G. EILEEN DAVIS CARTWRIGHT, 85, died Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Mellott, she worked at Dupont in Newport for more than 10 years, Hoosier Crown in Crawfordsville, was deputy assessor in Van Buren Township in Fountain County for several years and owned and operated a restaurant in Veedersburg. Her husband, Kelso M., died in 1989. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Janet Winkler of Tilton, Ill.; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Ballah of Veedersburg; and two sisters, Delores Mitchell of Veedersburg and Gwen Freas of Crawfordsville. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Rose Busenbark. Services at 2 p.m. Sunday at Veedersburg United Methodist Church, with calling two hours before services. He was a World War II Army Military Police veteran. Surviving are his wife, Lennis; a daughter, Carrol Sue Hawkins of Warsaw; three sons, M.E. "Skip" of Elmore City, Okla., Dexter L. of Mentone and Doug L. of Warsaw; two brothers, Leon of Tacoma, Wash., and Virgil of Warsaw; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
