W. Wayne Kinnett, age 86 of Tipton, IN died on June 29, 2007 at Tipton County Memorial Hospital in Tipton, IN. He was born on Oct. 26, 1920 in Versailles, Indiana to Floyd and Ines (Jackson) Kinnett. Wayne graduated from Sharpsville High School in 1939 and married Mary M. Porter on November, 5 1940. He retired from Kraft Foods in Champaign, IL in 1982 after 27 years of service. Wayne attended Harbour Shores Church in Cicero, IN. Memorials may be made to the church building fund. Surviving are his wife Mary Kinnett of Tipton, a daughter Gaye N. Kinnett of Kansas and a daughter in law Barbara Kinnett of Ilinois along with grandchildren; Diana Kinnett, Amy Crouch and great grandchildren Elijah & Hope Crouch. Four step grandchildren also survive. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, a son Larry Wayne Kinnett and one brother. Calling will be held from 6-8 PM on July 2, 2007 at the Porter Funeral Home in Tipton. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on July 3, 2007 at Porters with Pastor Larry O’Brien officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery
in Tipton.
CARLTON TRIMBLE
SEPTEMBER 4, 1926 ~ JUNE 10, 2007
Carlton Trimble age 80, of Windfall, IN passed away on June 10, 2007. He was born in Kokomo, Indiana on September 4, 1926 to Carl and Dorothy (Richcreek) Trimble who are both deceased. Carlton had graduated from Windfall High School in 1944. He was married on June 7, 1947 to Jane Ann (Duffy) Trimble who preceded him in death on September 7, 2002. Carlton was a farmer and operated Trimble Farms, which began in 1853. Memberships include the Windfall Lions, Indiana Farm Bureau, National Rifle Association (life member), Tipton County Threshers, and the Fraternal Order of Police. Some of his hobbies included gun collecting, hunting, and fishing. Carlton was survived by two children; David Alton Trimble of Windfall, and Nancy Ellen Tansy of Ft. Myers FL., and grandchildren David Scott Trimble, Larry William Trimble, Matthew Brooks, Alexander Brooks-Trimble, Amanda Warren, and three great grandchildren. Calling will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on June 15, 2007 at the Porter Funeral Home in Tipton with a funeral service beginning at 8:00 PM the same evening.

Eva Mae Book age 77, of Anderson, IN passed away on June 10, 2007 at Community Northview Care Center. She was born in Anderson, Indiana on Sept. 19, 1929 to Haywood and Lena (Simpson) Dixon. Eva was married to Robert “Bob” Book in 1985. She retired from Community Hospital in 1991 after 25 years of service. Eva is survived by her husband Bob of Anderson, two sons, Scott Randall Bolderson of Circleville, Ohio and Gary Bolderson of Muncie, IN along with two step-daughters, Roberta Vernice Reichenbach of Anderson, In and Christina Marie Phillips of N.J. Other survivors include sisters, Dorothy Chittick of Madison, In and Vonna Lee Dixon of Anderson, IN along with grandchildren Scott Randall Bolderson, Lori Marie Bolderson, Spc. William John Paul Bolderson, Mellissa Jean Bolderson, Angie Ramseyer, Beth Reichenbach, Sgt. Mike Reichenbach, Sarah Reichenbach, and great grandchildren Shannan Hoesli, Kelly Vaisey, Ryan Whitmer, Dylan Ramseyer, Keegan Ramseyer, Stone Hoesli, Max Hoesli, and Lena Vaisey. RONALD L. SHIVE
JANUARY 25, 1920 ~ JUNE 5, 2007
Ronald L. Shive age 87, of Kempton, IN passed away on June 5, 2007 at Autumnwood Extended Care in Tipton. He was born in Metcalfe County, Kentucky on January 25, 1920 to Walter and Eva (Reed) Shive. Ronald married Ray Stephens on Feb. 6, 1939 and she survives. He had retired from G&M Construction, Kokomo in 1985 giving himself more time to enjoy gardening, woodworking, fishing and beekeeping. Ronald had attended church at the Missionary Baptist Church in Kempton. Survivors include his wife Ray, granddaughters; Jennifer Walker, Julie Herrera, Karla Southard and Marla Wallace along with a sister Mary Lois Grider of Kentucky. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, a son Freeman Donald Wallace, 3 brothers and a sister. Calling will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on June 7, 2007 at the Porter Funeral Home in Tipton with funeral services at 8:00 PM the same evening . Calling will then take place from 2:00-3:00 PM on June 8, 2007 at the McMurtrey Funeral Home in Summer Shade, KY with services at 3:00 PM. Burial will then be held in the Summer Shade Cemetery.

Patricia Ann Sherwood age 68, of Tipton, IN passed away on May 28, 2007. She was born in Tipton, Indiana on June 23, 1938 to William and Ann (Terry) Sherwood who are both deceased. Patricia had graduated from Tipton High School and the Indiana School of Business. She had been employed at Conner Prairie Pioneer Settlement in Noblesville, IN as a marketing specialist. Memberships include the West Street Christian Church in Tipton, Order of the Eastern Star, Indiana Friends of the Library, Indiana Genealogical Society and Past President of the Tipton County Historic Society. Patricia was survived by two brothers; Bill & wife Marilyn Sherwood of Tipton and Terry & wife Gale Sherwood of Tipton along with two nieces; Heather and Emily Sherwood of Lafayette, IN and a nephew Jim & wife Angie Sherwood of Merriam, KS. Family will be receiving friends from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on June 2, 2007 at the Porter Funeral Home in Tipton with a memorial service beginning at 10:00 AM the same day. Rev. George Sullivan-Davis and Pastor Mark Ward will officiate.

Eric D. Gathman age 24, of Tipton, IN passed away on May 20, 2007 at his home. He was born in Tipton, Indiana on January 18, 1983 to Charles D. Gathman and Suzanne (Dunbar) York. Survivors include his mother, Susie & husband Robert York and father Charles D. Gathman all of Tipton along with his maternal grandmother Mary Beheler of Tipton. Also surviving are brothers Bobby York of Tipton, Brad & wife Nicole Phillips of Elwood and a sister Kelli & husband Kevin Doyle of Lafayette, IN along with aunts and uncles; Daniel & wife Renee Gathman of Lapel, IN, Velma & husband Willie Brannum of Tipton, John King of Tipton, Bill & wife Mary Dunbar of Tipton, Cindy Dunbar of Tipton and his dog Layla. Several cousins and friends also survive. Eric was preceded in death by his paternal grand parents Charles and Dixie Gathman. ROBERT "TIP" EDWARD BALLENGER

Robert “Tip“ Edward Ballenger, age 77 of Elwood, IN died on May 12, 2007 at his home. He was born on March 20, 1930 in Kokomo, IN to Ralph and Sylvia (McKinney) Ballenger. Robert had been married to Phyllis (Dunham) Ballenger until her death in 2002. He was a past member of the Indiana National Guard and a graduate of Tipton High School. Robert was a retiree from Delco Remy in Anderson and was very active within his church, the First Missionary Baptist Church in Elwood. He was a very loyal fan of the Indiana Pacers, always giving them his full support. Robert was survived by his four children, Beth (Dave) Roach of Tipton, Eddie Ballenger of Tipton, Cindy (Mike) Robinson of Deputy, IN and Judy Fletcher of Tennessee along with grandchildren Adrian, Cara, Corey, Jason, Blake, Amy, Bob, Ashley, Ryan, Matt, Erin, Derek, Josh, Allison, Dan, Candace, B.J., Nicole and five great grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife Phyllis, brothers Max & Bill Ballenger and a son Steve Dunham. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on May 16, 2007 at Porter Funeral Home in Tipton with Pastor John Dawson officiating. Calling will be from 6-8 PM on the evening of May 15, 2007 at Porters. Burial will be at the Sharpsville Cemetery
in Sharpsville. The family requests memorials be made to the Kidney Foundation, the First Missionary Baptist Church of Elwood or the charity of your choice.

Julia C. (McNew) Horton age 96, of Tipton, IN passed away on April 18, 2007 at Autumnwood Extended Care in Tipton, Indiana. She was born in Arcadia, Indiana on July 2, 1911 to Archie and Zelia (Waltz) McNew. Julia married Charles N. Horton in 1930 and he passed away in 1978. She had been an employee of the Tipton County Library years ago. Survivors include a son James Horton and his wife Kay of Tipton and a daughter in law Virginia Horton of Camby, IN. along with several grand, great grand, great great grandchildren and nieces & nephews. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, a daughter Anita, a son Charles, one sister and five brothers. Carolyn S. Anthony, age 64 of Sharpsville, IN died on April 12, 2007 at Tipton County Memorial Hospital in Tipton, IN. She was born on July 26, 1942 in Wells County Indiana to Virgil and Pauline (Kerlin) Booher. Carolyn married Robert A. Anthony on July 29, 1961 and he passed away on March 12, 2007. She retired from Northern Neck Security Co. in Calleo, VA. Surviving are her children; Robin (Terry) Dodge of Tipton, Cathy Anthony of Windfall, John (Raquel) Anthony of Weston, Ohio and Dawn (Stan) Marcum of Windfall along with grandchildren; Chris (Ashley) McCool, Kyle McCool, Bobby Anthony, Carlie Marcum and MaKayla Marcum all of Windfall, Jeremy, Justin and Jessica Anthony of Weston, Ohio. Also surviving are three brothers, Jerry (Margaret) Booher of Greenwood, IN, Donald (Sue) Booher of Spencer, IN and Richard (Pat) Booher of Knightstown, IN. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, two sisters, Alice Goodnight and Mary Weikal . A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on April 21, 2007 at Porter Funeral Home in Tipton with Pastor Denny Pearson officiating. Family will receive friends from 1-2 PM on the day of services at Porters.
JOANNE M. BLUNCK

Joanne M. Blunck, age 69 of Windfall, IN died on April 9, 2007 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on April 11, 1937 in Ringgold County, Iowa to John M. and Marie (Bennett) McGilvrey. Joanne married Robert Blunck on December 12, 1955 and he passed away on January 26, 1996. She had recently retired after 31 years from the accounting firm of Bucheri, McCarty & Metz LLP in Kokomo where she was the computer department manager. Joanne was a member of the United Methodist Church, Newcastle Wyoming Jaycees, Order of Eastern Star and was first elected to the Windfall Town Board in 2000 and re-elected in 2004 presently serving as Board President. Joanne was survived by her four children, Bob (Brenda) Blunck of Elwood, Ron (Julie) Blunck of Sharpsville, Rick (Jodie) Blunck of Atlanta, GA and Barb (John) Kunstman of Rockville, MD. Also surviving are siblings J.B. McGilvrey of Woodward, Iowa and Janene McGilvrey of Washington, Iowa along with grandchildren Brandie Blunck and fiancé Aarron Bond, Lorie Blunck, Seth Blunck, Natalie Schurke, Nikki Tindol, Madison Kunstman and Evan Kunstman. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert T. Blunck. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on April 13, 2007 at Porter Funeral Home in Tipton with Pastor Denny Pearson officiating. Calling will be from 4-8 PM on the evening of April 12, 2007 at Porters. Burial will be at the Brookside Cemetery
in Windfall.

Florence Mae Morrisett age 83, of Tipton, IN entered her new home in heaven on March 30, 2007 from her home in Tipton. She was born February 7, 1924 in Tipton, IN to Earl and Edith (Pennock) Phifer. Florence married John C. Morrisett on February 7, 1941. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. Florence was a member of Beacon of Hope Church of God in Tipton. Surviving are her children, James (Janice) Morrisett of Greencastle, William (Connie) Morrisett of Elwood, Loretta (Leon) Sarber of Bremen, IN, Sandy (Tim) Peters of Sharpsville and a son in law Tony Dunn of Tipton. Siblings surviving are Crystal Collins of Kempton, Etta Cole of Gas City, IN and Roy Phifer of Plymouth, IN along with 23 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grand children. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, daughter Barbara Dunn, son in law Gary Cox, five sisters and four brothers. Services will be at 10:00AM on Tuesday April 3, 2007 at the Porter Funeral Home in Tipton with Pastor Paul Compton officiating. Calling will be from 6-8 PM on Monday April 2, 2007 at Porters and one hour prior services on Monday. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery
