ALICE MAE WARREN, 85, died Wednesday at Rolling Meadows Health-care Center, LaFontaine. Born in Shirley, she retired in 1971 from Wabash Magnetics. Her husband, the Rev. Lawrence A. REV. D. CHARLES ELSON, 89, died Tuesday at home. Born in Bluffton, he was a pastor and served the Methodist Church in Walton-Onward, First Methodist Church in Fremont, First Methodist Church in North Manchester, Trinity Methodist Church in Fort Wayne, First Methodist Church in Washington, Ind., Trinity Methodist Church in New Albany, Main Street Methodist Church in Kokomo, Asbury Methodist Church in Portland, College Avenue Methodist Church in Muncie and First Methodist Church in Decatur. He began his career as a pastor of the Jollietville Four point circuit. He retired in 1979 and then served the Deerfield Methodist Church from 1982 to 1984. Surviving are his wife, Betty Jane; three sons, John of Indianapolis, David of Litchfield, Ill., and Bob of Gas City; a daughter, Nancy Clase of Edwardsburg, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
