Berniece Hayes
OAK-LAND CITY, Ind. — Berniece (Bubenzer) Hayes, 98, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at Petersburg Healthcare Center.
She served as minister of the Forsythe United Methodist Church near Oakland City for 15 years. After retiring she became a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Oakland City.
She was a member of Eastern Star 451.
Her husband, the Rev. C.J. Hayes and a son, Paul, preceded her in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Pauline Friley of Evansville; two sons, Daniel J. and Claud L., both of Vincennes; two brothers, Ernest Bubenzer of Madison, Wis., and Gus Bubenzer of Freelandville; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, with burial in Montgomery cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or a favorite charity.
Albert Paulin
TELL CITY, Ind. — Alberta V. Paulin, 83, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She and her late husband, Clifford “Ike, ” had owned and operated C.G. Paulin Plumbing, Heating & Electric for 36 years.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed playing bingo.
Surviving are three sons, Donald R. of Tell City, David L. and Clifford J., both of Terre Haute; two sisters, Ann Stewart of New Albany and Jeanette Dauby of Tell City; and nine grandchildren, James, Eric, Shawn, Nick, Andrea and Katherine Paulin, Tonya Shattuck, Martine Carr and Michele Canales.
Services will be at 11 a.m. EST Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary’s cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Wilburt Cooper
HOLLAND, Ind. — Wilburt Leroy “Clutch” Cooper, 56, died Friday, March 24, 2000, at his home of an apparent heart attack.
Surviving are two daughters, Dawn L. Cooper of Plymouth, Ohio, and Brandie Wright of Huntingburg; his mother, Eva Mae Cooper of Holland; a sister, Barbara Randolph of Huntingburg; and two grandchildren, Ansela and Ezra Thompson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. EST Tuesday at Fuller Funeral Home Huntingburg Memorial Chapel, with burial pending.

Walter Hartman
MOUNT VERNON, Ind. — Walter H. Hartman, 89, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital from a stroke.
He had worked at Chrysler Corp. for 30 years and he was a farmer.
He was a member of the St. Philip Catholic Church.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Lorena (Luigs); two daughters, Lois M. Herrmann of Evansville and Linda N. Conville of Mount Vernon; a son, Walter L. Jr. of Mount Vernon; a brother, Leonard of Evansville; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pierre Funeral Home, continuing at 10:30 a.m. in St. Philip Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a 5 p.m. memorial service.

William Wayman
FORT BRANCH, Ind. — William H. Wayman, 77, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of an apparent heart attack.
He had worked for Whirlpool Corp.
He was a World War II veteran and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanette; three daughters, Carol McCollum of Spring, Texas, Nancy Robinson of Folsomville and Sheri Spicer of Fort Branch; a son, Brett of Fort Branch; a brother, Jack of Evansville; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stodghill Funeral Home, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park with military rites.

Rev. Oliver Rupprecht
The Rev. Oliver C. Rupprecht, 96, formerly of Evansville, died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, in Milwaukee.
He was the first pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Evansville and was a professor of English, history and church music at Concordia College.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine (Zurstadt); four daughters, Helen and Mildred Brodhagen, Edith Lehrke and Ethel Bertermann; three sons, Carl, Paul and John; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Service Inc. in Wauwatosa, Wis., handled arrangements, with burial in Forrest Home cemetery in Milwaukee.
Edith Bone
Edith (Fugate) Bone, 81, of Evansville, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000, at North Park Nursing Center.
She was a saleswoman for Three Sister Clothing Store for 10 years.
She was a member of the East Side Baptist Church. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2953 Ladies Auxiliary in Evansville and the American Legion Post 351 Ladies Auxiliary in Elberfeld, Ind.
Surviving is a son, William “Mike” of Elberfeld. Her husband, William “Bill, ” died in 1992.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Robert Moore officiating, with burial in Grapevine cemetery in Madisonville, Ky.

Teresa Ashby
Teresa M. (Heerdink) Ashby, 101, of Evansville, died Tuesday, April 25, 2000, at Good Samaritan Home.
For 20 years, she was a child-caregiver and she worked at the Salvation Army for 10 years. During World War II, she worked at Servel in the wing plant and had worked at Temple Cigar Factory.
Surviving are two daughters, Anita J. Kissel of Evansville and Charlene Chapman of Henderson, Ky.; a son, Norman D. of Henderson; 26 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvia, in 1947, two daughters, Agnes Knight in 1982 and Joan Frazier in 1990, and a son, James E., in 1994.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, the Rev. Harold Hammerstein officiating, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.

William Yunker
William H. Yunker, 74, of Evansville, died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital of cancer.
He worked out of Local 181.
He was a World War II Army veteran, serving with operating engineers in Germany. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114, West Side Sportman’s Club, the R Men’s Club at Reitz High School and was one of the founders of Southwind Beagle Club.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, June; four daughters, Rebecca Ann Lundy of Henderson, Ky., and Cheryl Aldridge, June A. Pillow and Sue Ellen Dockery, all of Evansville; a son, Bryan David of Evansville; nine grandchildren, Max David and Zachary Yunker, Stephanie and Page Dockery, Greg and Dawn Lundy, Kara Nemer, Billy Gates and Brittany Aldridge; and two great-grandchildren.
A son, William H. III, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Alexander Funeral Home West Chapel, the Rev. Marcus Auffermann officiating, with burial in Tupman cemetery, with military rites.

Raymond Fuller
Raymond Eugene Fuller, 74, of Linton, Ind., father of Andy of Newburgh and James of Evansville, died Monday, April 24, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, Ind., of complications of heart bypass surgery.
He retired from Peabody Coal Co. as a prospect driller. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Linton.
Also surviving are his wife, Mary Ellen (Treber); a daughter, Rosemary Kniggendorf of Merriam, Kan.; his mother, Mabel (Green) Fuller of Boonville, Ind.; two brothers, Donald of Geneseo, Ill., and John T. of Belleville, Ill.; and six grandchildren, Anne and Leslie Kniggendorf and Jesse, Jacob, Joey and Tess Fuller.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel, with burial in Maple Grove cemetery in Boonvillle.
