Patricia Mills
Patricia A. Mills, 62, of Evansville, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital of cancer.
She attended St. Anthony Church and Howell Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth Murray of Evansville; two sons, Clarence and Ben Mills, both of Evansville; two sisters, Irene Durchholz and Mary Hall, both of Evansville; a half brother, Norman Paker of Snoqualmie, Wash.; four grandchildren, Latosha and Sarah Mills, Destanie Dunning and Cameron Murray; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 9:45 a.m. Monday at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, continuing at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, the Rev. Jay Davidson officiating, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.

Edward Payne
Edward “Andy” Payne, 37, of Evansville, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital of multiple stab wounds.
He worked for Ted Pease Construction Co. as a roofer.
Surviving are his mother, Jacqueline Payne of Evansville; a sister, Jacqueline Marie Lehman of Evansville; two stepsisters, Mary Pease of Elberfeld, Ind., and Barbara Martin of Florida; two brothers, Robert L. of Evansville and Larry of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy, in 1996.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, the Rev. Bob Simpkins officiating, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.

Leander Broady
Leander John Broady, 78, of Mount Vernon, Ill., formerly of Evansville, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital.
He was a crane operator and mechanic in construction.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon, Ind., the Masonic Lodge of Cannelton, Ind., Operating Engineers Local 181 in Henderson, Ky., and the Evansville Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Martha G.; two daughters, Sandra Strunk of Bedford, Ind., and Carlotta Ford of Grand Forks, N.D.; a son, Leander John II of Mount Vernon, Ill.; two sisters, June Collins of Borden, Ind., and Etta Mae Minton of Memphis, Ind.; four brothers, Paul of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Frank, Martin and Danny Lee, all of Memphis, Ind.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Ill., the Rev. John Capps officiating, with burial in Bethel Memorial cemetery in Mount Vernon.

Robert Clayton
Robert L. Clayton, 70, of Santa Claus, Ind., formerly of Evansville, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Care Services/Welborn Campus of heart failure.
He retired from First Federal Savings Bank and remained chairman of the board.
He was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Mariah Hill, Ind.
He was a member of the West Side Nut Club, serving in all offices including president in 1964, past president of the Mater Dei Booster Club, past president of the West Side Business and Professional Association, member of the Evansville Board of Realtors, Christmas Lake Golf Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars 1114.
He was a graduate of Memorial High School and a Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Mary Lou; two daughters, Cindy Bauer of Evansville and Cathy Hawkins of Santa Claus; two sons, Robert L. Jr. of Santa Claus and Ronald D. of Evansville; a sister, Barbara Montgomery of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, James of Evansville; and 11 grandchildren, Christy, Amanda, Maddie, Kelsey and Laura Clayton, Alicia Esarey, Seth, Nathan and Jessica Bauer and Colin and Ben Hawkins.
Services will be at 10 a.m. CST Tuesday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Mariah Hill, Ind., the Rev. Paul Roos officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel and from 9 a.m. to service time at the church.

Henry Risberg
Henry W. Risberg, 91, brother of Carrie Hajek of Evansville, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, in Plymouth, Ind.
Also surviving are his wife of 63 years; and two nephews.
Services were held Feb. 20 in Plymouth, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery in Chicago.
Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home in Plymouth handled arrangements.
Frieda Shoultz
NEW HARMONY, Ind. — Frieda (Woods) Shoultz, 92, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Southern Living Assisted Care Home in Stone Mountain, Ga.
She taught school in New Harmony and directed the Posey County Home Ec Chorus for 36 years.
She was a charter member of the Grace Golden Music Guild and helped organize the 1978 state music convention held in New Harmony.
She was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church and served as director of the church choir. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Nile, where she directed the Nile Choir for seven years, a charter member of the Beta Chapter of Tri-Kappa, a member of the Eastern Star since 1928 and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was a graduate of Owensville High School and attended Evansville College.
Surviving are a son, Kae Don of Stone Mountain, Ga.; a sister, Eugenia Hudelston of Owensville; two granddaughters, Tara M. Markham and Gretchen S. Hood; three stepgrandchildren, Amanda Reeves and Owen F. and Paige Redd; five great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, James E., in 1999, and by a son, James D., in infancy.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, with burial in Maple Hill cemetery.

Larry Collins
OAKLAND CITY, Ind. — Larry D. Collins, 60, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
He retired from Old Ben Coal Co. after 22 years.
He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and American Legion Post 256 in Oakland City.
Surviving are a daughter, Melody Collins of Evansville; and a son, Tim of Oakland City.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, with burial in Montgomery cemetery.

Mary Cox
WASHINGTON, Ind. — Mary Margie Cox, 80, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Daviess Community Hospital.
She worked for Uni-Royal for 31 years and Reliance for 10 years.
She was a member of St. John’s Espicopal Church and the Women of the Moose.
Surviving are nephews.
Her husband, Harold E., died in 1992.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Episcopal Church, with burial in Oak Grove cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Gill Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. to service time at the church.

Infant Ezra Dixon
FORT BRANCH, Ind. — Ezra Joel Dixon, 53-day old son of David W. and Renee S. Dixon, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville of severe perinatal depression.
Also surviving are three sisters, Rachel, Hannah and Abigail Dixon, all of Fort Branch; two brothers, Nathan and Joshua, both of Fort Branch; and his grandmothers, Margaret Sibrel and Nancy Neale.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.
There will be no visitation at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel in Evansville.
Paul Lively
Paul Ray Lively, 74, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital.
He retired from Whirlpool after 40 years and currently worked for Professional Transportation Service.
He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church.
He was a member of the River Bend Association, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 1114 and past president of the Eagles Country Club.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Pacific. He received the Purple Heart and an Oak Leaf Cluster.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Dorothy (Roth); three daughters, Linda Munday of Lynn Haven, Fla., Paula Cates of Evansville and Debbie Wolf of Crawfordsville, Ind.; six grandchildren, Jamie Huffine, Lori Watson, Jennifer and Jake Inkenbrandt and Chuck and David Munday; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Donald Moore officiating, with burial in Park Lawn cemetery.
