Roberta Taylor
CANNELTON, Ind. — Roberta (Doughty) Allen Taylor, 89, died Saturday, March 18, 2000, at Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center in Fort Myers, Fla.
She retired in 1973 as director of elementary education for the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. in Columbus, Ind. She had been director of elementary education in Madison Heights, Mich., and she taught school in Perry County at Lupp, Lafayette and the Consolidated Schools.
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Cannelton.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda Jedlicka of Valrico, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Ruth Ann Taylor-Georgiades of Houston; a stepson, Clark of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sisters, Girly Cousert of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Anna Louise Badger of Cannelton; two grandchildren, James Weaver and Gaylee Jedlicka; and five stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Z. Allen, and her second husband, Lovell C. Taylor Sr.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Huber Funeral Home Cannelton Chapel, with burial in Cliff cemetery.

Virginia Wigginton
RICHLAND, Ind. — Virginia H. (Jackson) Wigginton, 84, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at Woodlands
Convalescent Center in Newburgh.
She had worked at General Electric and retired as a cook from Seven Hills Elementary School in Owensboro, Ky.
She was a member of the Seven Hills Baptist Church in Owensboro.
Surviving are her husband, William Claude Sr. of Newburgh; a daughter, Doris F. Meece of Richland; two sons, William Claude “Sonny” Jr. of Burlington, Iowa, and Jesse of Fort Smith, Ark.; a brother, Paul Jackson of Owensboro; 13 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, with burial in Mount Carmel cemetery in Pleasant Ridge, Ky.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Helen Sartor
BRUCEVILLE, Ind. — Helen E. Sartor, 87, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.
She attended the Bruceville United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty Roark of Sumner, Ill., and Peggy Bobe of Bruceville; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Earl H., died in 1995.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. EST today at McClure Funeral Home, with burial in Bruceville cemetery.

Mary Kluesner
BICKNELL, Ind. — Mary K. Kluesner, 80, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Freelandville Community Home.
She was a member of Oaktown Church of Christ.
Surviving are a daughter, Louise Branch of Freelandville; a son, Robert of Bruceville; a sister, Juanita Sneed of Terre Haute; a brother, Elmer Charlton of Carlisle; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Lee, and a son preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. EST Friday at McClure Funeral Home, with burial in Morris Chapel cemetery.

Bonnie Main
Bonnie Main, 69, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital of kidney and heart failure.
Surviving are her husband of 41 years, James “Jack” Main; a sister, Norma Hartig of Evansville; two brothers, John and Richard Reine, both of Evansville; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel, the Rev. Thomas J. Ressler officiating, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.

Gilbert Smith
Gilbert L. Smith, 77, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at his home of cancer.
He retired after more than 35 years with General Foods. He was known by his fellow employees as “Whitey Smith.”
He was a 1941 Central High School graduate and was a World War II Army veteran, serving for five years in the Army Corps of Engineers.
He enjoyed gardening and landscaping.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Frances H. Brandt; a stepson, Wilburn Brandt; two sisters, Evelyn Rogers of Evansville and Jeanette Perry of Florida; a brother, Chris of Evansville; four stepgrandchildren, Kurt E., Eric and Rex Brandt and Beth Brewer; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Kurt Brandt officiating, with burial in Park Lawn cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Eva Casstlevecchio
Eva Lee Casstlevecchio, 76, of Evansville, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at her home of cancer.
She retired from the Roca Bar, where she had been manager for many years.
Surviving are two sisters, May Sutton of Henderson, Ky., and Opal Hape of Evansville; and nieces and nephews, including Becky Schultz and Samantha Rawden, both of Evansville, who cared for her.
Services and burial will be private. Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel is handling arrangements.

Luella Bell
Luella Elizabeth Bell, 99, formerly of Evansville, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, in Sarasota, Fla.
She was a 1918 graduate of Central High School.
Surviving are two sons, Harold of Sarasota and Earle Howard of Bellingham, Wash.; five grandchildren, Elizabeth A. Omler and Sandra L., Douglas S., Jeffrey and Gregory Bell; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Douglas, died in 1967.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. James Coons-Torn officiating, with burial in Bethlehem cemetery.

Vivian Sutton
Vivian L. Sutton, 84, of Ontario, Calif., formerly of Evansville, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at Upland Convalescent Hospital.
She had been active in politics and served as deputy city clerk in Evansville in the 1950s.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Casto of Ontario; a sister, Ellen Froman of Brooksville, Fla.; a brother, DuVall Critser of Louisville; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces.

Lois Payne
Lois M. Payne, 80, formerly of Evansville, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, in her home in Effingham, Ill.
She retired as a librarian from the Effingham Unit 40 School District.
She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Effingham County Genealogical Society and member of St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband, James M.; two daughters, Carol Unger of Rockville, Md., and Gwen Weaver of Idaho Falls, Idaho; a sister, Margaret Reisinger of Indianapolis; a brother, Clifford Wittenbraker of Evansville; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, Ill., with burial in Oakridge cemetery.

Kenneth Nugent
CANNELTON, Ind. — Kenneth A. Nugent, 60, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of cancer.
He was a self-employed auto mechanic for 43 years.
He enjoyed fishing and drawing and was a NASCAR fan.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Kathryn; four daughters, Lisa Dutschke of Troy, Kimberly Cronin of Tell City, Stacy Mullen of Newtonville and Tammy Hodgman of North Webster; a son, Brian of Tobinsport; his mother, Minnie Rose Nugent of Owensboro, Ky.; two sisters, Bonnie Pitman of Owensboro and Janice Brooks of Dallas; two brothers, Wayne of West Virginia, and Robert of Lewisport, Ky.; 12 grandchildren, Kenny and Austin Dutschke, Carrie Tindle, Ryan, Donald, Ashley Cronin, Sami Jo Mullen, Tiffany, Whitney and Cody Braun, Morgan Burton and Miranda Hodgman; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
A son, Bruce, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. EST Saturday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, with burial in the Troy City cemetery.
