She was born April 17, 1928, in Rosedale to Harold Rosser and Harriet Rosser. Survivors include two sons, Jack A. Riggs and Gary Riggs; one brother, James Rosser; one sister, Mary Davis; and one granddaughter. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday in French Funeral Home in Brazil, with the Rev. Stephen Rasmussen officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park in North Terre Haute. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. today and before services Thursday.
Muriel F. Barnhart
Muriel F. Barnhart, 80, of West Terre Haute died at 1:05 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002, in Royal Oaks Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. She was born Nov. 17, 1921, to Richard Bailey and Vivian Ramsey Bailey. Survivors include her husband, Lorenzo Barnhart; one son, Phillip W. Barnhart; one sister, Delores Hunter; one brother, Richard W. Bailey; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services are 11 a.m. Monday in Fitzpatrick-Pearce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sandy Clark officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with Order of Eastern Star memorial service at 7 p.m., and 7 a.m. until services Monday.

Mary Alice Parsons, 75, of West Terre Haute died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002, in her daughter's residence in Marshall, Ill. She was born Nov. 28, 1926, in Danville, Ill., to Porter Jones and Violet Chester Jones. Her husband, Charles Parsons, died in 1967. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Coffman and Barbara Jones; three stepbrothers, Richard Keyes, Paul Dudley and George Dudley; one sister, Dorothy Roth; two stepsisters, Edna Mae Sharp and Karen Mickler; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in Mattox-Bedino Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jack Barnard officiating. Burial is in Bethesda cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Cornelius Neil Roberts Sr.
Cornelius Neil Roberts Sr., 46, of Terre Haute died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2002, in Union Hospital. He was born March 4, 1956, in Terre Haute to Charles Roberts and Mary Kelly Roberts. Survivors include one son, Cornelius Neil Roberts Jr.; two stepdaughters, Tisha Rogers and Alana Robbs; his mother; four brothers, Charles Roberts, Douglas Roberts, Thomas Roberts and Michael Ray Roberts; and two sisters, Estella Smith and Charlene Roberts. Services are 1 p.m. Saturday in Russell Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Mark Blade Sr. officiating. Burial is in Stewart Lawn cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. until services Saturday.
Nellie R. Wade
Nellie R. Wade, 88, of Terre Haute died at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2002, in Meadows Manor North Retirement & Convalescent Center. She was retired from the Freeman-Greene Hospital in Linton after 20 years of service as a nursing aid. She was born April 30, 1913, in Daviess County to Stanton Toon and Alma Jane Ledgerwood Toon. Her husband, Charles Wade, died Dec. 29, 1989. Survivors include one son, Max E. Wade and his wife, Kathy of Bloomingdale; two daughters, Donna R. Williams and her husband, Steve of Rockville and Sharon W. Petty of Terre Haute; four grandchildren, Tim Wade, Tina McNeill, Kim Roberts and Doug Williams; four great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by one brother, Vernon Toon; and one sister, Marie Edmondson. She was a member of Linton First Baptist Church. Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday in DeBaun Idaho Street Chapel, with Earl McClelland officiating. Burial is in Memory Gardens in Rockville. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today. Belvia C. Wagle, 79, of Terre Haute died at 8 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002, in Union Hospital. She was born Nov. 30, 1923, in Vigo County to Jesse Blaine Wagle and Elizabeth Sourwine Wagle. Survivors include one son, Ralph Wagle; one daughter, Linda Lazzell; one sister, Mabel Haynes; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Deloras Irene Hauger
FARMERSBURG - Deloras Irene Hauger, 93, of Farmersburg, and formerly of Shelburn died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002, in Sullivan County Community Hospital. She was born Dec. 29, 1908, in Farmersburg to Roscoe Kenneth Johnson and Fannie Rebecca Drake. Her husband, Ossa Otto Hauger, died in 1987. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Baughman and Charlotte Black; one brother, Denver Johnson; one sister, Joyce Beard; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services are 2 p.m. Monday in Mattox-McHugh Shelburn Chapel, with the Rev. Russell Black officiating. Burial is in Prairie Creek West Lawn cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. until services Monday.
Adah Faith Roeschlein
BRAZIL - Adah Faith Roeschlein, 89, of Brazil died at 11:17 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2002, in St. Vincent Clay Hospital. She was born March 8, 1913, in Clay County to Charles W. Burger and Margaret Ellen Shuler Burger. Her husband, Walter Roeschlein, whom she married
March 3, 1934, died earlier. Survivors include two sons, Dale Roeschlein and his wife, Betty of Indianapolis and Eldon Roeschlein and his wife, Carolyn of Brazil; two daughters, Rosalie Collins and her husband, Casey and Barbara Wiram, all of Cory; 10 grandchildren, Bruce Roeschlein of Wake Forest, N.C., Debra Roeschlein of Clayton, N.C., Mark Roeschlein, Jeff Collins and Jodie Travis, all of Brazil, Jay Roeschlein of Terre Haute, Darin Roeschlein of Center Point, Shawn Wiram of Greencastle, Shane Wiram of Cory and Shannon Fritz of Spencer; eight great-grandchildren; and a large extended family. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Laura Westfall; and one brother, Hubert Burger. She was a graduate of Cory High School, and was an active member of Mount Calvary United Methodist Church, a member of the Van Cleve Home Economics Club, and United Methodist Women, and served as delegate to the United Methodist Conference. She was a former Sunday school teacher and a Clay City Food Pantry volunteer. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. Services are 11 a.m. Monday in French Funeral Home, with the Rev. Max Brunton officiating. Burial is in Mount Calvary cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Ruth Lorene Streeter
CORY - Ruth Lorene Streeter, 79, of Cory died at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2002, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born Dec. 30, 1922, in Saline City to Hervey Jeffers and Emma Fogel Jeffers. Survivors include her husband, John; two daughters, Jane Lewis and her husband, David and Janice Myers, all of Cory; one son, James Streeter and his wife, Jewell of Vincennes; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather who raised her, Leo C. Kester; and one great-granddaughter, Jaclynn Scott. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday in Mattox-Fox Funeral Home in Riley, with the Rev. Jeff Lee officiating. Burial is in Oak Hill cemetery in Riley. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today.
Patricia Howard Tingle
FARMERSBURG - Patricia Howard Tingle, 73, of Farmersburg and formerly of Indianapolis died March 23, 2002, in University Hospital in Indianapolis. She was retired from Indiana Bell. She was born May 20, 1928, in Mishawaka to David Howard and Lena Fidler Howard. Her husband, Kenneth Tingle, died in 1973. Survivors include two sons, Mark Tingle of Farmersburg and Fred Tingle of Indianapolis; one daughter, Tammy Tingle of Indianapolis; four granddaughters, Shyanne Tingle, Cincy Linhart, Sherry Voorhees and Debi Murray; five great-granddaughters; and three great-great-grandsons. Graveside services are 1 p.m. Saturday in Farmersburg Westlawn cemetery, with Mitch Hoesman officiating. There is no visitation. DeBaun Funeral Homes assisted with arrangements. Mary Kathryn Crump
Mary Kathryn Crump, 94, of Terre Haute died at 11:40 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2002, in Harborside Healthcare. She and her husband had operated a motel in Whitesboro, Texas. She was born Sept. 17, 1907, in Indiana to Alonzo Baker and Alice Luvena Lidster Baker. Her husband, Raymond R. Crump, died in 1989. Survivors include one brother, Lavone Baker; three sisters, Ada Cruse, Geneva Jannelli and Norma Sullivan; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond Baker, Richard Baker, Ruben Baker and Carl Baker; and five sisters, Helen Hedley, Edith Baker, Dorothy Greenmore, Lorene Engle and Louise Coffman. Services are pending at Huff Funeral Home, 409 W. Main St., Whitesboro. Burial is in Oak Wood cemetery in Whitesboro. DeBaun Funeral Homes assisted locally.

Patricia June Drake, 77, of Terre Haute died at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2002, in Union Hospital. She was born June 9, 1925, in Sullivan County to Paul Drake and Dorothy Douglas Drake. Survivors include several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with the Rev. David Deal officiating. Rilus B. "Gea" Fields, 73, of Terre Haute died at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2002, in Harborside Healthcare. He was a retired auto mechanic for Sycamore Chevy. He was born Dec. 15, 1928, in Vigo County to Otto Fields and Emma Steward Fields. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Hofmann Fields, whom he married
Sept. 24, 1950; two daughters, Sharon Fields and Linda Brown; two sisters, Helen Fields and Kathern Maxwell; five grandchildren, Dameon Gifford, Joannie Basham, Jennifer Day, Dustin Petrosky and Mindy Brown; and nine great-grandchildren. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with the Rev. Simeon Young Jr. officiating. Burial is in Durham cemetery. James D. Hyde
James D. Hyde, 70, of Terre Haute died Wednesday, June 26, 2002, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was a machinery repair superintendent for Midland Glass and Liberty Glass. He was born Nov. 5, 1931, in Terre Haute to Marion Hyde and Katie Barker Hyde. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie L. Hyde; two daughters, Sandra L. Brandt and Janet Naliborski; five sons, Rick Hyde, Mike Hyde, Dennis Hyde, Jeff Hyde and Johnnie Hyde; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Donald Hyde; one grandson, Jimmy Hyde; two brothers, Wayne Hyde and Lawrence E. Hyde; and one sister, Rosemary Smith. Benjamin F. Nicholas
Benjamin F. Nicholas, 84, of Terre Haute died at 4:35 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2002, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was a retired manager for Meis Clothing Store. He was born April 7, 1918, in Streator, Ill., to Nick Nicholas and Mary Sofia Nicholas. His wife, Florence Courey Nicholas, died in 1992. Survivors include one son, Rob Nicholas and his wife, Linda of Chapel Hill, N.C.; two daughters, Suzanne McSpadden and her husband, David and Peg Bradshaw and her husband, Terry of Highland Mills, N.Y.; one brother, Phillip Nicholas of Streator; one sister, Nikki Perryman of Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren, Luke and Paul Nicholas, Nicole and Nicholas McSpadden, Steven Zavagli and Jennifer and Matt Bradshaw; and several nieces and nephews. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge 86 and Hellcats. Mass of Christian Burial is 12:05 p.m. Saturday in St. Benedict's, with the Rev. Joel Burget officiating. Burial is in Calvary cemetery.
