBURG — Georgie James Reed, 77, died Monday, May 15, 2000, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
He had been a farmer and retired from Whirlpool Corp after 31 years.
He was a member of Algiers United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife Arbutus (Johnson); a daughter, Diana Walters of Petersburg; two sons, Stanley of Petersburg and David Mike of Winslow; a stepson, Tony Cundiff of Alvin, Texas; two sisters, Ann Engeleman of Key West, Fla., and Thelma Cox of Petersburg; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
His first wife, Geneva (Cox), and a stepson, Joey Cundiff, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Harris Funeral Home, with burial in Walnut Hills cemetery.

Robert Moore
BICKNELL — Robert F. Moore, 76, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Bicknell Rehabilitation Center.
He had worked for Webber Corp. in Chicago.
He was an Army veteran and member of the Senior Citizens Center.
Surviving is a sister, Delores Jean Moore of Iowa; a granddaughter, Andrea Anderson of Anoka, Minn.; and a niece.
His wife, Elizabeth Payne, died in 1991.
There will be no service or visitation at McClure Funeral Home.
Ethel Lambert
BICKNELL — Ethel (Dalzell) Newman Lambert, 96, died Monday, May 15, 2000, at Summertrace Healthcare Nursing Home.
She and her late husband, Eugene B. Newman, owned Bicknell Pharmacy from 1925 to 1965.
She was a member of Bicknell First United Methodist Church and Eastern Star.
Surviving are a son, Donald E. Newman of Carmel; a grandson, Donald E. Newman of Indianapolis; two stepgrandchildren, Howard T. Young and Pamela K. Chavis.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McClure Funeral Home, with burial in Bicknell Memorial cemetery.

John R. James Jr.
CHRISNEY — John R. James Jr., 66, died Monday, May 15 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville from an apparent heart attack.
He was the finance manager at Blade Runner Auto Sales in Evansville and had been an evangelist since 1968, conducting revivals and pastoring in the Richmond area. He was formerly the pastor at First Baptist Church in Cannelton. Recently he was pastor of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Madisonville, Ky.
He was a private pilot with over 3, 000 flight hours.
He was a 1951 graduate of Chrisney High School and was ordained in 1972 at Liberty College in Lynchburg, Va.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Lois (McCoy); two daughters, Anita Basler of Greenwood and Angela Pickett of Cicero; three sons, John of Irvine, Calif., Harry of New Orleans and Robert of Muncie; a sister, Mary Suits of Seymour; a brother Harry of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren, Donny, Brandie N., Melinda, Christa L. and Troy A. James, Monty L., Kevin A. and Kristina N. Anderson and Steffanie E. and Kari M. Pickett.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Huber Funeral Home Tell City Chapel, with burial in Grandview cemetery in Grandview.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Mamie Reutter
Mamie L. (Huff) Reutter, 88, of Evansville, died Friday, May 19, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital.
She was a 54-year member of the Germania Maennerchor Ladies Auxiliary and Chorus, where she was a soloist, and the Stadtverband of Germania Maennerchor.
Surviving are two daughters, Carol Dingman and Mary Ann Bryant, both of Evansville; three sons, Robert of Sebring, Fla., and Gerald “Jerry” and Richard, both of Evansville; two brothers, Clarence Huff of Evansville and Harold Huff of San Antonio, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Diana Mahrenholz, Thomas and Keith Reutter, Glenn Dingman, Cindy Susott and Cheryl, Cathy and Alex Bryant; and five great-grandchildren.
Her husband of 63 years, Elbert E., died in 1990.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel, the Rev. Marcus Auffermann officiating, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Helen Lamble
Helen Lamble, 85, of Evansville, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Parkview Care Center.
She had worked for Shane’s Manufacturing and Dr. James Bishop.
She was a life member of St. James West United Methodist Church, where she taught Alpha Domus Sunday school class.
Surviving are two sons, Joe of Plainfield, Ind., and Walter of Chicago; two sisters, Ruby Lee Buschkill and Josephine Christmas Reynolds, both of Evansville; a brother, Harold Buck of Evansville; four grandchildren, Judi, Michael, Wade and Brian Lamble; and five great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Leo “Bus, ” died in 1996.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. James West United Methodist Church, the Revs. Keith Adkins and Edward Miller officiating, with burial in Tupman cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel and from 9 a.m. to service time at the church.
