Penney Co. in Huntington for five years and was past matron of Order of Eastern Star Floral Chapter 75. Her husband, Harold, died in 1985. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Lenwell of Pierceton and Cynthia Thompson of Knoxville, Tenn.; two brothers, Willard Garretson and Paul Garretson, both of Huntington; two sisters, Patty Herrick of Roanoke and Marjorie Cole of Columbus, Ohio; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He held local, district and national offices of Gideon's International and of the Nazarene Churches.
