CARLISLE - Viles M. "MeMe' Brewer, 87, of Carlisle died at 8:42 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, in Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born Dec. 2, 1913, in Sullivan County to Enoch Howard Sexton and Mary Elva Price Sexton. Her husband, Foster Brewer, died in 1985. Survivors include six sons, Bernard Brewer, Wilson Brewer, Derwood Brewer, Rex Brewer, Howard Brewer and Nelson Brewer; one daughter, Yvone Tulowisky; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger, with the Rev. John Booker officiating. Burial is in Mount Moriah cemetery, near Dugger. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Glen Dale Dicus
JASONVILLE - Glen Dale Dicus, 78, of Camby and formerly of Jasonville, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, in Indianapolis. He was born Jan. 7, 1923, in Jasonville to Verlin Francis Dicus and Ruby Josephine Fulk Dicus. Survivors include his wife, Joan Holaday Dicus; two daughters, Carol S. Seavall and Barbara C. Kurczodyna; two sons, Robert Dale Dicus and Gary W. Dicus; one brother, Charles Dicus; and several grandchildren. Services are 11 a.m. Friday in Flanner & Buchanan Decatur Township Mortuary in Indianapolis, with the Rev. Sean Olson officiating. Burial is in Maple Grove cemetery in Clay City. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today.

JASONVILLE - Pauline L. Frank, 81, of Jasonville and formerly of Hymera died at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, in Shakamak Good Samaritan Health Care. She was born Aug. 27, 1920, in Seelyville to Charles William Jones and Allie Florence Woolf Jones. Survivors include her husband, George Frank; two sons, Dale L. Goddard and George L. Bose; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services are 1 p.m. Friday in Mattox-McHugh Hymera Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Bose officiating. Burial is in K of P cemetery. WORTHINGTON - Olive Jean Green, 80, of Worthington died at 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, in her residence. She was born July 21, 1921, in Greene County to Orlando McCoy and Omadell McClellan McCoy. Her husband, Bob Green, died June 8, 1981. Survivors include two sons, Dr. Joseph B. Greene and Robert Gene Green; two brothers, Charles McCoy and James P. McCoy; and three grandchildren. Services are 1 p.m. Friday in Welch & Cornett Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mel Camp officiating. Burial is in Worthington cemetery. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Friday.

SULLIVAN - Louise Hazel Martin, 86, of Sullivan died at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, in Rathbone Retirement Home in Evansville. She was born April 10, 1915, in Burnett to Grover Payne and Emma Frances Randall Davidson. Survivors include two sons, Terry Martin and Lowell Martin; one daughter, Sherri Martin; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services are 1 p.m. Friday in Alexander-Kean Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rex Jones officiating. Burial is in Mount Tabor cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday.
Bessie M. Brown
Bessie M. Brown, 80, of Terre Haute died at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2002, in Southwood Health Care Center of natural causes. She was born Nov. 5, 1921, in Terre Haute. Her husband, Robert M. Brown, died in November 1990. Survivors include one daughter, Helen L. Russell; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services are 1 p.m. Friday in Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Seaward officiating. Private burial is in Grandview cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the church. Dunn Family Mortuary assisted with arrangements.
Harry C. Schwartz
Harry C. Schwartz, 90, of Terre Haute died at 6:50 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2002, in Union Hospital. He was born July 16, 1911, in Kansas, Ill., to Charles W. Schwartz and Emma McDanial Schwartz. His wife, Ruth Martin Schwartz, died Jan. 23, 1998. Survivors include one son, Hugh Schwartz and his wife Barbara of Terre Haute; one sister, Doris Kuykendall of Terre Haute; two grandchildren, Amy McGill and her husband Jack of Terre Haute and Tony Schwartz, serving in the U.S. Navy in the Persian Gulf; two great-grandchildren, Anthony McGill and Ansley McGill, both of Terre Haute; one nephew, John Kuykendall and his wife Connie of Terre Haute; one niece, Julie Rowe of Terre Haute; and three great-nieces, Heidi Charters, Gretchen Engle and Heather Rowe. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, and he enjoyed making picture frames. Services are 1 p.m. Thursday in Callahan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Phyllis Peters officiating. Burial is in Highland Lawn cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. until services Thursday.

LINTON - Leon P. Carpenter, 80, of Unionville and formerly of Linton died at 5:25 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2002, in Bloomington Hospital. He was born Oct. 2, 1921, in Grey, Okla., to Perry Carpenter and Nettie Eaton Carpenter. His wife, Patsy R. Reintjes Carpenter, died Dec. 23, 1994. Survivors include two daughters, Libby Dayhoff and Toma Montgomery; one stepson, Jack McFarland; one brother, Paul Carpenter; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday in Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel, with the Revs. Sam Hill and Jim Moore officiating. Burial is in Fairview cemetery in Linton; Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today.
Rex H. 'Nook' Johnson
HYMERA - Rex H. "Nook" Johnson, 62, of Hymera died at 9:52 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2002, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He worked at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility in Carlisle. He was born Nov. 3, 1939, in Linton to Bishop Henry Johnson and Elnora Gertrude Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Walters Johnson; two sons, Jerry Johnson of Michigan and Kenny Johnson of Terre Haute; two stepsons, Cory Pearison and Lance Pearison, both of Sullivan; one daughter, Lesia Johnson of Oaktown; one brother, Jim Johnson of Linton; one sister, Sally Corbin of Mooresville; one aunt, Juanita Hill of Hymera; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by three brothers; and two sisters. Services are 1 p.m. Thursday in Alexander-Kean Funeral Home in Sullivan, with the Rev. David Simpson officiating. Chris Benefiel is the organist. Burial is in Claiborne cemetery. Pallbearers are Ryan Johnson, Richard Paitson, Rick Paitson, Jay Johnson, Jason Johnson and Jeff Skinner. Bobby Allan Moore
ROSEDALE - Bobby Allan Moore, 45, of Rosedale died at 7:50 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2002, while vacationing in Orlando, Fla. He was an electrician with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 725. He was born March 25, 1957, in Granite City, Ill., to Bobby Joe Moore and Geneva George Moore. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Moore; one daughter, Brooke May of Rosedale; one grandson, Zachary Allan Neal; his father, Bobby Joe Moore of Brazil; his mother and stepfather, Geneva and Charles Doughty of Carbon; one sister, Vanessa Kay Moore and her life partner Vickie of Carbon; paternal grandmother, Irene Blackwell of Brazil; parents-in-law, Bill and Luann Oeding of Terre Haute; seven brothers-in-law; nine sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gregory Moore, in 1978; and his maternal grandparents. Memorial services are 4 p.m. Saturday in his home, with casual dress. Cremation has taken place. His cremains will be buried at a later date in Summit Lawn cemetery in Brazil. Dove Funeral Home and Crematory in Orlando assisted with arrangements.

SULLIVAN - Dianna Lynn Riley, 49, of Sullivan died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2002, in Millers Merry Manor. She was born Oct. 28, 1952, in Sullivan to John Simmons and Wilma Greathes Simmons. Survivors include her husband, Steve Riley; her parents; four sons, Jason Riley, Joshua Riley, Jordan Riley and Nathaniel Riley; two daughters, Andrea Riley and Deborah Riley; one sister, Pam Jennings; one granddaughter; two step granddaughters; and other relatives. Services are 11 a.m. Friday in Holmes Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Glenn Archer officiating. Burial is in Center Ridge cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Joan M. Tonetti
ROSEDALE - Joan M. Tonetti, 90, of Rosedale and a lifelong resident of the Clinton area, died at 8:25 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2002, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born June 9, 1912, in Clinton to Sante Forte and Louisa Antonini Forte. Her husband, John Tonetti, died in 1998. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, John S. and Janet M. Tonetti of Lake Wylie, S.C.; one sister, Vera Forte Yeager of Clinton; grandchildren, John and Jacqueline Tonetti of Las Vegas, Mary Catherine Tonetti of Caledon, Ontario, Canada, David Tonetti of Seoul, South Korea, Richard A. and Kimberlee Tonetti of Philadelphia, Thomas and Wendy Tonetti and James Tonetti, all of Charlotte, N.C.; and eight great-grandchildren, Emma C. and Michael John Tonetti, Evan and Collin Brown, Lauren, Nicholas and Olivia Tonetti, and Samuel Tonetti. She also was preceded in death by one son, Dr. Raymond B. Tonetti; four sisters, Mary Rigoni, Edith Grimes, Santina Canalia and Esther Sasso; and one brother, John Forte. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clinton, Frances Vigo Italian American Club, and Spring Creek Homemakers Club. Prayer service is 10:45 a.m. Thursday in Karanovich Chapel, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday in the church, with the Rev. Joseph Villa officiating. Entombment is in Roselawn Chapel of Memories in North Terre Haute. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today, with rosary service at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart School Scholarship Fund.
