Pamela White
Pamela (Hawes) White, 56, of Evansville, died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at her home of cancer.
She had worked at Mead Johnson, Alcoa Warrick Operations and was a real estate agent for 21 years.
She was a 1960 graduate of Central High School and a member of Crossroads Christian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Kristin White of San Diego, Calif.; a son, Darren of Dover, Del.; her parents, Orian and June (Dibble) Hawes of Evansville; three sisters, Mona Hendricks and Cheri Hawes, both of Evansville, and Janis McClung of Unionville, Ind.; two brothers, Kerry of Hartford, Ky., and Jack of Evansville; a grandson, Brandon White; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Browning Funeral Home, the Rev. Aaron Pelsue officiating, with burial in the Alexander Memorial Park.

Harry Lukeman Jr.
Harry E. Lukeman Jr., 80, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999, at the Willow Park Retirement Residence.
He retired as a lineman after 38 years, from SIGECO. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Tepe and Vicki L. Bealmear, both of Evansville; three sons, Larry W., Russell A. and Robert E., all of Evansville; a sister, Sarah L. Oberhausen of Evansville; a brother, William H. of Evansville; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
His wife, Phyllis, died in 1989.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, with burial in Park Lawn cemetery, with military rites.

Robert Keating
Robert “Bob” Keating, 68, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999, of cancer at his home.
He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Roselyn; two sons, Michael and James “Skip, ” both of Evansville; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Rachel Keating.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, with burial in St. Joseph cemetery.

Francis Titzer
Francis H. Titzer, 79, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999, at the Evansville Protestant Home.
For 35 years, he was an Evansville firefighter. He also owned Titzer Drapery Service.
He was a World War II Army veteran and member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Jetta; a daughter, Patty L. Heldt of Bedford, Ind.; four sons, Frank, Keith and Kevin, all of Evansville, and Robert A. of Jamestown, N.C.; a brother, Clarence of Evansville; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, continuing at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, Monsignor Kenneth Knapp officiating, with burial in Shady Grove cemetery in Crittenden County in Kentucky.

Jack Madden
Jack D. Madden, 63, of Evansville, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
He had worked in bridge construction for 35 years and was a charter member of the Inland Yacht Club.
Surviving are his wife, Janet; a daughter, Carla Richard of Evansville; his mother, Maudie Stanley of Henderson, Ky.; a sister, Virginia Wright of Poole, Ky.; and a grandson, Casey Rickard.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home in Henderson, Jerry Horton officiating, with entombment in Sunset Memorial Park cemetery in Evansville.

Lucy Kutter
VINCENNES, Ind. — Lucy Catherine Messel Kutter, 93, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1999, at Crestview Convalescent Center.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, and the Knights of St. John.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy Kiger of Peachtree, Ga.; two sons, Ted and Dave, both of Vincennes; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. “Bud, ” in 1984 a daughter and a son.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary cemetery.

Besse Reel
VINCENNES, Ind. — Besse Fern Reel, 109, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999, at Crestview Nursing Home.
She retired as bookkeeper, from the Reel Blue Lumber Co. She was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Gardner & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Greenlawn cemetery.

Grace Hand
OTWELL, Ind. — Grace A. Hand, 86, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999, at the Amber Manor Nursing Home in Petersburg.
She was a 1932 graduate of Bicknell High School and a member of the Contenders of Faith Mission in Otwell.
Surviving are a daughter, Carolyn Myers of Petersburg; four grandchildren, Jeff, Kevin, John and Kip Myers; and five great-grandchildren.
Her husband, the Rev. John A. Hand, died in 1997.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Contenders of Faith Mission, with burial in Walnut Hills cemetery in Petersburg.

Ronald Uebelhor
FERDINAND, Ind. — Ronald R. Uebelhor, 67, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999, as the result of a heart attack at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Huntingburg.
He was semiretired from Styline, where he had worked for 40 years. He was a veteran of the National Guard, serving from 1949 to 1958, and a member of American Legion Post 124, and former member of the Ferdinand Jaycees and Park Board. He worked with the Little League for 12 years.
Surviving are his wife, Jo Ann; two daughters, Christy Ferguson of Huntingburg and Tara Uebelhor of Plainfield; three sons, Curtis and Tracey, both of Ferdinand, and Brad of Newburgh; a sister, Arlita Hedinger of Jasper; and five grandchildren, Ryan, Sara and Lori Uebelhor and Jared and Sabrina Ferguson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

David Mattingly
WASHINGTON, Ind. — David Clyde Mattingly, 53, died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, of liver disease at the Veterans Hospital in Danville, Ill.
He was a farmer and served on the Washington Police Department for 17 years. He was an Air Force veteran and member of the American Legion.
He graduated in 1965 from Washington High School and attended St. Mary Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra (Waltz); a son, Jason of Indianapolis; a daughter, Bryn Hawkins of Crawfordsville; a brother, Frank T. of Washington; a sister; Glenda Van Ermen of Prattville, Ala.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ed Lee Mortuary, with burial in St. John cemetery.

Stella Tolbert
Stella Mae (Harper) Tolbert, 74, of Evansville, mother of Evansville Courier & Press Metro Editor Charlene Tolbert, died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at Deaconess Hospital as a result of lung cancer.
She was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church, Eastern Star 555 and White Shrine.
She was a 1943 graduate of Bosse High School.
Also surviving are her husband of 53 years, Samuel Jr.; a sister, Thelma Ebinger of Evansville; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Revs. Ray Harper and Michael Thompson officiating, with burial in Oak Hill cemetery.
