Donald C. Hott
WEST CARROLLTON, Ohio A former Plymouth resident, Donald C. Hott, 71, of West
Carrollton, Ohio passed away Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Southview Hospital, Centerville, Ohio
after being in failing health. Services were held Wednesday, June 13 with interment in Evergreen
cemetery, West Carrollton, Ohio. Pastor Coy Barrett officiated.
As a real estate appraiser, Don served the Dayton area for 17 years. From 1958-1960, he was a
member of the U.S. Army Band.
His wife of 39 years, Lou Ella, survives with a daughter, Shirley Fairchild, and two grandchildren.
Also surviving is a sister, Sally Birmingham of Memphis, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his father, Emerson K. Hott; his mother, Mrs. Letty J. Couse and a
a brother, E. David Hott.
Newcomer Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Alan C. Ewing
WARSAW - Alan C. Ewing, 59, of Warsaw, died on Sunday, June 10 in Mentone.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn; daughters: Andrea Ewing of Mentone and Mandy (John)
Gervais of Etna Green; three grandchildren; his mother; Hazel "Skip" Ewing of Etna Green; and
his brother, Brian Ewing and Tanya Thomas of Pennsylvania.
Visitation is Thursday, June 14 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, Bourbon.
Funeral services are Friday, June 15 at 11 a.m. in the Etna Green cemetery. Burial will follow in
the Etna Green cemetery at Etna Green.
Alicia Renae Miller
NEW PARIS Alicia Renae Miller, 17, of New Paris, died on Sunday, June 10 at the scene of
an automobile accident in Nappanee.
She is survived by her parents, Ron and Edith Miller of New Paris; brother, Anson Miller, at
home; sisters: Angela Miller and Abigail Miller, both at home; grandparents: Wayne and Mary
(Troyer) Miller of Sugar Creek, Ohio and Elmer and Irene (Yoder) Yoder of Ligonier; and great-grandmother,
Mary Miller of Sugar Creek, Ohio.
Visitation is Wednesday, June 13 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, June 14 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8
p.m. at the Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church, Nappanee.
Funeral services are Friday, June 15 at 10 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be at the Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alicia and Austin Miller Memorial Fund.

Austin Lavon Miller
NEW PARIS Austin Lavon Miller, 15, of New Paris, died on Sunday, June 10 from injuries
sustained in an automobile accident in Nappanee.
He is survived by his parents, Ron and Edith Miller of New Paris; brother, Anson Miller, at home;
sisters: Angela Miller and Abigail Miller, both at home; grandparents: Wayne and Mary (Troyer)

Deverl "Doc" Jefferies
ROCHESTER Deverl Doc Jefferies, 87, of Rochester, died at 7:13 p.m. on Monday, June
11 at Life Care Center of Rochester.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Jefferies of Rochester; daughter, Janelle (Brian) Green of
Rochester; and sister, Retha Ballenger of Warsaw.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 14 at the
Rochester IOOF cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.

Trevor L. Yoder
PLYMOUTH Trevor L. Yoder, 16, of 24649 Tyler Rd., Plymouth, passed away at 11:50 a.m.
on Monday, June 11 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. He was born on July 3, 1990 in
Bremen to Menno and Doris (Hershberger) Yoder.
Trevor just completed his sophomore year at United Christian School in Nappanee. He worked
at All Seasons Tent & Party Rental in Nappanee and was a member of the North Liberty
Mennonite Church.
He is survived by his parents, Menno and Doris Yoder of Plymouth; one sister, Kelly Yoder, at
home; one brother, Spenser Yoder, at home; maternal grandparents, Lamar and Clara
Hershberger of Nappanee; and paternal grandparents, Emmon and MaryAnna Yoder of Etna
Green.
Visitation was Tuesday, June 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. and is Wednesday, June 13 from 2 to 4 and 6
to 8 p.m. at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa.
Funeral services are Thursday, June 14 at 10 a.m. at the Nappanee Missionary Church with
Rev. Ray Stutzman, Rev. Gilbert Miller and Rev. Noah Knepp Jr. officiating.
Burial will be at the Bethel cemetery, Nappanee.

David William, Rev. Widmoyer
NAPPANEE Honorable Rev. David William Widmoyer, 76, of Nappanee, died at 2:06 a.m. on
Tuesday, June 12 at Greencroft Healthcare.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Widmoyer; son, Clark (Kathy) Widmoyer of Elkhart; daughters:
Beth (David) Bowman of Nappanee, Gail (Vincent) Alexander of Indianapolis and Portia (Steve)
Ham of Nappanee; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Sunday, June 17 from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral
Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to services at the church Monday. Masonic services will be
held at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services are Monday, June 18 at 10 a.m. at the Nappanee United Methodist Church.
Burial will be at Union Center cemetery, Nappanee.
Memorials may be made to the Elkhart County Community Foundation or the donor's choice.
Verona Jean "Skip" Gaskill
ELKHART Verona Jean Skip Gaskill, 74, died Friday June 15 at Elkhart General Hospital.
She is survived by daughters Cathy Mullett of Warsaw, Sara and Doug Hill of Carmel; son, Clint
and Mary Gaskill of Rocky Mount, N.C.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and
sister, Janet Johnson of Amarillo, Texas as well as her mother, Kathryn Heisler of Warsaw.
Visitation is Tuesday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, from 2 to 4
and 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church.
Services are Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the North Main Street Mennonite Church.
Burial will be at Sandridge cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
