Barbara Jean Curry-Burns, 68, Kokomo, passed away at 5:34PM Monday, March 2, 2009 in Howard Regional Health Systems. She was born July 20, 1940 in Kentucky to the late William F. and Blanche F. (Edlin) Curry. Her companion of 15 years, Curtiss M. Marcum, passed away May 4, 2005. She was owner and operator of the FeedMill Cafe, Wawpecong, and Barb's corner Kitchen in Miami County. She loved bingo and gambling, and graduated from Kokomo High School.Surviving are her 2 sons, George Burns Jr. and wife, Debra, Tipton, and William Burns, Kokomo, step son, Mike (Valery) Marcum, Kokomo, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. 2 sisters, Phyllis Curry, Kokomo, and Vickie Long and husband, Tony, Greentown. She was precdeded in death by her parents and her companion.
Ralph E. Jackson

Services: Services are noon Friday March 6, 2009 in Jesus Apostolic Faith Church, 408 E. Jackson St., Galveston, with Pastor William Price Jr. officiating. Burial is in North Union Cemetery.
Visitation: Friends may call from 11 AM until the time of the service Friday in the church.
Ralph E. Jackson, 66, Kokomo, died at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, March 3,
2009, in his home. He was born Sept. 24, 1942, in Kokomo, to Frank E. and Frances (Rayls) Jackson He married Carolyn S.(Boruff) Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn S. Jackson, Kokomo; four sons, Johnny R. Jackson, James Jackson, Tony Hunter, Ralph Jackson Jr.; two daughters, Wanda Butler, Teresa Mossholder; five brothers, Charlie Jackson, Virginia, Leroy Jackson, Tennessee, Jimmy L. Jackson, Kokomo, Kenny Jackson, Galveston, Ray Jackson, Kokomo; three sisters, Lilliemae Fugate, Tenn., Joanna Chorrushi, Kokomo, and Mary Pebley, Galveston. He was the proud papa of 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Sherman H. Jackson and Alvie Jackson; and a sister, Carolyn Sue Jackson.

She was born Jan. 18, 1948 in Kokomo, Indiana. She was the daughter of Lena Myrtle (Shinn) and Delta Everett Holloway.
Evelyn was currently employed at Delphi Electronics where she worked for over 28 years. During that time, she worked in various positions including the assembly line. She also was a member of the UAW 292 in Kokomo.
Evelyn had many hobbies, including crocheting, painting, crafts, and planting flowers.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda and Loretta Barnett both of Kokomo, IN; two sons, Richard Barnett of Logansport, IN; Thomas (Anna) Barnett of Marion, IN; six grandchildren, Ashley Nichole Barnett, Roberta Breanne Barnett, Richard Alian Wayne Barnett all of Logansport; Sharlaina Barnett, Chelsea Barnett, and Justin T. Barnett all of Kokomo; one sister, Cornellia (Jerry) Gordon of Kokomo, IN; and one brother, Danny Joe Holloway of Munster, IN; a dear friend, Kenny Huff of Elwood, IN. Also surviving are three step grandchildren, eleven step great grandchildren and nineteen nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and three brothers.
Evelyn's funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday March 9, 2009 in Ellers Mortuary, 725 S. Main St. Burial will follow at Crown Point Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2PM-6PM Sunday at the mortuary.
Homer C. Harrison Jr.

Homer C. Harrison Jr., 91, of Kokomo, died at 11:00 PM Thursday March 5, 2009 at Howard Regional Health System.
He was born July 31, 1917 Agua Caliente, California. Homer was the son of Elsie M. (Richards) and Homer C. Harrison Sr.
On Feb. 28, 1938 in State Center, Iowa, he married Marion F. (Wilkening) Harrison. She died in Kokomo on Nov. 14, 1994.
On May 25, 1999 in Gatlinburg, Tenn. he married Sue T. Mix-Harrison and she survives in Kokomo, Indiana.
In March of 1932 Homer left school to help his father on the dairy farm near Marshalltown, Iowa. After he and Marion married in 1938 he spent the next three to four years farming at several locations on the east and west sides of Marshalltown. He worked for several local contractors and home builders from 1941 to 1947 as a laborer and carpenter. During this period he spent one year in 1945 serving in the U.S. Army and going through basic training at Camp Walters, Texas (near Fort Worth). In 1947, while he was a journeyman carpenter with Con Jackobson, he built his first house on South First Street, near High Street. From there he was hooked in the home construction and development business. During the next 38 years, 1947 to 1985, Harrison Homes built over 2,000 homes and developed nine subdivisions in Marshalltown. Homer was proud that he taught classes at the junior college level , having only completed his eighth grade education. Later in their career, between 1971 and 1989, he and Marion ran an antique dealership, Granny's Antiques, on highway 30, near South Twelve Street. Homer and Marion decided to leave their friends and relatives and move to Kokomo, Indiana, in May, 1993 to be closer to some of their children and grandchildren.
His memberships include Grace United Methodist Church, the Kokomo Country Club and he was a member of the Kiwanis Golden K. He had been a 50 year member of Kiwanis
While he lived in Iowa his memberships included Trinity Lutheran Church, the Kiwanis Club, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, VFW, American Legion, Junior Chamber of Commerce, and the National Home Builders Association where he had been the former president.
Survivors include his wife, Sue T. Mix-Harrison of Kokomo; one daughter and a son-ln-law, Sharon K. and Jonathan Ellers of Kokomo; two sons and two daughter-in-laws, Richard A. and Karen Harrison of Kokomo; Dennis D. and Gloria Jean Harrison of Bonaire, Georgia; eleven grandchildren and their spouses, Steven B. and Tomasa Butler of Kokomo; Linda S. and Steven Neubauer of Naperville, Illinois; Melanie L. and Brian Elo of Mooresville, Indiana; Rhonda and Terry O'Grady of Toronto, Canada; David W. and Kristina Ellers of Ocala, Florida; Michelle D. and Jeffery Inkrott of Fishers, Indiana; Barbra J. and Scott Kozisek of Dudleytown, Indiana; Suzanne M. and Kenneth Biddle of Kokomo, Indiana; Christina A. and John Taunton of Atlanta, Georgia; Bryan H. and Elizabeth Harrison of Dallas, Texas; Susan and Preston McCallum of Lizela, Georgia. Also surviving is a sister, Wilda 'Billie' Sorensen of Marshalltown, Iowa; a brother and a sister-in-law, Edmund 'Wink' and Dorothy Harrison of Marshalltown, Iowa; twenty- four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Homer is preceded in death by his first wife, Marion; parents, nine sisters, a grand-daughter, Laura Butler; a grandson, Ronnie Bradford; a great grandson, Benjamin Elo; and a son-in-law, Captain Earl Bruce Butler.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM Monday March 9, 2009 at Grace United Methodist Church 219 W. Mulberry St. Kokomo. Officiating will be Pastor Stephen Beutler. military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW military Rites Teams at Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 AM until 2 PM on Monday.
Memorial contribution may be made in memory of Homer to Grace United Methodist Church.

Adin F. Snyder

Adin Francis Snyder, 80, of Kokomo, passed away at 1:42 AM Saturday at his residence.
He was born Jan. 2, 1929 in Kansas, Illinois. Adin was the son of Esther (Block) and Clarence Snyder.
He was married to Edith M. (Welsh) Snyder on August 30, 1947 in Urbana, Illinois and she survives.
Adin was a WWII Navy Veteran and served on the USS Panamint during the Bikini Atoll. After being discharged from the service he was married and moved to Kokomo. Later he went to work for the Kokomo Sanitary Pottery, and retired from supervision after 35 years. Adin then worked for C.F. Trucking for 9 years, and Enterprise Rental Cars for 7 years.
His memberships include the VFW Post 1152, Kokomo; Eagles Lodge #255 Kokomo, the American Legion Post #6 and the National Association of Atomic Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Edith M. Snyder; two daughters and a son-in-law, Judith McBee of Beech Grove, Indiana; Joyce and Roger Gibson of Flora, Indiana; three grandsons and their spouses, Chad and Amiee Gibson of Delphi; Michael and Terrie McBee of Ottiwa, Illinois; Patrick and Julie McBee of Indianapolis; one grand-daughter and her companion, Kristie White and Andy Lewis both of Delphi. Adin's great grandchildren are Keifer, Trey, Elizabeth, Kylie, Kayleigh, and Arika.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, and his son-in-law, Dale E. McBee.
Adin's funeral will be held at 1PM Tuesday at Ellers Mortuary, 3400 S. Webster St. with his brother-in-law, Pastor Larry Welsh officiating. military rites will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. The military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Navy and the Kokomo VFW military Rites Teams. Visitation will be held from 4-8 Monday at the mortuary.
Rosemary Bugher

Rosemary Buger, 91, Kokomo, died Thursday, March 5, 2009, in Brookside Haven Care Center Muncie. She was born Tuesday, Aug. 20, 1917, in Kokomo, the parents of the late Joseph Lazaro the late Josephine Danna.
Surviving are a son, Bob and wife, Janie Bugher, Russiaville; daughter, Judy Cherry, Grand Haven, Mich., grandchildren, Mickey Cherry, Grand Haven, Mich., Jack Cherry, Spring Lake, Mich., Rob Bugher. Russiaville, Greg Bugher, Russiaville, and Brad Bugher, Russiaville.
Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Dominic, Toney and Thomas Lazaro.
William Johnston

William Johnston, 55, Kokomo, died Friday, March 6, 2009, at his residence. He was born Tuesday, Aug. 4, 1953, Kokomo, to the late Thomas Johnston the late Betty (Weidner) Johnston.
William was a memeber of the Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, watching his grandkids at their games and spending time the Handle Bar.
Survivors are a son, Joe Johnston, Kokomo; daughter, Wendi Johnston, Kokomo; grandchildren, Haley Johnston, Greentown, Cree Johnston, Greentown, Kiley Johnston, Greentown, Chris Acord, Kokomo, Jordan Beard, Kokomo; brothers, Mike and wife, Faye Johnston, Paul and wife, Marsha Johnston, Jeff and wife, Shirley Johnston, Steve Johnston; sisters, Judy Henry, Margaret and husband, Sonny Mundy, Susan Oltman and Mary and husband, Frank Abney.
William is preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and three sisters, Kathleen Steward, Helen Lock, and Nancy Johnston.
Ronald R. Fogle

Services: Graveside services will be at Sunset Memory Gardens at 2pm on Friday, March 13, 2009, with Pastor Steve Cole officiating. He will have full military honors from the Air Force and the Kokomo military honors team.
Visitation: Will be Thursday, March 12, 2009 from 4-8pm at Ellers Mortuary Main St. Chapel 725 S. Main St.
Ronald R. Fogle Sr. 76, of Kokomo, passed away at 5:00am, Monday, March 9, 2009 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born June 13, 1932 in Mt. Vernon, OH to Ralph O. and Dorothy M. (Bishop) Fogle. His marriage to Mazie (Waldman) Fogle was May 31, 2000, in Kokomo, IN.
Mr. Fogle was an avid I.U., Colts, and Cubs fan. He loved gardening, camping, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He was in the Navy for four years serving in the
Korean War, and was in the Air Force for eleven years. Mr. Fogle then went to work at Stellite, now known as Haynes International, Young Beer Distribution, Kokomo Center Schools, Western School Corporation, and Wiese Inc. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 1152 and served as Senior vice-commander.
Survivors include his wife, Mazie, and also his previous wife Frances Fogle, a son Sam Fogle, wife Melanie of Kokomo, two daughters, Dorothy Mae Fogle, and Misty Kay Whittaker husband Michael; nine grandchildren, Nick, Nichole, Justin, and Kayla Fogle, Kasey Burnette, Jacob Cox, Joshua, Thomas, and Alizabeth Whittaker; a step-daughter Colleen Farmer and husband Earl, step-grandchildren; Stacy Brown, Matthew Farmer, step-daughter; Tamara Street, and step-grandchildren Amanda Inman, Sandy Meeks, Corina Street, step-granddaughter Marla Churchill, and two step-great-grandchildren Marrisa, and Benjamin Churchill, a brother Larry Gene Fogle of Mt. Vernon, OH, four sisters; Rosa Lavone Auskings and Janice Laverne Todd both of Mt. Vernon, OH, Shirley Ann Clutter of Buleverd, TX, and Nova Jean Raymond of St. Louis, MO.
He was preceded in death a brother Ralph O. Fogle.
There will be a Graveside service at 2:00pm on Friday, March 13, 2009 at Sunset Memory Gardens, with Pastor Steve Cole officiating. There will also be full military rites from the U.S. Air Force and the Kokomo military rites team. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Ellers Mortuary Main St. Chapel, 725 S. Main St. Kokomo, IN.
