Suzanne C. Mills
Suzanne C. Mills, 40, Noblesville, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2005, at her residence after a sudden illness.
She was born on March 16, 1964, in Noblesville to Howard and Carol (Gaugel) Mills, Jr. She lived in Lapel until 1977 when her family moved to Noblesville. She graduated from Noblesville High School.
She had been employed for the last three years at the Marsh supermarket in Noblesville.
She was a member of Faith Community Church in Noblesville.
She is survived by parents, Howard and Carol Mills of Noblesville; and two brothers, Michael (wife, Paula) Brown of Boerne, TX, and John (wife, Camille) Mills of Seattle, WA.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Allan Hazen officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside cemetery, Lapel.

William W. Morin
William W. Morin, 84, Lapel, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2005, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following a brief illness.
He was born on January 8, 1921, in Carrolton, Kentucky to Ray and Lillie (Kelly) Morin.
He was a World War II Army veteran who served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and was awarded two Bronze Stars. He retired in 1984 from Reynolds Farm Equipment in Fishers and was then employed by the Lapel Post Office.
He was a member of the Zion Unto Christ Church in Markleville and the Anderson V. F. W. Post 266.
He is survived by wife, Junya (Adams Blake) Morin; two children, Judy Brantlinger, and Dennis (Laurie) Morin both of Lapel; four step sons, Doug Blake of Selma, Mike Blake of Pendleton, Steve Blake of Pendleton, and Joe Blake of Lafayette; two sisters, Rosella Giddings of Noblesville, and Velma Ghourley of Decatur, TN; one brother, Allen Morin of Middletown; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Esther; a brother; Robert Morin; three sisters, Alma Pyles, Hattie Calhoun, and Goldie Thompson; a grandson, Christopher Armendariz; and his son-in-law, Robert Brantlinger.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Emory Reece officiating. Military graveside rites and burial will be at the Cliff Hill cemetery in Versailles at 2:00 PM Wednesday.

Norma M. Neese
Norma M. Neese, 83, Frankton, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2005, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born on July 6, 1922, in Anderson, Indiana to Robert and Fern (Wise) Busby.
She was a 1940 Lapel High School graduate.
She had been a member of the Perkinsville Community Church since she was 18.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Marvin Neese; three sons, Ron (wife, Georgia) Neese, Bob (wife, Laurie) Neese, and Bill (wife, Beth) Neese all of Frankton; eight grandchildren, Kim Speaker, Greta Forrer, Ronda Neese, Jill Neese, Tom Neese, Jonus Neese, Jackie Milam, and Anna Neese; five great-grandchildren, Cody Speaker, Will Speaker, Evan Speaker, Clay Forrer, and Grant Forrer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Harold and Neil Busby.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Perkinsville Community Church with Rev. Mark Aleshire officiating. Burial will be at the Neese cemetery in rural Frankton.

Sandra A. Neese
Sandra A. Neese, 69, Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2005, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after a sudden illness.
She was born on April 8, 1936 in Lapel, Indiana to Oral and Alma (Meeker) Neese.
She was a Lapel High School graduate and received a bachelor's degree from Indiana University and a law degree from Indiana University.
Following law school, she worked in the attorney general's office for the state of Indiana. She served with the first lawyers project in the Peace Corps at the University of Liberia in Monrovia, Liberia. Sandra had served with the Missouri Human Rights Commission before working with the federal Equal Employment Opportunities Commision where she was the Kansas City regional attorney, a member of the Chicago litigation center and then the Milwauke regional attorney. She was actively involved in the civil rights movement.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lapel, the Naomi Circle, and the Indiana Bar Association.
She is survived by her mother, Alma Neese of Lapel; two sisters, Emily (husband, James) Sisson of Lapel, and Beth Neese of Indianapolis; one brother, David (wife, Jeanne) Neese of Philadelphia, PA; six nieces and nephews, Jane Sisson, Julia (husband, Mark) Alness, Donna Lynn (husband, Mark) Eliason, Thomas (wife, Pamela) Sisson, Geoffrey D. Neese, and Natasha Pomparelli; and ten great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside cemetery in Lapel.

George W. Parker
George W. "Bud" Parker, 80, West Frankfort, Illinois, formerly of Noblesville, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2005, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born on October 17, 1924, in Lapel, Indiana to Elmer and Georgia (King) Parker.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and was a retired agent for American Income Life. He had owned and operated Parker's Green Acres moble home park in rural Noblesville.
He was a member of Southpoint Church of God in West Frankfort, IL, the Noblesville Moose, the Lapel Masonic Lodge No. 625, and the Lapel American Legion Post 212.
He is survived by three children, Carol (husband, Larry) Shupe of West Frankfort, IL, Darrell (wife, Angie) Parker of Knoxville, TN, and Sharry (husband, Mike) Gilliam of Warner Robins, GA; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Anderson) Parker in 1999; his son Roger Allen Parker; a granddaughter, Mindi Bentley; his parents; one brother; and two sisters.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel, with Pastors Tod and Tina Parchman officiating. Burial will be at the Grovelawn cemetery in Pendleton.

Chester K. Peacock
Chester Keith Peacock, 79, Noblesville, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville following a brief illness.
He was born on February 4, 1926, in Scott County, Indiana to Delmar and Opal (Keith) Peacock.
Chester grew up in the Greenfield area and attended Maxwell High School. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII as a medic in the European Theater. He retired in 1987 from the former Guide Lamp Division of GM in Anderson after 41 years of employment and was also a farmer. He had been employed at Hersberger Funeral Home for 11 years after his retirement.
He was a member of the Prairie Baptist Church where he was head usher, a trustee, and a former Sunday school teacher. He also was a member of the Hamilton County Farm Bureau where he was Wayne Township Chairman.
Chester was a fine example of a Christian man.
He is survived by his wife, Inabeth Peacock; one daughter, Kathy (husband, Mike) Swackhamer of Anderson; two granddaughters, Connie (husband, Doug) Kolb of Sheridan, and Rachel (husband, Chris) Milner of Lapel; one great grandson, Jesse Kolb; one sister, Wilma (husband, Paul) Johnson of Greenfield; one sister-in-law, Lillian Peacock of Anderson; and one brother-in-law, Bob Willits of Greenfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Cecil Peacock; and three sisters, Norine Willits, Pauline Wallsmith, and Martha Kreienbrink.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday at Prairie Baptist Church in Noblesvillle with Rev.s Bob Williams, and Larry McFadden officiating. Burial will be at the Prairie Memorial cemetery.

Roger L. Pfister
Roger L. Pfister, 85, Lapel, formerly of Niles, Michigan, passed away Wednesday November 16, 2005, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born on February 26, 1920, in Niles, Michigan to Grant and Anna (Hoelster) Pfister.
He retired in 1982 from National Standard Wire Company in Niles, Michigan.
He was a lifelong member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Niles, Michigan. He was previously active in the Council on Aging in Cassopolis, Michigan and the Michiana Organ Club.
He is survived by three children, Ann (husband, Rob) Miller of Lapel, Roger Pfister of Niles, MI, and Terry (wife, Jennifer) Pfister of Niles, MI; and three grandsons, Michael Ryan Shull, Hayden Pfister, and Elliott Lee Pfister.
He was preceded in death in 2004 by his wife, Virginia Mae (Heister) Pfister.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Niles, Michigan with Pastor Barbara Wirt officiating.
There will be no visiting.

Eleanor Renner
Eleanor Elaine Renner, 91, Lapel, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born on March 4, 1913, in Hartford City, Indiana to Edward and Florence (Haney) Waters.
She taught high school Latin and English in both Hartford City and Lapel and was also a substitute teacher in Lapel for many years.
She attended the United Brethren church in Hartford City. She was an avid photographer and loved the outdoors.
she is survived by her husband, Austin Renner, one daughter, Suzanne (husband, William Peachy of Akchakoja, Turkey; one son, Steven (wife, Darlene) Renner of Yorktown; four grandchildren, Miriam Kenanah of Phoenix, Arizona. Solomon Peachy of Melbourne, Florida Ayla Peachy of Athens, Georgia, and Leylea Peachy of Athens, Georgia; and two great grandchildren, Faisal Kenanah, and Kamal Kenanah.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Elaine Renner.
Services will beheld at 1:00 p.m., Monday with the Rev. Harold Scott officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside cemetery in Lapel.

Jennifer J. Retherford
Jennifer J. Retherford, 63, Anderson, passed away Monday, May 9, 2005, at her residence following a sudden illness.
She was born on March 9, 1942, in Lee County, Virginia to Peter and Cornia (Hilton) Risco.
She retired from Guide Division of GM and she enjoyed studying Karate.
She is survived by her dear friend, Donald Wallace of Anderson; two sons, Scott (wife, Kathy) Retherford of Anderson, and Barry Retherford of Lapel; two sisters, Mary Alice Jones of Noblesville, and Patsy Carlin of Lapel; three grandchildren, Kayley Retherford, Branson Harris Retherford, and Brittiany Luttrell; and one great granddaughter, Madison Luttrell.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Jeff Young officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside cemetery, Lapel.

M. Cassell "Whitie" Rich
M. Cassell "Whitie" Rich, 92, Anderson, passed away Monday, November 21, 2005, at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born on May 28, 1913, in Fishersburg, Indiana to Scott and Mary (Teeters) Rich.
He was a 1931 Lapel High School graduate. He retired in 1972 from Guide Lamp division of General Motors after 38 years of employment. He enjoyed his hobbies of farming and coon hunting and was a founding member of the Madison County Coon Hunters Club.
He was a member of the Ford Street United Methodist Church, and the Lapel Optimist Club.
He is survived by four children, Jeannie (husband, Steve) Watson of Pendleton, Jim "Zeke" (wife, Julie) Rich of Anderson, Terry (wife, Deborah) Rich of Anderson, and daughter, Peggy (husband, Chris) Nunley of Crown Point; two sisters, Lorene Collins of Lapel, and Kathleen (husband, Elmer) Anderson of Scottsdale, AZ; one brother, Alva "Ab" (wife, Velma) Rich of Lapel; sixteen grandchildren, Amy Brown, Julie Ginley, Stefanie Baker, Shelli Kordes, Scott Rich, Ryan Rich, Rhett Rich, Renae Rich, Sarah Miller, Allison Nunley, Hannah Nunley, Meredith Nunley, Eddie Rich, Danny Rich, Debbie Rich, and Nora Rich; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 49 years, ClaraBelle (Hawley) Rich; a son, Harold Rich; a granddaughter, Angie Watson; and a sister, Margaret Whetstone.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel with Rev. Mark Helm officiating. Burial will be at the Brookside cemetery in Lapel.
