RAYMOND GROSS
Raymond L. Gross, 87, of 16343 9th Road, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away Friday, December 21, 2007, at 6:15 p.m. at Miller's Merry Manor, Plymouth.
Raymond was born on April 26, 1920, in Marshall County, Indiana, to Thomas and Bertha (Eckert) Gross. Ray married
Marjorie Bower on April 26, 1945, at Saint Michael Catholic Church, Plymouth. They were married
by the Rev. Father L.A. Eberle.
Raymond took over the family farm, from his parents, and it was known as Gross Dairy Farm. He stayed in the farming business until the time of his retirement. Ray and Marjorie spent their winters in Avon Park, Florida for several years. Ray was also a substitute bus driver for the Plymouth Community School system.
Raymond was a member of Saint Michael Catholic Church, of Plymouth, and had been a member of the Marshall County Co-op for 47 years. He served on the board several times.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Marjorie; two sons, Robert Gross of Plymouth and Donald and Connie Gross of Plymouth; and his grandson, Matthew and Meghan Gross of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Gross, who passed away at the age of three.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 27, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, in Plymouth, with the Rev. Father William Kummer officiating. Burial will be in New Oak Hill cemetery, Plymouth.

John W. Lowry, Sr., 69, of 700 Berkley Street, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away Friday, December 14, 2007, at 6:50 a.m., at the home of his daughter, in Warsaw, Indiana.
John was born on June 9, 1938 in Bourbon, Indiana, to Edward and Marie (Hart) Lowry.
John worked at Fairmont Homes as a lead man.
John is survived by his daughters, Rae Ann and Stephen Harris, Lisa and Pat Roark, and Rejeana and Dan Dunning; his sons, John, Jr. and Shanna Lowry, Tim and Sherry Lowry, Jerry and Tonya Lowry, Terry Lowry, Carl Lowry, and Bobby Lowry; his sisters, Mary and Raymond McGriff, Jody and Joe Friend, and Patty Brugh; his brother, Carl and Linda Lowry; 23 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Harold, Richard, Gene, and Paul; his sister, Rose Ellen; and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at 1:00 p.m., at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, in Plymouth, with the Rev. Robert Rice officiating. Burial will be in New Oak Hill cemetery, Plymouth.
A time of visiting, with the family, will be on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana, 46563.

John J. Crum, age 75, of 20807 West 12th Road, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at his home.
John was born on May 5, 1932, in Plymouth, Indiana, to Robert and Blanche (Yost) Crum. He was a retired welder and a resident of the Marshall County area all of his life.
John is survived by his wife of 35 years, Eleanor I. of Plymouth; his son, John Lydeen of South Bend, Indiana; his daughter, Robin McNeeley of Michigan City, Indiana; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his brother, Robert Crum. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Penny Crum.
The Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana, 46563, is handling the arrangements. There will be no visitation or services at this time. Burial will take place at a later date.
James Dale Pritsch

James Dale Pritsch, 80, of 325 South Michigan, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at 8:52 a.m. at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
Dale was born on July 18, 1927, in Plymouth, to Willard and Bertha Naomi (Thomas) Pritsch. Dale graduated from Plymouth High School in the Class of 1945. He joined the Navy, and served his country, in WWII and Korea. Dale and Helen Myers were married
on January 24, 1976. Dale retired from Fullerton Sheet Metals Company in Northbrook, Illinois. He spent his free his time reading, fishing, golfing, bowling, and doing woodworking.
Dale was a member of the V.F.W. Post #1162 and was the Past Quartermaster and Past Commander of the Post. He also belonged to the American Legion Post #27, of Plymouth, and Plymouth Kilwinning Lodge #149.
Dale is survived by his wife, Helen; his sons, James Pritsch of Cocoa, Florida, Garold Pritsch of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Ronald Pritsch of St. Petersburg, Florida; his sister, Ruth Ann Schrock of Elkhart, Indiana; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 10, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, Plymouth, with the Rev. Dr. Ronald Liechty officiating. Burial will be in New Oak Hill cemetery, Plymouth. The V.F.W. Post #1162 will present Dale with Military Honors at the graveside service.
A time of visiting with Dale’s family and friends, will be on Sunday, December 9, 2007, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana, 46563.

William Lee, Sr.

William M. Lee, Sr., age 61, of 15549 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida, passed away at (19:06) on Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at the Brooksville Regional Hospital in Brooksville.
William was born on April 9, 1946, in Plymouth, Indiana, to Omer and Virginia (Miller) Lee.
William served his country in the United States Navy from 1963 until 1967 on the USS Intrepid during the Vietnam War. He retired from Preston Trucking Company in 1999. William was an avid fisherman, devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
William is survived by wife of 21 years, Sharon Kaye of Brooksville; daughter and son-in-law Debra Venti and Jack Brown of Lenoir, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law William M., Jr. and Amy Lee of Burke, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law, Omer W. and Becky Lee of Rochester, Indiana; five step-children, Christina and Doug Boyle of Hamlet, Indiana; Dena and Bruce Mahrenholz of Vernon Hills, Illinois; Eric and Lisa Meadway of Plymouth, Ben and Billie Meadway of Acworth, Georgia, and Michael and Millie Meadway of Plymouth; six grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, David and Sherrill of New Carlisle, Indiana; sister, Mary Jane Lee DeBaets of Mishawaka, Indiana; sister, Barbara Blackwood of Castle Rock, Colorado; brother and sister-in-law, Stephan and Terri Lee of Plymouth; and numerous nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his parents, Omer W. and Vesta V. Lee; his brother, Richard A. Lee; and his sisters, Virginia M. Sischo and Carolin Lee.
Funeral services for William will be held on Friday, December 7, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ronald Humphrey officiating. Burial will be in New Oak Hill cemetery, Plymouth.
A time of visiting with William's family will be on Thursday, December 6, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the VAN GILDER FUNERAL HOME, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana, 46563.
John Michael "Mike" Shantz
WAKARUSA -- John Michael "Mike" Shantz, 59, of 415 N. Elkhart St., Lot 84, died at 2:15 p.m. Friday (Oct. 16, 2009) in Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born Dec. 18, 1949, in Elkhart to Roy and Bertha (Bixler) Shantz. He married
Ruth Jeannette Emerling in Goshen on Dec. 29, 1973.
She survivors along with two sisters, Caralee (Scott) Smith of Gold Canyon, Ariz., and Peggy (Dave) Owen of Denver; and one brother, Rob (BettyKay) Shantz of Seattle.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Shantz was a truck driver for 30 years and worked in the maintenance department at Walmart.
He was a 1969 graduate of Wakarusa High School and he spent two years in Voluntary Service at the Virginia Home in Richmond, Va. He was also a member of Wakarusa Missionary Church.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St. and one hour before the 11 a.m. service Wednesday at Wakarusa Missionary Church. Pastor Ken Norr will officiate.
Burial will be in Olive (West) cemetery.

Larry Dean Waggoner
GOSHEN -- Larry Dean Waggoner, 53, of Douglas Street, died Thursday (Oct. 15, 2009) in Goshen General Hospital.
He was born Sept. 5, 1956, in Spencer, W.Va., to Clyde and Icy Mae (Parson) Waggoner.
He was a self-employed handyman.
He is survived by his companion of 13 years, Elizabeth Bush; four sisters, Millie Smith of Parkersburg, W.Va., Sally (Reggie) Johnson of Coolville, Ohio, Peggy Prize of Richmond, Ohio, and Dessie (Albert) Mitchell; and one brother, Ernest (Lorenda) Waggoner of Cromwell.
Friends may call Tuesday from 9 until the 10 a.m. funeral service at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen.
Steven G. Greger
GOSHEN -- Steven G. Greger, 49, of Goshen, died Thursday (Oct. 15, 2009) at home.
He was born Oct. 19, 1959, in Wagner, S.D., to Ronald and Leota (Honeymichael) Greger. His parents and one sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Greger is survived by his best friend, Lee Massa of Goshen; two brothers, Ronnie and Randy Greger; and the love of his life, Wendy.
He was a member of Faith Christian Center, Goshen, and had been employed by Sequant Towing Products, Goshen.
Mr. Greger was an outspoken and carefree man who liked to help others. He loved fishing and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Friends may call Monday from 1 until the 3 p.m. funeral service at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. The Rev. Kenny Rogers of Faith Christian Center will officiate.
Bertha Alice Richcreek
GOSHEN -- Bertha Alice Richcreek, 94, of 1905 W. Clinton St., formerly of Syracuse, died at 6:13 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 13, 2009) in Goshen General Hospital.
She was born April 8, 1915, in Benton Township to Jesse L. and Dora (Hapner) Hanshew. On June 5, 1937, she married
Edward Lee Richcreek in Albion. He died Feb. 9, 1979.
Mrs. Richcreek is survived by two nieces, Dorothy Hohman and Shirley (Bill) Havens; and her friends, Don (Sherry) Schrock and Debbie (Rex) Lebold.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Thomas Hanshew, in 1981.
Mrs. Richcreek was a member of Women of the Moose and Tippecanoe Ladies Auxiliary. She worked at Goshen Stamping and Tool for nine years and at Johnson Controls for 36 years before retiring in 1980.
Friends may call Friday from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Pastor John Randolph of People's Bible Church, Benton, will officiate. Private burial will be in Solomon Creek cemetery.
Memorials may be given to People's Bible Church.
Daniel Wayne Duesler
WAKARUSA -- Daniel Wayne Duesler, 66, of C.R. 3, died at 2:29 p.m. Friday (Sept. 25, 2009) in Goshen General Hospital.
He was born Oct. 3, 1942, in Ligonier to Herbert and Carolyn (Schlemmer) Duesler.
He married
Barbara Hoag Aug. 12, 1967, in Aurora, Colo.
She survives, along with one daughter, Andrea Duesler of Cromwell; two sons, Raymond (Kim) Duesler of Bedford and Steve (Audrey) Duesler of Crawfordsville; three grandchildren; and one sister, Jane (George) Campbell of Goshen.
One son, John Duesler, died Nov. 19, 2006.
Mr. Duesler served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1964 and retired from Bayer as a research scientist.
He attended Wakarusa United Methodist Church.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St. The funeral will start at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Ed Geleske of the Wakarusa United Methodist Church will officiate.
