Magnus Drake
CANNELTON - Magnus L. "Chig" Drake, 80, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2002, at his home.
He retired as a foreman.
Surviving are two daughters, Susie Thorn and Carol Richter; three sons, Harry, Dan and Mike; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. EST Thursday at Huber Funeral Home Tell City Chapel, with burial in Log Church Cemetery, with military rites.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Albert Fitzgerald
WASHINGTON - Albert Joseph Fitzgerald, 42, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, at Daviess Community Hospital of smoke inhalation and burns from a house fire.
He had worked for a glass company in Vincennes.
Surviving are three daughters, Jessica and Autumn Marie Fitzgerald and Andrea Rainwater; his mother, Mary Ray; four sisters, Nancy Reister, Joyce Cox, Mary Clause and Janice Trayweek; and three brothers, Norman E., Anthony Ray and John M.
Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Wednesday at Gill Funeral Home, burial in St. John's Cemetery, with military rites.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Geraldine Manning
OWENS-VILLE - Geraldine "Deanie" Manning, 66, died Sunday, January 27, 2002, at Gibson General Hospital.
She was born on February 21, 1935, in Gibson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Nellie (Mathew) Maddex.
She retired from Siemens Corp. and graduated from Griffin High School.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years, C.A. Manning; 4 sisters, Grace M. Johnson, Virginia L. Field, Jane E. Richardson and Joyce Mair, all of Owensville; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holder Funeral Home in Owensville. Burial will be in the Poseyville Cemetery, with Rev. Bob Douglas officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Owensville General Baptist Church.
Wilbur Parker
TELL CITY - Wil-bur C. "Wib" Parker, 71, died Sunday, January, 27, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. He was born in Tell City on September 6, 1930, the son of the late Wilbur T. Parker and Lucille (Kleeman) Parker.
He retired in 1986 from A&H Truck Lines, where he was a driver for 28 years. He was owner and operator of Parker Rug Cleaners since 1956, was a route deliveryman for the Sunday Courier & Press for 48 years and was a contract bus driver for the Tell City/Troy Township School System since 1987. He was a United States Army veteran, he served in the 101st Airborne Division and was a member of the paratroopers. He was a member of the 40 et 8 Voiture 952, American Legion Post 213 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2939. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene (Ramsey) Parker; eight daughters, Sheila Travis of Marion, Ohio, Donna Irey of Marion, Ohio, Pat Harpenau of Tell City, Jenny Parker of Tell City, Annette Conen of Evanston, Indiana, Barbara Nelson of Tell City, Teresa Clemens of Tell City and Stacy Hosler of Tell City; 3 sons, Steve Parker of Tell City, Mark Hildebrandt of Owensboro, Kentucky, and Brian Hildebrandt of Evansville; 2 sisters, Norma J. Hunt of Russellville, Kentucky, and Mary Lou Poehlein of Evanston; 3 brothers, Bill Parker of Loogootee, Indiana, Ron Parker of Tell City and John Parker of Tell City; 22 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bobby and Gary Parker, and his stepmother, Rita "Pete" Parker. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. EST Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, the Rev. Carl Deitchman will officiate, burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, with the American Legion and VFW conducting military graveside rites.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home Tell City Chapel. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Harriet Revis
VINCENNES - Harriet A. Revis, 84, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She had been a sales clerk.
Surviving are two sons, James and Robert Warren; five sisters, Verna Murphy, Dorthy Hunckler, Norma Jean Pea, Sharon Rogers and Betty Grahm; two brothers, Andrew and William Pea; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. EST today in Fairview Cemetery. There will be no visitation at Goodwin Family Funeral Home.
Ronald Williams
WASHINGTON - Ronald Aaron "Ronnie" Williams, 65, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002, at his home.
He was a farmer, coal miner and truck driver.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Ann; two daughters, Beth Dixon and Susan Durnil; two sons, Keith and Douglas; his mother, Lillian Williams; and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. EST Wednesday at Gill Funeral Home, with burial in New Veale Creek Cemetery.

Dorothy Wint
TELL CITY - Dorothy Wint, 80, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
She had been a waitress and retired from General Electric.
Surviving are three daughters, Jackie Cail, Carolyn Murphy and Pat Jellison; a half brother, Norman Herzog; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. EST Wednesday at Huber Funeral Home Tell City Chapel, burial pending.

Ralph Becker
Ralph H. Becker, 83, of Evansville, died Monday, January 28, 2002, at his residence.
Ralph was employed as a tool engineer by Servel Inc., Chrysler Corp., Whirlpool Corp. and Faultless Caster, retiring in 1985. He was a fifty-year member of both the Evansville Masonic Lodge 64 and the Scottish Rite. He was also a past monarch of the No Ruz Grotto. He was a 1935 graduate of Central High School. He especially enjoyed golf and workouts at the YMCA and was an avid sportsman. He was a member of and attended the First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Dorothy (Howington) of Evansville; a daughter, Beth Ann Mottley of Newburgh; a son, Robert M. of Evansville; 8 grandchildren, Bo, John, Todd and Katie Becker, Doug, David, Sarah and Daniel Mottley; a great-grandchild, Carson Becker; a sister, Ruth Finn of Grand Terrace, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Alexander East Chapel, the Reverend Kevin Fleming and Father John Davidson officiating, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Alexander East Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess/Ohio Valley Hospice Care, the YMCA or a favorite charity.
Helen Genter
Helen Margarette (Winkler) Genter, 87, of Bowling Green, Ky., formerly of Evansville, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green.
She had been an office worker.
Surviving is a daughter, Karen Genter of Bowling Green.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Park Lawn Cemetery

Vernon Ooley
Vernon Keith Ooley, 43, of Evansville, died Sunday, January 27, 2002, at his residence due to a cerebral hemorrhage.
Mr. Ooley was in the U.S. Navy for 6 years, serving on the USS Kennedy in the computer program division. He also worked for the Standard Register and Wright Motors.
He is survived by his mother, Daisy Deane Ooley of Terre Haute, Ind.; 4 sisters, Marcia and Stephen Page of Scottsdale, Ariz., Vernalee and Bob Mitchell of Cory, Ind., Susan Ooley-Viray and John Viray of Terre Haute, Ind., and Beth and Keith Carpenter of Cincinnati, Ohio; 1 brother, James and Karen Ray of Princeton, Ind.; an aunt, Frankie Hufnagle of Evansville; 3 nieces, Jordan Page, Vicki Hazel and Jacki Damm; 4 nephews, Rob, Michael and Justin Mitchell and Spencer Ooley-Viray.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon B. Ooley, in 1994.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. today, January 30, 2002, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel in Evansville, Indiana. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery
in Terre Haute, Ind.
Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. today at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, Ind.
