Beverly Powell
ELBERFELD, Ind. — Beverly A. (Overbeck) Powell, 53, died Sunday, March 26, 2000, at her home of cancer.
She was a registered nurse and had worked at St. Mary’s Medical Center and Clarian Health.
She was a member of St. Matthew’s United Church of Christ in Lynnville.
Surviving are a son, Gene Morgan of Oakland City; her mother, Lillian (Schmidt) Tyring of Spurgeon; two sisters, Betty Overbeck of Boonville and Barbara Sanders of Lynnville; a granddaughter, Ashlyn Morgan; and nieces and nephews.
Her son, Brian Morgan, died in 1968.
There will be no services or visitation at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City.
Louis Franz
GENTRYVILLE, Ind. — Louis Franz, 62, died Monday, March 27, 2000, at his home of congestive heart failure.
He was a Warrick County farmer and retired after more than 29 years with Alcoa Warrick Operations in 1994.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Faye (Bender); two daughters, Rita Blackford of Boonville and Sheila Crooks of Higbee, Mo.; a son, James L. of Gentryville; four sisters, Norma Simpson, Geneva Adams and Kathy Dorsey, all of Boonville, and Mary Alice Hunt of Gentryville; two brothers, Leonard Jr. of Tennyson and Donnie of Boonville; three grandchildren, James A. and Jennifer Franz and Nicholas Blackford; and a great-grandson.
Services will be at 2 pm. Wednesday at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel, with burial in Clark cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Riley Hospital for Children.
Ronald Fulcher
PETERSBURG, Ind. — Ronald D. Fulcher, 46, died Sunday, March 26, 2000, at University Hospital in Louisville, Ky., as a result of injuries sustained in a house fire on March 11.
He was a welder and had worked for Jasper Rubber.
He was an Army veteran.
Surviving are his mother, Mabel McCraney of Petersburg; three sisters, Judy Trustee of Bradenton, Fla., Jeanie Ledgerwood of Orleans, Ind., and Susy Moore of Petersburg; two brothers, Jack and Jimmy, both of Petersburg; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Poindexter-Hall & McClure Funeral Home in Washington, Ind., with burial in Oak Grove-Reeve Township cemetery.

Alberta Kuper
JASPER, Ind. — Alberta A. Kuper, 78, died Sunday, March, 26, 2000, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.
She retired from Kimball Electronics in Jasper.
She was a member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Holy Family Catholic Church, Blessed Virgin Sodality, Daughters of Isabella, Home Economics Club and life member of Celestine Community Club.
Surviving are three sons, Daniel of Sunnyvale, Calif., Mark of Phoenix and Steven of Celestine; a sister, Frieda Heichelbech of Jasper; two brothers, Butch Oser of Kentucky Lake, Ky., and Bob Oser of Huntingburg; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Alfred, died in 1977.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial in Fairview cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Becher & Kluesner Downtown Chapel, with a rosary at 3 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge.
Roger Gayer
FORT BRANCH, Ind. — Roger Gayer, 64, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at his home of an apparent heart attack.
He was a carpenter.
Surviving are two daughters, Debra Gayer of Chicago and Marlena Gayer of Indianapolis; two sons, Roger Lee of Chicago and Tracy of Princeton; two sisters, Marie Wright of Fort Branch and Marlena Seaton of Fort Myers, Fla.; a brother, Bland Jr. of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Stodghill Funeral Home, with burial in Columbia White Church in Princeton.

Edwin McCullough
WASHINGTON, Ind. — Edwin Douglas “Ed” McCullough, 56, died Sunday, March 26, 2000, at his home of an apparent heart attack.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Kindell Mining Co. and a member of the United Mine Workers.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, American Legion, Moose, Eagles and life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Surviving are his wife, Janet; two daughters, Christiana Cox of Washington and Carolyn Owens of Vincennes; his mother, Pauline McCullough of rural Washington; a brother, Lonnie McCullough of Washington; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. EST Wednesday at Gill Chapel, with entombment in Sugarland Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with military rites.

WASHINGTON, Ind. — Helen Lucile Page, 88, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at Eastgate Manor Nursing Center.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Faith of Washington; four sons, Floyd “Bill” and Jackie “Jack, ” both of Martinsville, Danny of Odon and Oscar L. of Washington; a sister, Mary Barnick of Clearwater, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd W., and two sons, John and Richard.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. EST today at Gill Funeral Home, with burial in Ebeneezer cemetery.

Nina Hale
PETERSBURG, Ind. — Nina P. Hale, 76, died Sunday, March 26, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of heart failure.
She was a member of the Church of God in Petersburg.
Surviving are a daughter, Jill Crane of Charlotte, N.C.; three sons, Rodney of Parachute, Colo., Rich of Jasper and Jack of Greenwood; a sister, Mary McQuat of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. EST Wednesday at the Church of God, with burial in Pleasant Ridge cemetery.

William Dalton
William “Earl” Dalton, 79, of Evansville, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital of a heart attack.
He owned and operated Dalton Auto Service, Inc. and had been president of the Independent Garage Owners Association.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre and member of the Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Helen; two sons, Steven of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Mark of Macon, Ga.; a brother, Bob of Henderson, Ky.; three grandchildren, Scott, Stacy and Matthew; a great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Alexander Funeral Home North Chapel, the Rev. Arthur Christmas officiating, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park Mausoleum.

William Adcock
William T. Adcock, 76, of Evansville, died Sunday, March 26, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Care Services/Welborn Campus of cancer.
He retired after 46 years with International Steel as a welder.
He was a member of the Strangers Rest Lodge 240, Hadi Temple and Boonville Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Lois “Pat”; three stepdaughters, Sherry Saltzman of Tennyson, Ind., Charlotte Johnson of Fordsville, Ky., and Doris Hall of Chrisney, Ind.; seven stepgrandchildren; and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Alexander Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. John Swain officiating, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.

Clarence Kundert
Clarence E. Kundert, 83, of Evansville, died Sunday, March 26, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital.
He retired after 30 years with Kight Lumber Co. as manager.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Lillian; three daughters, Bonnie Carroll and Sandi Adams, both of Evansville, and Carol Backer of Jupiter, Fla.; a son, Chuck of Newburgh; a sister, Mabel Weibel of Merrill, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Maria Worthington, Sheryl Vincent, Tim Adams, Laurel Antonino, Angela Perkins, Barbara Forcum and Chad Kundert; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, the Rev. John Heusmann officiating, with burial in the Lutheran cemetery.
