Eva Farmer
Eva J. Farmer, 81, of Evansville, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at her home. She was a member of Westwood General Baptist Church and the Young at Heart Club at Memorial Baptist Church.
She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.
Surviving are three daughters, Carold Tenhumberg, Sherry Burdette and Debbie Poiles. all of Evansville; two sons, Edward of Albany, Ore., and David of Evansville; a brother, Adam Wozniak of Poland; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pierre Funeral Home, the Rev. John Sloan officiating, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Clarence Botzum
Clarence G. Botzum, 85, of Evansville, died Wednesday, March, 22, 2000, at his home. He retired after 62 years as a
plumber and steamfitter. He was a 62-year member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 136.
He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving in Africa and was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6576 in Wadesville.
He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in the county and enjoyed farming and reading.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Reinildes (Elpers); two daughters, Elaine Botzum and Denise DeJean, both of Evansville; two sons, Edward of Haubstadt, Ind., and Wayne of Evansville; and nine grandchildren, Chris, Leeann, Breana, Krystlyn, Andrea and Dustin Botzum and Ryan, Jeff and Tyler DeJean.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in the county, the Rev. Richard Wildeman officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a memorial service at 5 p.m., at Pierre Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to service time at the church.

Dorothy Shoemaker
Dorothy M. Shoemaker, 76, of Evansville, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at her home of heart failure. She retired after
40 years with Indiana Bell Telephone and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Ladies Aid Society, Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, White Shrine, Goodwill Auxiliary and Hadi Honored Ladies through the Hadi Shrine.
She was an avid rose grower.
Surviving are a sister, Betty Koenig of Evansville; and a nephew. Her husband, Harold, died in 1998.
Services will be at 2 p.m, . Friday at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel, the Rev. Louis H. Dorsch officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Ruth Johnson
Ruth E. “Cricket” Johnson, 80, of Evansville, died Monday, March 20, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital. She retired in 1987
from the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corp. as the custodian for Central High School.
She was a member of the North Park Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Ann Gardner of Henderson, Ky.; a son, Don Johnson of Evansville; four sisters, Tera and Lena Ford, both of Calhoun, Ky., Nora Kleeman of Newburgh and Vernie Welch of Henderson; nine grandchildren, Grant Johnson, Bill and Scott Gardner, Cheryl Gray, Janet Ziegler, Robin Sallee, Debbie Kulz, and Curt and Eric Nellis; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Morris White Johnson, died in 1987.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel, Arthur Christmas officiating, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery.

Glen Henderson
Glen E. Henderson, 66, of Evansville, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at his home from complications of lung cancer.
He retired in 1992 after 26 years with Whirlpool Corp. on the assembly line.
He was a Korean War Air Force veteran.
Surviving are his mother, Minnie (Steele) Henderson of Evansville; three brothers, Mace of Pensacola, Fla., and Jim and Leland, both of Evansville; his companion who cared for him, Dana Raye Karns; and nieces and a nephew.
His wife, Patsy (Bruce) died in 1991 and a son, Randy, died in 1990.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, Brother John Ellis officiating, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.

Charles Yard
Charles Henry Yard, 80, formerly of Evansville, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at the University Heights Convalescent Center in Indianapolis.
He had worked for Schnacke Inc., George Koch Sons, Budlock Refrigeration & Supply Co., Hoosier Cardinal Corp., Columbia Hardware Co. and Columbia Shoe Rebuilders.
He was a World War II Army Medical Corps veteran, serving in the Europe as a battalion mechanic and maintenance sergeant. He received five Battle Stars.
He was a 1937 Reitz High School graduate.
He was a life member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in the city and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114.
He had been a figure skater in the New Blades Ice Show.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra K. Moreland of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mary Louise Tooke of Evansville and Charlotte Minnette of Terra Haute, Ind.; two grandchildren, Kristi Bishop and Michael T. Moreland; and two great-grandchildren.
His wife, Betty J., died in 1994.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, continuing at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in the city, the Rev. Michael Allen and the St. Joseph Pastoral Team officiating, with entombment in Oak Hill cemetery Mausoleum, with military rites.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with a memorial service at 4 p.m.
Clarence Henry
Clarence H. Henry, 83, of Evansville, died March 21, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Care Service/Welborn Campus. He had been a mechanic for 35 years at Kenny Kent, Cooke Chevrolet and Leasway Leasing, retiring in 1980.
He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving as a Motor Machinist Mate 3rd Class in the Pacific.
He was a graduate of Springfield High School in Illinois.
He was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114.
After his retirement, he worked in craft shows as a woodworker.
He enjoyed bowling, clabber and traveling and had been in every state and five foreign countries.
Surviving are a daughter, Marsha Engle of Malibu, Calif.; two sons, Jerry of Collinsville, Okla., and Dick of Teutopolis, Ill.; a sister, Helen Henry of Springfield, Ill.; two brothers, Keith and John, both of Springfield; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
His wife, Evelyn L, ., died in 1999 and a daughter, Carolyn, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Alexander Memorial Park Mausoleum, the Rev. Donald W. Bernhardt and Joseph W. Fraccaro officiating, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park Mausoleum, with military rites.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel and from 10 a.m. to service time at the mausoleum.

Betty Rainey
PRINCETON, Ind. — Betty Lou Rainey, 72, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at her home of cancer.
She retired from Faultless Caster in Evansville.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1147 and Eagles Ladies Auxiliaries. She attended Baldwin Heights Tabernacles Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Terri Teeters of Hazleton and Deb Greenwell of Princeton; two sons, Richard and Mike, both of Princeton; a sister, Helen Hubbard of Arizona; a brother, Jerauld Wallace of New Castle; 10 grandchildren, Crystal and Jeremy Robb, Amber, Katie, Brandy, Nicholas and Jessica Rainey, Natalie Danels, Jana Teeters and Danielle Brown.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Colvin Funeral Home, with burial in Maple Hill cemetery.

Gene Easley
PRINCETON, Ind. — Gene Easley, 68, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville from compli-
cations after surgery. He was semiretired and was sexton of the Odd Fellows, Maple Hill and White Church cemeteries. He formerly was a backhoe operator and grave digger for many area cemeteries and had worked for Bradford Supply in Princeton, Ky., and in Illinois.
He was a member of the Hillside United Methodist Church, Odd Fellows Lodge and the Jaycees.
Surviving are his wife, Wilma; a daughter, Sharon Pridgen of Princeton; a son, Mike of Princeton; his mother, Nonda Chapman of Princeton; six grandchildren, Kimberly McKannon, Kristy Whitehouse, Karmen Pridgen, Micaela Rankine and Branson and Kathleen Easley; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hillside United Methodist Church, with burial in White Church cemetery.
