Cody N. Erickson, 8, of 10772 King Road, Plymouth, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2003 at 7:30 PM at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana.
He was born on August 19, 1994 in South Bend to Gregg and Kelly (Hiatt) Erickson.
He was a first grader at the Washington Elementary School in Plymouth and a member of the Sunrise Chapel Church.
He is survived by his parents, Gregg and Kelly Erickson of Plymouth, Indiana; sister, Danielle; brother, Gregory II; both at home. Grandparents, Bernard Jr. and Jan Erickson of Bremen, Indiana, and Phillip and Shirley Hiatt of Plymouth; and great-grandmother, Florence Erickson of Walkerton, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lois Erickson.
Services will be held Thursday, February 6, 2003, at 10:30 AM at the Sunrise Chapel Church in Plymouth, Indiana, with Pastor Rustin Krapfl officiating. Burial will be at the Morris cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday, February 5, 2003 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Van Gilder Funeral Home 300 West Madison Stret in Plymouth, Indiana, and on Thursday at the Sunrise Chapel one hour prior to the service.

Kevin D. Anderson, 43, of 7085 11th Road, Bourbon, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at 4:00 PM at St. Joseph RMC, South Bend Campus, South Bend.
He was born on May 25, 1959 in Rochester to Dennis and Jalaine (Smythe) Anderson.
He married
Sue Cain Anderson on April 1, 1988 in Plymouth, Indiana.
He was a member of the Plymouth Bowling League and bowled for Dean Foods. Kevin also served in the Indiana National Guard for 20 years. In 2000, Kevin graduated from Ancilla College and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society. He was employed by Hoosier Tire as a treader.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Anderson of Plymouth, Indiana, Father, Dennis (Mary) Anderson of Silver Lake, Indiana, Mother, Jalaine Anderson of Warsaw. Also surviving are his Daughter, Deby (Matt) Gauthier of Phoenix, Arizona, Step-son, David Cain of Plymouth, Indiana, Step-Daughter, Heather Cain of Plymouth, Indiana, Brother, Jay (Tina) Anderson of Warsaw, Indiana, Sister, Beth (Russ) Roesner of Mentone, Indiana and Sister, Kara Anderson of Silver Lake, Indiana, as well as his grandmother Iris Thompson of Mentone, Indiana.
Services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the Van Gilder Funeral Home in Plymouth, Indiana. Burial will be at the New Oak Hill cemetery on Saturday, January 25, 2003.

Agnes Kleckner Snyder, 86, of 600 Oak Hill Avenue, Plymouth, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2003 at 12:25 a.m. at Miller's Merry Manor in Plymouth, Indiana.
She was born on October 13, 1916 in Marshall County to Onis and Ruth (Gantz) Hite.
She married
Wayne Kleckner in 1940 and he was killed on December 23, 1944 in the service of his country at The Battle of the Bulge. Agnes then married
Richard Snyder on January 4, 1947 and he passed away on February 23, 1996.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Plymouth. Agnes had worked for 27 years at the Koontz-Wagner Electric Company in South Bend as office manager, and the assistant to the president of the company. She was also the church secretary.
She is survived by a son, Thom and Connie Kleckner of Plymouth, Indiana, a grandson, Todd and Tammy Kleckner of Plymouth, Indiana, a granddaughter, Abby and Jeff Sharp of Plymouth, Indiana, a sister, Anna and Charles Stotts of Franklin, Indiana, a brother-in-law, Lloyd McFarlin of Plymouth, Indiana, and 5 great-grandchildren. Agnes is preceded in death by two sisters Margaret Hite and Caroline McFarlin.
Services will be held Wednesday January 15, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. in the Van Gilder Funeral Home 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana with Rev. Maurice Grindle officiating. Burial will be at the New Oak Hill cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana.

Janiece M. Warren, 79, of 905 E. Berkley St. # 32, Plymouth, passed away Saturday January 11, 2003 at 7:25 p.m. in St. Joseph RMC, Plymouth Campus, Plymouth, Indiana.
She was born on March 4, 1923 in Claypool, Indiana to Walter and Opal(Cluen) MaGee. She moved to Texas in 1968 and moved back to Plymouth in 1995.
Janiece has worked as a bank teller in Plymouth at the Marshall County Bank and Trust and a teller in Texas City, Texas. She loved to play bridge.
She is survived by a daughter, Marsha and Richard Botset of, Virginia; sons, Steve and Randa Warren of Plymouth, Indiana and Doug and Shannon Warren of Texas; step-daughters, Kathy Hogan of Webster, Texas and Laura St. Clair of Texas City, Texas; daughter-in-law, Rexalee Warren of Plymouth, Indiana; a sister, Carolyn Woods of Plymouth, Indiana; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one son Robert Warren who died November 15, 1993.

Mary I. Tapp, 95, of 13327 West 7th Road, Plymouth, passed away Friday, January 10, 2003 at 12:25 p.m. at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home in Plymouth, Indiana.
She was born on September 2, 1907 in Plymouth to Arthur and Florrie(Ramsay) Harris.
She married
Joel Tapp on August 24, 1929 and he passed away in 1982.
She was a member of the Christ's Church in Plymouth. Mary was in the Helping Hands ladies group in the church. She was also the organist for her church. Mary had started working for the Marshall County Trust and Savings as a bookkeeper, starting at the age of 17. The bank changed names to the Marshall County Bank and Trust and she retired from there in 1972 after 48 years of service.
She is survived by nieces; Maxine Rains McLean of Plymouth, Indiana, Pauline Rains Phillippe of, Florida, and Ruth Rains Nelson of California; great-niece, Patty and Cal Barker of Plymouth, Indiana, great-nephew; Mike and Sharon McLean of Plymouth, Indiana; foster son, Floyd and Pat Harding of Bloomington, Indiana. Mary was preceded in death by one sister, Elsie Rains Jacoby and one niece, Marilyn Rains Kissinger.

PLYMOUTH - Ernest G. Probst, age 81, died on Wednesday January 8, 2003 at the Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home in Plymouth, Indiana. He was born in Aurora, Indiana on December 6, 1921, the ninth child of John and Anna(Hornig) Probst. Ernie graduated from Aurora High School in 1939 and attended Purdue University for two years before beginning work at a dairy in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He was inducted into the United States Army in August, 1942, and married
Crawfordsville-area native Mary Margaret Gegner on January 22, 1943 while on leave. Ernie subsequently spent two years in the South Pacific theater of World War II as a landing craft driver, leaving the Army as a Technical Sergeant in January, 1946. After his return he completed his studies at Purdue and received his degree in dairy manufacturing in June, 1947. He then managed a small dairy in Waynetown, Indiana and served as an assistant county agent in Montgomery County, Indiana.
Ernie began working at Plymouth Dairy in Plymouth, Indiana in September, 1949, and resided in this community from that time on, with he and Mary raising three children. In 1951, Ernie opened the Ernie Probst Real Estate Agency in Plymouth, which he owned and operated until 1981. He specialized in rural property and was known as "The Farm Man". He was Indiana's first accredited Farm and Land Broker and was in the first graduating class of the Graduate Realtor Institute at Indiana University, as well as being a charter member of the Marshall County Board of Realtors.
Active in the Republican Party for many years, Ernie served on the the Marshall County Council from 1980-1988, including four years as Council President. He had a strong interest in the history of dairy manufacturing. His restored milkwagon containing milk bottles from over four hundred fifty Indiana dairies is now on permanent display in the Purdue pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Ernie was also an avid hunter and conservationist . He was a member of the first Board of the National Wild Turkey Federation and in the late 1960's he undertook the first release of wild turkeys in Marshall County. Through the years, he also planted Dogwood trees at many public facilities and private residences throughout the area. Ernie had been a member of the First United Methodist Church in Plymouth since 1954. He was a fifty year member of both Rotary International and the Masonic Lodge and was active in a number of charitable causes. He is survived by his wife Mary, his children Ronald (Judy) of Tucson, Arizona, Janet of Berkeley, California, and James of Marion, Iowa, two grandchildren, Mathew and Elizabeth, of Tucson, Arizona, and siblings John Probst, Jr., Mary Ann Warren and Viola Mollman all of Aurora, Indiana.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday January 10, 2002 at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth. There will be a Masonic service by the Plymouth Kilwinning Lodge #149 at 8:00 p.m. Friday following visitation. There will also be a one hour visitation at the church prior to the funeral service.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January, 11, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, Plymouth, Indiana, with Dr. Dean Fager officiating. Burial will be at the New Oak Hill cemetery.

Randy A. Wilson on October 15, 2001 in Plymouth, Indiana.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Wilson of Plymouth, her parents William and Norma Spencer also of Plymouth, as well as Son, Nathan Weyrich of Garrett, Indiana, Daughter, Becky Mendez of Bremen, Indiana, and Son, Caleb Weyrich at home.
Also surviving Sue are her Sisters, Beth Siderius of Carol Stream, Illinois and Mary Mizera of El Paso, Texas and her Brothers, William Spencer of Goshen, Indiana, Charles Spencer of Bristol, Indiana, and Richard Spencer of Mishawaka, Indiana. One Granddaughter, Alexandra, also survives.

Hildreth Easterday, 103, of 730 School Road, Culver, passed away Sunday December 22, 2002 at 8:55 PM at Millers Merry Manor of Culver, Indiana.
She was born on February 9, 1899 in Scottsburg to Charles and Elizabeth (Stalker) Garriott.
She married
William Easterday on July 18, 1922, and Bill passed away on March 19, 1978.
Hildreth's family moved to Westfield, Indiana when she was about two years old and then to Plainfield, Indiana when she was six. She attended school in Plainfield, graduating from High school in 1918. Then she attended Central Normal College at Danville, Indiana and the Logansport Business College.
Hildreth and Bill lived at the Indiana Boys School where she was matron of Hanly Cottage and Librarian until they moved to Culver on June 6, 1933. She helped her husband in the Easterday Funeral Home and was a correspondent for the South Bend Tribune and the Pilot News for about 40 years. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church of Culver, Indiana.
She is survived by niece, Marjorie Ferrier of Culver, Indiana, niece, Patty Jordon of Santa Rosa, California, nephew, Jim Curl of Santa Rosa, California, great-niece, Tina and Jim Hopple of Plymouth, Indiana, great-great-nephew, Craig and Hillary Hopple of Plymouth, Indiana, great-great-nephew, Chad and Marcella Hopple of Plymouth, Indiana, great-great niece, Yvonne and Chad Watkins of Plymouth, Indiana, great-great- great nephews, Calvin and Hayden Hopple of Plymouth, Indiana, and great-great-great-nieces, Hanna and Emily Hopple of Plymouth, Indiana.
