Ulysses Coleman
Ulysses Coleman, 74, of Newburgh, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at Cypress Grove Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of cancer.
He had been a steel worker in Chicago.
He was a 1943 graduate of Lincoln High School.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
Surviving are a daughter, Marcia A. Milliken of Baltimore; two sons, Mark A. and Michael A., both of Evansville; a sister, Mary Robinson of Baltimore; two brothers, Millard Scruggs of Evansville and Eddie Coleman of Chesapeake Bay, Va.; two granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Douglas F. Smith officiating, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery, with military rites.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Erin Offutt
Erin L. Offutt, 24, formerly of Newburgh, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, in Huber Heights, Ohio. Her death is under investigation by the Montgomery County Coroner.
She worked as a trainer with Digital and Analog Design Corp.
She was a graduate of Castle High School, where she was in the marching band, and a 1997 graduate of Ball State University.
Surviving are her parents, Carl and Ruth Offutt of Tipp City, Ohio; two sisters, Arden Boggs of Kentucky and Carrie Reese of Indiana; her grandmothers, Elizabeth Eaton and Lilli Offutt; and a nephew.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today at Tipp City United Methodist Church in Tipp City, Ohio, the Rev. Linda Davis officiating.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time at the church.
Terebinski Funeral Home Forest Hills Chapel in Tipp City is handling arrangements.

Anna Bacchi
Anna M. (Barthel) Bacchi, 92, formerly of Evansville, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Kearney Mesa Convalescent Center in San Diego.
Surviving are her husband, Remo L.; a daughter, Carole A. Selawski of Havre DeGrace, Md.; two sons, James S. Barthel of San Diego and Michael J. Barthel of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister, Ruth Schnautz of San Diego; a brother, William I. Froehlich of Arizona; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Her first husband, Raymond Barthel, died in 1975.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Monsignor Kenneth Knapp officiating, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to service time at the church.

Robert J. “Bob” Wade
HAUBSTADT, Ind. — Several friends of Robert J. “Bob” Wade, said Haubstadt was a better community because of the many good deeds of the local businessman.
Wade, 71, died Friday, March 24, 2000, at his home of congestive heart failure.
He owned and operated Wade Funeral Home and Wade Insurance Agency in Haubstadt from 1950 until his retirement in 1994. He also served as Gibson County Coroner from 1960 to 1968.
He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, where he was a member of the choir and a former religious education instructor.
He was a member of the Haubstadt Chamber of Commerce, where he served as publicity chairman for the annual Sommerfest for many years.
Charles “Charlie” Wilhite was in the local Chamber with Wade for 30 years.
“He (Wade) was always for the betterment of Haubstadt, ” Wilhite said.
“He was a very friendly person and a good businessman, ” said Roy Hirsch, also of Haubstadt. “There would be nothing bad I could ever say about him.”
Wade was also a 50-year member and past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 2215 and a member of Knights of St. John Commandary 345 and American Legion Post 194.
He was a 1945 graduate of Princeton High School, a 1949 graduate of the Indiana College of Mortuary Science and a member of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association, where he was a past District Director.
He was a Navy veteran and played the trumpet in high school and in the Navy.
Surviving are three daughters, Carol Money of Fort Branch, Donna Molenda of Cincinnati and Joanie Pohl of Evansville; two sons, Mark R. of Cynthiana and Alan J. of Haubstadt; 12 grandchildren; two stepgrandsons; a great-granddaughter; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
His wife of 43 years, Valada T. (Knapp), died in 1994.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery, with military rites.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a memorial service at 6:30 p.m., at Wade Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
William Willman
MOUNT VERNON, Ind. — William E. “Bill” Willman, 79, died Friday, March 24, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of pneumonia.
He worked as a superintendent for Baytex Oil Co. in Dallas and at Babcock and Wilcox and Frank Moll Motor Co. in Mount Vernon. He was also a farmer.
He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Mount Vernon and the Eagles and Elks Lodges in Mount Vernon.
Surviving are his wife, Rita M. (Klinger); a daughter, Mary Ellen Schmitt of Haubstadt; two sons, William of Clayton, Calif., and Michael A. of St. Philips; a sister, Lydia Schroeder of Evansville; six grandchildren, Michael Sean, William David and Braden Willman, Brittney Groess and Robert and Kathryn Schmitt; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Boone Funeral Home Mount Vernon Chapel, continuing at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, with burial in St. John cemetery in Bufkin.
Friends may call from1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a rosary at 6 p.m., at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.
Josephine Joest
WADESVILLE, Ind. — Josephine A. (Seibert) Joest, 94, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at Allison Healthcare in Poseyville.
She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Poseyville, the church Ladies Club, St. Francis Quilting Club and the American Legion, World War I Veterans and Farm Bureau Auxiliaries.
Surviving are two daughters, LaVerne Holder of Poseyville and Mary Ann McInnis of Abilene, Texas; two sons, William Jr. of Tyler, Texas, and Jerome “Jerry” of Indianapolis; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Her husband, William Francis Sr., died in 1991.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Catholic Church, with burial in St. Francis cemetery in Poseyville.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a rosary and wake at 7 p.m., at Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville.

Walter Rohleder
HUNTINGBURG, Ind. — Walter E. Rohleder, 92, died Friday, March 24, 2000, at Huntingburg Convalescent Center.
He was a carpenter and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. EST Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg, with burial in the church cemetery.

Roy Johnson
PRINCETON, Ind. — Roy Johnson, 81, died Friday, March 24, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
He was self-employed as an auto mechanic for 40 years.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 1147 and Princeton Masonic Lodge 231.
He was a World War II Army veteran, with the rank of captain.
Surviving are a daughter, Margaret Marks of Elkins Park, Pa.; a son, Kenneth of Orange Park, Fla.; two sisters, Stacy Tuthill of College Park, Md., and Leta Bellamy of Navarre, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
His wife, Louise, died in January.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home, with burial in Maple Hill cemetery, with military rites.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Eula Fitzpatrick
Eula Holland Fitzpatrick, 86, died Monday, March 20, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was a member of
Eastview Baptist Church and attended the New Bethel Baptist Church.
Surviving are nieces and nephews including, Greg Holland and Dorman Moore who cared for her; and a sister-in-law who cared for her, Roberta Holland.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Eastview Baptist Church, the Revs. T.A. Straight and Emrich Tyler officiating, with burial pending.
