Daniece V. Rowe
BREMEN — Daniece V. Rowe, 69, of Bremen, passed away on May 5, 2007, at the Catherine
Kasper Home in Donaldson, Indiana. She was born on January 15, 1938, in South Bend, to
Bruce & Yvonne (Brollier) Spencer.
On Nov. 25, 1956, she married John M. Rowe. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 2004.
A lifetime area resident, Daniece was a Housewife and Mother. She was a member of St. Paul's
Lutheran Church in Bremen and Treasurer of the Community Hospital of Bremen Auxiliary. She
received an Achievement Award from Senator Richard Lugar and was an Election precinct poll
inspector as well as a Precinct Committee Person.
Survivors include three daughters: Diana (Craig) Schoof of Plymouth, Cindy (Terry) Cinal of
Mishawaka, Lisa (John) Scott of Bremen; one son: John (Toni) Rowe of Bremen; five
grandchildren: Kyle and Krista Schoof, Nick and Jason Scott, Hannah Rowe; three step grandchildren:
Nate, Shannon and Shane Cinal; one sister: Jeri (Duwaine) Elliott of Bremen,
mother-in-law: Olive Rowe of Bremen; two brother-in-laws; one sister-in-law and several nieces
and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John, parents, one brother: Charles
Thomas Spencer and her father-in-law Beuford Rowe.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 10, at 12:30 p.m., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 605 S.
Center St., Bremen. Pastor Neil Wonnacott will officiate. Priavte graveside services will follow at
Bremen cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 9. from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s
Lutheran Church and one hour before services on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the
Community Hospital of Bremen, or the Alzheimer's Association.

Arnesia Lynn Jackson
Arnesia (Dumplin) Lynn Jackson was born Aug. 2, 1972 to the union of Harvey and Beverly
Jackson. She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age in Rochester.
Arnesia was and will always be a continuous gift in the lives she touched.
Arnesia joined New Life Celebration Church of God, Feb. 1, 1998 where she served on the
Koinonia Ministry, Greeters Ministry, and her passion she held for the choir; she sung in the
Voices of Celebration Choir. Arnesia has so many certificates presented to her from New Life
Celebration Church of God. Her dedication to her church was of immeasurable passion. She
always looked forward to traveling with her church choir and the yearly picnics. One of her
special favorites was going to the women’s retreat. At this years retreat, last weekend, Arnesia
was recognized for her special gift cards that she placed on every table for all the ladies.
Arnesia was a special person and she lived her life in preparation for this day.
Arnesia graduated from Culver Jr. Sr. High School in 1990, where she continued her education
at Ivy Tech State College, where she studied computer literature. Besides from being a joy to her
family Arnesia had a very special bond with her grandparents, Pearlie and Eldee Norman, who
were there when she was born and there when she departed this life. Not only did she love her
granddiddy and grandmommie she cherished them with the utmost respect. Though her life was
short her love was long, and everlasting from her soul.
Arnesia leaves to cherish her memories and strength, her father and mother Harvey and Beverly
Jackson; four brothers: Harvey III of Kewanna, Joshua L. (Greta) of Kewanaa, David L.
(Katrina), of Rochester and Michael L., of Rochester; four sisters: Nianna of Chicago, Ill.,
Michelle L. of Indianapolis, Vanessa L., of South Bend and Phyllinga L., of Rochester; maternal
grandparents, Pearlie and Eldee Norman, of Blue Island, Ill; and a host of uncles, aunts,
nephews, nieces, cousin, and friends that was as special to her as her family.
Arnesia was preceded in death by her twin sisters, Sandra Ann, and Wanda Renee and her
loving paternal grandmother Rosie Lee Howell-Martinez.
Services will be Saturday, May 5, 2007. Viewing is from 10 to 11 a.m. with services from 11 a.m.
to noon at New Life Celebration Church of God, at 14243 South Dante Avenue, Dolton, IL 60419.
Doty Nash Funeral Home, Chicago, Ill., is in charge of the arrangements.

Helen L. Kirkley
PLYMOUTH — Helen L. Kirkley, 83, a life time area resident, living in River Park since 1994,
died of natural causes in her residence at 7:03 a.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2007.
She was born in Plymouth, the daughter of Paul R. and Bernice A. Casper Berger on July 12,
1923. She graduated from LaPaz High School with the class of 1941, and Elkhart Business
College.
On Dec. 17, 1944, in Plymouth, Helen and Robert E. Kirkley were married . Bob died in February
of 2000.
The couple farmed for two years before moving to Plymouth where Bob worked with his uncle as
a well driller for several years. After a few more years, when television came on the market,
Helen worked with her husband, first in a television sales, repair, and tower store, followed by
the development and growth of the Pi-Rod Tower Co.
A homemaker, she worked in the successful business for more than 20 years.
She was a great conversationalist and loved talking with her family and friends. She especially
enjoyed playing cards at the River Park club house.
Helen enjoyed reading, crocheting and crafting hand towels. She was a whiz at crossword
puzzles.
A member of the Hospital Auxiliary, Helen volunteered at the hospital gift shop.
A member of the Friendly 30 Home Demonstration Club, she served as past president of the
Marshall County Genealogical Society.
Helen is survived by her five children, three daughters and two sons. Her daughters are Cynthia
M. (Patric) Smith, Flowery Branch, Ga.; Susan E. (Jerry) Fish, Lawrenceville, Ga.; and Patricia
A. Kirkley, Dallas, Ga.
Her sons are William L. (Betsy) Kirkley, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Robert P. (Cindy) Kirkley,
Mishawaka.
Ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive, together with a sister, Ruth
(Bernard) Schrome, Lakeville, Ind., and a brother, Clifford R. (Loretta) Berger, Plymouth, Ind.
Several nieces and nephews survive as well.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband and Lorraine A. Kirkley, a daughter-in-law.
Friends are invited by her family to celebrate the life of Helen Kirkley on Thursday, May 10, 2007,
from 3 to 8 p.m., and after 7 a.m. on Friday, May 11, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home,
1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services for Helen will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2007, in the funeral home. The
Rev. Rustin Krapfl, pastor of the Sunrise Chapel where Helen was a member, will officiate.
Burial will be in New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts in Helen’s memory may be made to The Society for Progressive Supranuclear
Palsy Inc., 11350 McCormick Rd., Suite 906, Hunt Valley, MD 21031 or to the Robert E. Kirkley

Rita L. Faulstich
MONTEREY — Rita L. Faulstich, 85, a long time Monterey, Ind., resident, died of natural causes
in the Catherine Kasper Life Center at 11:20 a.m., on Tuesday, May 8, 2007.
Born in Logansport, Ind., on Jan. 8, 1922, she was the daughter of James O. and Ruth M.
(O’Herren) Daniels.
She graduated salutatorian of her 1939 Logansport High School class.
On June 12, 1940, Rita was married to Lawrence G. Faulstich in St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic
Church in Logansport. Lawrence preceded her in death on June 18, 1994. Their union was a
lifelong partnership to build the strong and loving family which was her greatest pride and love.
Providing the means for a higher education of their seven children was an important goal and
accomplishment in their lives.
Rita was a homemaker and accountant for the family farm which they tended for 66 years.
A skilled woman, she embraced the advent of computer technology and was a devotee of e-mail
as a means of keeping her extended family and friends in touch with the latest news.
She loved being with her family and following their many activities. She enjoyed all sports,
especially the Cubs, and the Irish of Notre Dame. She played a great game of Scrabble and was
an excellent card player with her various clubs.
While living in Monterey, Ind., Rita was a member of St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church. She
was a Eucharist Minister and active in the Altar Rosary Society. A warm and giving person, she
donated many hours of volunteer work to St. Anne’s Elementary School, the Katherine Casper
Life Center and the gift shop in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
Rita is survived by her seven children and families: Michael G. (Janet) Faulstich, Plymouth:
Rosemary R. Martinez, Michigan City: Ruth A. (Daniel) Hellman, Westminster, Colo.: Regina M.
(Thomas) Hudson, Tonka Bay, Minn.: Mark C. (Joyce) Faulstich, Plymouth: Rev. Matthew J.
(Cheryl) Faulstich, Hollywood, Fla. And Lawrence L. (Kay) Faulstich, Plymouth.
Twenty-nine grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren survive as
well, together with Janet Daniels, a sister-in-law in South Bend.
Preceding her in death were her husband and two brothers, Carl and Donald Daniels.
Friends will be welcomed to share memories and celebrate Rita’s life with her family on Friday,
May 11, 2007, from 3 to 8 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St.,
Plymouth. A rosary will be prayed at 7:30 that evening.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Rita will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2007, in St.
Michael’s Catholic Church, Plymouth. The Rev. Father William Kummer will officiate.
Burial will follow in St. Anne’s Catholic cemetery, Monterey, Ind.
The family suggests memorial contributions in Rita’s name be made to Ancilla College, P.O. Box
1, Union Road, Donaldson, IN 46513 or to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 610
N. Michigan St., South Bend, IN 46601.

Esther Irene Kopka
ARGOS — Esther Irene Kopka, 74, of 313 N. Grove St. Argos, passed away at 9:35 a.m. on
Tuesday, May 8 at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, following a six-month
illness.
She was born on Dec. 4, 1932 in Headley, Ind. To Arthur “Doc” and Lora (Wakeman) Clingler.
She had lived in Argos for 35 years coming from Winamac. She retired from United Technology
of Plymouth where she was a union steward. She was also a member of IBEW Local Union #153.
She is survived by two daughters: Linda (Terry) Gordon of Logansport and Lenora Kopka of
Argos; four grandchildren: Honey (Michael) Copeland of Greenwood, Cody Kopka of
Logansport, T.J. Gordon of Kokomo and Jessica Gordon of Walton; one niece, Andrea (John)
Turner of Logansport; one nephew, Allen Clingler of Indianapolis; and a sister-in-law, Gayhart
Kimbrel of Logansport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Andrew (Bud) and Floyd Clingler; and
one sister, Junea Kay Clingler.
Friends may visit with the family Thursday, May 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman
Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 10 at the funeral home with Rev. Rob Mace
officiating.
Burial will be at Alexander Heinemann Memorial (Ora cemetery) in Ora.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Plymouth Office,
10872 Queen Rd., Plymouth, IN 46563 or the Arthritis Foundation, IN Chapter 8660 Guion Rd.,
Indianapolis, IN 46268. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos.

Darwin Monesmith
ETNA GREEN — Darwin Monesmith, 76, a resident of 5379 N. State Road 19 Etna Green, went
to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 10:37 a.m. in Parkview Hospital of Fort Wayne.
He passed away from injuries from a fall on Monday at his home.
Darwin was born the son of Henry Monesmith and Vera Young Monesmith on Jan. 9, 1931 at
Bourbon. He had been a resident of the Bourbon and Etna Green area all his life.
He was joined in marriage on Feb. 1, 1951 to Geraldine Hoffer, who survives, along with his
children; David (Harv) and Kathy Monesmith of Bourbon, Michael and Gloria Monesmith of
Warsaw, Cheryl and Jeff Heck of Mishawaka and Darlene and Leo Mangus of Plymouth. He
was also blessed with seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a sister Marilee and Richard
Holdeman and a brother Don and Lois Monesmith, all of Bourbon.
Oar was a graduate of the class of 1949 from Bourbon High School. He graduated from DeVry
Institute with a degree in Electrical Engineering and from R.E.T.S. Technical Institute with his
degree in Solid State Electronics. He also completed RCA Broadcast Technical Training.
He retired in 2000 with more than 50 years as a Broadcasting Engineer for TV stations WSJV
(CH 28) and WHME (CH46). He also owned and operated a TV repair business for many years
and was a part-time farmer. After his retirement, he enjoyed his job of transporting motor homes
for New Mar Corporation of Nappanee.
Oar was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Bremen. He also was recipient of a
Lifetime Membership of the Society of Broadcasting Engineers. He enjoyed going camping,
riding his Honda Gold Wing, working with computers and electronics as well as he was licensed
with the FCC as a Amature Ham Radio Operator.
Funeral services to celebrate Darwin’s life will be held on Saturday, May 12 at 1 p.m. in the
Tippecanoe Community Church, 2920 18B Rd with Dr. David Turner and Rev. Jerry Smith,
Pastor of First Baptist Church of Bremen officiating.
There will be a time of visiting and sharing memories with the family on Friday, from 2 to 8 p.m.
at the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, IN 46504, also for one hour
before services in the church on Saturday.
Burial will take place in Etna Green cemetery at Etna Green.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Etna Green First Responders or American Cancer
Society in his memory.
Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Jeffrey Scott Piper
INGRAM, Texas — Jeffrey Scott Piper, 50, of Culver and Ingram, Texas, died on Thursday, May
10 in his mother’s home.
He is survived by his wife, D’Ann; son, Harley; daughter, Ashley; stepdaughter, Regan and
husband, Mike; stepson, Corey and wife, Stacie; mother, Dorothy Piper of Ingram, Texas; father,
James (Joann) Piper of White Plains, Ky.; sisters: Lucretia (Terry) Parker and Kimberly (Everett)
Moore; brothers: Michael (Cindy) Piper and Eric (Deleana) Piper; and six step grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, May 13.
Memorials may be made to Shepherd’s Chapel, P.O. Box 416, Gravette, AR 72736.
