EDWIN GAYLE DITTON, 89, of Lebanon, died Wednesday at Witham Memorial Hospital, Lebanon. Born in Mitchell, he worked at Chrysler Corp. in New Castle for eight years, at Curtis-Wright Aircraft in Indianapolis and was a journeyman brick mason for various contractors in Indianapolis, Arizona and Texas. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Louise. Survivors include a daughter, Jan Dustman of Fort Wayne; and a half sister, Martha Jones of Warsaw.

RICHARD O. LAWRENCE, 81, died Wednesday at home. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a clerk, mechanic and supervisor of procurement with the U.S. Postal Service for 18 1/2 years, retiring in 1985. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He was past president and past vice president of Adams Lake Conservation Club. Surviving are his wife, Iris H.
