NEVA A. LIGHT, 99, died Thursday at Towne House. Born in Noble County and formerly of Kendallville, she was a registered nurse, serving as LaGrange County public nurse from 1926 to 1936 and a Kendallville public school nurse for four years. Her first husband, Charles Howe, died in 1971; second husband, Carl, in 1991; and stepson, Paul Howe, in 1959. Surviving are two nephews, Robert J. Bushong of Black Mountain, N.C., and Lee Bushong of Fort Wayne; and a niece, Virginia Tesch of Black Mountain. Graveside services at 10 a.m. Monday at Lakeview cemetery Chapel, Kendallville. Memorials to Trinity United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Berhalter-Hutchins Funeral Home, Kendallville.

FRIEDA B. LONG, 92, died Thursday in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a sales clerk at Wolf & Dessauer from 1962 to 1969 and L.S. Ayres for seven years. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Edward B. Themann of Northridge, Calif.; and a stepson, Harry Long Jr. of Jackson, Mich. Her husband, Harry, died in 1961. Services at noon Tuesday at Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church, 10145 Maysville Road, with calling one hour before services. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Graveside services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Floral Grove cemetery, West Unity, Ohio.

DOROTHY AILENE MELTON, 88, of Nashville, died Wednesday at Brown County Health & Living Center. Born in Kentucky, she retired in 1975 from Hi-Grade Meat Packing Plant. Survivors include a stepson, Charles Melton of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barlow. Services at 11 a.m. today at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, Nashville.
Burial in Christiansburg cemetery, Brown County.

RICHARD A. MICHEL, 70, died Thursday at home. Born in Chicago, he retired this year as a purchasing agent from Maumee Industries and had formerly been a sales representative at Howard Graphic Arts. He was a Korean War Coast Guard veteran. Surviving are his wife, Joan M.; three daughters, Cheryl A. Chojnacki of Chicago and Linda J. Niccum and Kathy M. Muzzillo, both of Fort Wayne; a son, Jeffrey A. of Huntertown; and eight grandchildren. Services at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave., with calling one hour before services. Williams, all of Fort Wayne; two sons, William C. of Newport News, Va., and Paul B. of Fort Wayne; three sisters, Jessie Mae Metcalf of Petersburg, Tenn., and Rosa Nell Tucker and Lucille Price, both of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a companion, Bill Bradfield of Fort Wayne. Santiago, both of Fort Wayne; a son, Nelson F. of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. His son, Jerry L., died in 1982. Surviving are a son, Gordy of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Pam White of Bryan, Ohio; and three grandchildren. Her husband, Luther, died in 1987. Services at 10 a.m. Monday at D.O.
