PLYMOUTH — Mark L. Bunn, 41, of Plymouth, died on Tuesday, March 6 at 7:15 p.m. at Saint
Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend.
He is survived by his daughter, Amber Bunn of Bremen; son, Aaron Bunn of Bremen; and
sisters: Karen (Dwayne) Potter of Plymouth and Patty Bunn of Plymouth.
There will be no visitation or funeral service.
Van Gilder Funeral Home, Plymouth, is in charge of the arrangements.
Gerald T. Wagner
WINAMAC — Gerald T. "Jerry" Wagner, 63, of Winamac, died on Tuesday, March 6 at Starke
Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; daughters: Dawn (Shawn) Wagner of Romeo, Mich., Heather
(Dan) Kowalski of Michigan, Becky (Rob) Clarke of Australia, Edith (Rick) Johns of Buffalo,
Tammy (Tim) Floyd of Winamac and Tina Cress of Lucerne; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 9 at 3 p.m. (EST) at Fellowship Baptist Church,
Winamac. Cremation will take place.
Memorials may be made to the family.

BREMEN — Leona Spencer, 76, of Bremen, died at 5:12 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7 at home.
She is survived by sons: Luther (Christina) Spencer of Bremen, Phillip (Linda) Spencer of
Bremen, Anthony Spencer of Bremen and Douglas Spencer of South Bend; daughters:
Samantha Troxel of South Bend, Doris Jean Latham of South Bend, Sandra (Keith) Schutz of
LaPaz and Marilyn (Stoney) Cunningham of Plymouth; brothers: Luther Wright of Boston, Mass.,
Ford Wright of Carlisle, Ohio and Virgil Wright of Bremen; sisters: Ruby Campbell and Imogene
Wilder, both of Jackson, Ky.; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Friday, March 9 from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.
Funeral services are Saturday, March 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Bremen cemetery.

Della Elizabeth Drake
LAKELAND, Fla. – Della Elizabeth Drake, 88, formerly of Plymouth, died at 5:30 p.m. on
Thursday, March 8, 2007 in the Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy R. (Ed) Criswell of Lakeland, Fla.; son, David A.
(Charlotte) Drake of Bonita Springs, Fla.; five granddaughters; sisters: Jean Michalski and
Patricia A. Sporner, both of Plymouth; and brothers: Kenneth L. (Mary Ann) Luse of Plymouth
and Wayne A. (Viola) Luse of Monon.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 and after 7 a.m. Thursday until time of services
at 11 a.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth.
Burial will follow in the New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, Bremen, or the Marshall County
Cancer Fund.
James Conrad "JC" Myer
HEMET, Calif. — A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Hemet Valley
Mortuary for James C. Myer, 74, of Hemet, Calif. Inurnment will be private at Riverside National
cemetery.
JC was born on Nov. 4, 1932 in South Bend and he passed away on March 8, 2007 at Hemet
Valley Medical Center.
JC lived in Hemet for 44 years. He owned a computer billing company for 20 years. He was a
member of the American Military Society, DAV, Soboba Springs Country Club and AARP. He
was an avid golfer (one hole in one), avid bowler (two 300 games), a model railroader and an
avid card player. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Patti, ” his daughter, Tamara Lynn Barts of Bremen; his sons:
Kelly J. Myer of Bremen and James C. Myer Jr. of Maple Valley, Wash.; his stepson, Jeffrey
Weed; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ron
Myer. Services entrusted to the care of Hermet Valley Mortuary.
Faith D. Crull
LEITERS FORD — Faith D. Crull, 72, of Leiters Ford, died March 9, at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Clinton “Bud” Crull of Leiters Ford, her daughter Angel Crull of
Leiters Ford; sons: Nathan and Joy Crull of Phoenix, Ariz. and John “Chewy” and Debbie Crull of
Leiters Ford; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation and services will be private.
Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Relay For Life in her name.
Arrangements are being handled by the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester.
Clyde L. Alderfer
TIPPECANOE — Clyde L. Alderfer, 71, of 7987 North S.R. 25, Tippecanoe, died at 4 p.m. on
Saturday, March 10 at home. He had been in failing health for two years. He was born on Aug.
19, 1935 in Fulton County to Carl and Ruth (Ault) Alderfer. On Nov. 17, 1956 in Wabash, he
married
Patricia Ann Mellinger. She died May 7, 1979.
Living in this area most all of his life, he was a farmer and loved his green and yellow. He was
also a maintenance man for the former Dytronic Company in Leesburg, where he retired. He
was a disabled veteran of the Army National Guard. He was also a life member of the American
Legion in Plymouth and he was past commander of the Disabled American Veterans Marshall
County Chapter 42.
He is survived by three daughters: Beverly (Calvin) Davis of Pierceton, Carol Walton of
Indianapolis and Lisa Alderfer of Palestine; two sons: David (Brenda) Alderfer of Mentone and
Dennis Alderfer of Mentone; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Connie
Alderfer of Warsaw; three sisters: Ruby (Earl) Thompson of Mentone, Mary Bruce of Mentone
and Phyllis (Don) Schuster of LaPorte; and four brothers: Merl (Julie) Alderfer of Laketon, Myron
Alderfer of Rochester, Howard (Alberta) Alderfer of Warsaw and Wayne (Labina) Alderfer of
Cromwell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; a son, Daniel Alderfer on Sept. 8, 2004; three
brothers: Fred, Earl and Lloyd Alderfer; and one sister, Jessie Armstrong.
Visitation is Wednesday, March 14 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at King Memorial Home, 101 N.
Tucker St., Mentone.
Funeral services are Thursday, March 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Thomas
Harman officiating.
Burial will be at the Mentone cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted at the
cemetery by the American Legion Post 49 and the VFW, both of Warsaw.

Valeria M. Krathwohl
PLYMOUTH — Valeria M. Krathwohl, 89, of 805 Baker St., #50, Plymouth, died Saturday, March
10, 2007 at 11:35 a.m. in her home.
She is survived by her son, Fredrick Krathwohl of Plymouth.
There will be no visitation or funeral service.

KNOX — Delorace Sons, 71, of Knox, died on Saturday, March 10 at Wintersong Village
Nursing Home.
She is survived by sons: Roger Sons of Plymouth, Jerry Sons of Hamlet, Clarence Sons of
Grovertown and Herman Lee Vires of Salyersville, Ky.
Funeral services were Wednesday, March 14 at 11 a.m. at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox.
Burial was at Round Lake cemetery.
Alice Lucille Walker
WALKERTON — Alice Lucille Walker, 87, of Walkerton, died Sunday, March 10, at Miller’s
Merry Manor in Walkerton.
She is survived by two sons: Eugene J. Walker of Walkerton and John A. Walker of Palm Coast, Fla.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 at Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton.
Services are Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Walkerton First Presbyterian Church.
Evelyn Pauline Showalter
LAKELAND, Fla. — Evelyn Pauline “Polly” (Troyer) Showalter, of Lakeland, Fla., died March 11,
2007. Born June 19, 1916 in Marion, to Harve and Della (Turner) Troyer, she was the last
survivor of five sisters; two brothers died as infants. She was a 1935 graduate of Walton High
School in Walton.
She married
Earl Isaac Showalter, son of Ross and Hazel M. (Phares) Showalter, on Aug. 4,
1935. They had three daughters: Linda Irene (Kenneth J.) Balthaser of Fort Wayne, Marletta
Antoinette “Tony” (Roger M.) Crouch of Lakeland, Fla. and Suzette Elaine (Frederic deceased)
Harden of Parrish, Fla.
After raising their family near Plymouth, they owned a craft shop, Polly’s Playhouse, in the
Farmers’ Market in South Bend, prior to making their retirement home in Bradenton, Fla.
Following her husband’s death in 1983, she volunteered for the Westside Christian Church
“Helping Hands” group and several other organizations. For many years, she made a crocheted
blanket for each newborn baby at her church.
A gifted artist, she specialized as an egger while excelling in a number of crafts; and she enjoyed
teaching people of all ages. Upon moving to Lakeland, Fla., she focused her volunteer activities
at the schools where her daughter Tony taught. Known to the children as “Grandma Polly, ” her
wheelchair was a familiar and welcome sight at both Blake and Dr. Roberts elementary schools.
She was honored by the Polk County School Board both as Northwest Area Volunteer of the
Year in 2000-2001 and as Northwest Area Senior Volunteer of the Year in 2003-2004.
Her organization affiliations included Business and Professional Women, the National Egg Art
Guild and the Isobel Taylor Invitational Egg Organization made up of eggers from east of the
Mississippi River.
In addition to her three daughters, she is survived by four grandsons: Timothy Earl (Tylene)
Crouch, Roger Todd (Theresa Goodelle) Crouch, Lance Robert Harden and Victor Frederic
Harden; two great-grandsons: Jordan Timothy Crouch and Isaac Earl Agustus Crouch; and a
number of cousins, nieces and nephews.
A member of North Lakeland Presbyterian Church, 6725 N. Socrum Loop Rd., Lakeland, FL
33809, she requested donations to the church building fund in lieu of flowers.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 2 p.m. at the church
with a reception following the service; arrangements by Gentry-Morrison, Northside Chapel,
Lakeland.
Lester W. Zeller
ROCHESTER — Lester W. Zeller, 85, of Rochester, died at 8:25 p.m. on Sunday, March 11 at
Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie R. Zeller of Rochester; daughters: Nancy (Ed) Bowman of
Fort Wayne, Joyce (Chuck) Skinner of Lynn Haven, Fla., Carol (Ray) Huph of Henderson, Nev.,
Sharon (Doug) Harried of Trenton, Ill. and Judy (Jerry) Lewis of Rochester; 16 grandchildren and
22 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Esther Crabill of Fort Wayne; and brother, Robert Zeller
Visitation is Wednesday, March 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Thursday at
the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester.
Funeral services are Thursday, March 15 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Rochester IOOF cemetery. The LeRoy Shelton American Legion and the
Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct military graveside rites.
