Zane S. Triplet
July 31, 1989 - July 9, 2007
Zane S. Triplet, 17, of Bremen, IN passed away 1:39 p.m., Monday, July 9, 2007 in Bremen Community Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on July 31, 1989 in Mishawaka, IN to Tony and Sherri (Dutoi) Triplet.
Zane is survived by his parents, Tony and Sherri Triplet of Bremen, IN; a brother, Zachary S. Triplet at home; maternal grandparents, Dale & Marilyn Dutoi of Bremen, IN; paternal grandparents, Charles F. and Judy Triplet Jr. of Culver, IN; uncles and aunts, David & Rachel Dutoi of Bremen, IN, Debbie & John Warwick of Bluffton, IN and Victor & Tina Triplet of South Bend, IN. A sister, Zoie passed away with Zane as the result of the automobile accident and a paternal grandmother, Mildred Triplet also preceded him.
Zane was a student at LaVille High School entering his senior year. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church where he was a server. Zane played basketball and golf. He also played soccer at LaVille and soccer in a Plymouth league. Zane belonged to the Union Township 4-H where he was the township ambassador and played in the Marshall County Jr. Golf Tour.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2007 in St. Matthew Cathedral, 1701 Miami Road, South Bend, IN. Rev. Tom King, C.S.C. will officiate. Burial will follow in Lambs Settlement, Bremen. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2007 in the LaVille High School gymnasium, 69969 U.S. 31 South, Lakeville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to the Scholarship Fund in memory of Zane and Zoie Triplet at any 1st Source Banking Center.
Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville is assisting the family with arrangements.
David P. Brown
December 22, 1948 - July 8, 2007
David Paul Brown, 58, of Kilgore, TX, formerly of Mishawaka, IN passed away Sunday, July 8, 2007 at University of Texas Health Care, Tyler, TX. David was born on December 22, 1948 in Mishawaka, IN to Robert F. and Lucille (Janick) Brown and moved to Texas 30 years ago.
David is survived by his mother, Lucille Brown of Mishawaka; his father, Robert F. Brown of Elkhart; his aunt, Phyllis Dickerson of South Bend; and his companion, Anita Holcomb of Kilgore.
David served his country in the United States Navy. He was employed by Erickson Transport Co. in Texas as a truck driver.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend, IN. Rev. Pat Somers, pastor of Evangel Heights United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 PM Monday in the funeral home.

John Thomas Hammons
August 19, 1929 - July 8, 2007
John Thomas Hammons, 77, residing in South Bend, passed away at 11:11 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2007 in Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
He was born August 19, 1929 in Truman, Arkansas, as the son of John Dill & Elsie (Murphy) Hammons, and has lived in South Bend for 55 years.
On May 16, 1952 in Truman, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Glenna D. Brashers, who preceded him in death on October 22, 1994. He was also preceded in death by a son, George (Ronnie) Hammons on May 6, 1987, and a sister, Janis Rich in 1987.
Mr. Hammons retired as a welder from the Bendix Corp. following more than 32 years of service. He loved to play pool, and was active with several pool leagues. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by three daughters, Linda (Steven Sr.) Wujcikowski and Donna (Floyd) Conley of South Bend, and Sherry (Don) Barnes of Mishawaka, a son, Barry Hammons of South Bend, thirteen grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are five sisters, Norma Joy Kring, Bonnie Mills, Reba Daisy, Lola Barr, and Shirley Mann, and three brothers, Norman Troy Hammons, Danny Hammons, and Bob Wayne Hammons.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 12, at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Rev. Ed Erskin will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Mount Pleasant cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park.
Allen C. Nagel
February 26, 1934 - July 7, 2007
Allen C. Nagel, 73, residing in Lakeville for the past 4 years, passed away at 5:10 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at his home. Mr. Nagel was born on February 26, 1934 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Walter and Clara E. Nagel. In 1995 in Texas, he married
the former Dee J. (Akers) Summers who preceded in death on May 10, 2007.
Mr. Nagel is survived by one son, Greg (Amy) Gosnell of Lyndon Station, WI; four daughters, Cindy Conway of Rhinelander, WI, Mickie Thatcher of Lyndon Station, Mistie Gosnell of Salem, WI and Timmie Gosnell of Mundelein, IL, and eighteen grandchildren.
Mr. Nagel retired in 1971 as a Chief from the United States Navy after serving 20 years. He also served 10 years in the reserves. He proudly served his country with love and honor. Mr. Nagel was also an electrical engineer with G.D. Searle Company.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan Street, Lakeville where friends may visit with the family two hours prior to services. Military graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11th at the Millburn cemetery, Old Mill Creek, IL.

Gloria M. Van Skyhawk
July 24, 1928 - July 5, 2007
Gloria M. Van Skyhawk, 78, of Mishawaka, IN passed away at 2:45PM Thursday, July 5, 2007 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. She retired from Cardinal Nursing Home after 19 years of service as a Nurse's Aide. She was born on July 24, 1928 in South Bend, IN to Ray E. and Bertha Irene (Kelley) Livengood and was a lifelong resident. On April 26, 1946 she married
Wayne F. Van Skyhawk who preceded her in death on January 15, 1974.
Mrs. Van Skyhawk is survived by her daughter, Cheri Siebert of Mishawaka; two sons, Dave Van Skyhawk of Osceola and Dennis Van Skyhawk of Rosemount, MD; five grandchildren, Kristie Grontkowski, Tim Grontkowski, Trish Van Skyhawk, Katie Brown and Ryan Grontkowski; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Mary Aliff of Indianapolis, Irma Headlee, Ruthie Hertel and Martha Albright all of South Bend. Her parents and four brothers, Ralph, Robert Clell and Jack Livengood all preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00PM Monday in the funeral home.

Cherryl L. Hardy
BREMEN — Cherryl L. Hardy, 59, of Bremen, died Jan. 1 at her residence.
She is survived by her husband Rick of Bremen; two daughters: Traci and Jay Stoneburner of
Bremen and Margo and Danny Aukerman of Bremen; her father, Otto and Verda Bussanmas of
South Bend; one sister, two step-brothers; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 S.R. 331, Bremen.
Services will be Thursday at 10?30 a.m. with Pastor Chuck Kreig officiating, at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Bremen cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association of
the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Danna G. Livinghouse
PLYMOUTH — Danna G. Livinghouse, 56, of 222 Parkview St., Plymouth, left us to be with her
Lord and Savior, on Monday, Jan. 1, 2007 at 5:35 a.m. at the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home,
Plymouth.
Danna was born on Aug. 24, 1950, in Plymouth, to Roy and Ernesteen “Tiny” (Anderson)
Livinghouse. She is survived by her mother, Ernesteen “Tiny” Livinghouse; her son, Mark
Randall “Randy” Livinghouse of Lakeland, Fla.; her twin sister, Glenna Livinghouse of Arizona;
her sisters: Sandra (Rod) Fry of Plymouth and Merijo Livinghouse of Plymouth; her brother, Mark
Livinghouse of Plymouth; five nieces; two nephews; three, great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Livinghouse.
The Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison St., Plymouth, has been entrusted with the
arrangements. Private family services will be held.
James W., Sr. Budd
WALKERTON — James W. Budd Sr., 73, of Timothy Trail in Walkerton, passed away at 5:53
p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007 in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center/Plymouth after an
extended illness.
Jim was born on Dec. 7, 1933 in Winamac and resided in the area all his lifetime. On Feb. 19,
1960, he married
Virginia Louise Carroll in Michigan City.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; a daughter, Pamela Sue Garab of Walkerton; two
sons: James W. (Theresa) Budd Jr. and Gregory L. (Margaret) Carroll Sr., both of Plymouth; a
brother, Edward Budd of Goodland; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, whom he
loved and cherished.
Mr. Budd was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Hilda (Poor) Budd; two sons: Jerry E.
and Larry LeRoy Budd; three sisters: Alice Burns, Lois Imel and Mary Carmany; and two
brothers: LeRoy Budd and Elmer Budd.
Mr. Budd was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of
the American Legion Post 289 in Walkerton, the VFW and the IOOF Lodge in Walkerton. He
was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Walkerton.
The family would like all memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church in
Walkerton.
Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5 in Hanley & Sons Funeral Home,
Walkerton Chapel, located at 1216 Roosevelt Rd., Walkerton.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6 in the funeral home with Pastor D.O.
VanDyne officiating. Burial to follow at Woodlawn cemetery, Walkerton. North Liberty VFW Post
1954 will have military graveside services.

Robert C., Sr. Richards
PLYMOUTH — Robert C. Richards Sr., 79, 20284 Lincoln Highway, Plymouth, died at 1:38 p.m.
on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, of an apparent
unexpected heart attack.
Robert was born the son of John H. Sr., and Riddie (Gilliam) Richards in Rogersville, Tenn., on
Dec. 16, 1927. There he was raised and graduated from Rogersville High School.
On Jan. 21, 1949, in Bloomington, Ill., Robert and Marjorie E. Stoddard were married
. Marjorie
died on Aug. 23, 2006.
Robert was self-employed. A known ‘workaholic, ’ he was the owner-operator of Richard’s Saw
Mill for more than 40 years.
He played the guitar and sang in his younger years and always enjoyed music. His favorite breed
of horse was the Appaloosa.
Barbara Lynn Beville
PLYMOUTH — Barbara Lynn Beville, 62, of Ft. Wayne, formerly of Knox, died at 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 3 in Lutheran Hospital of natural causes.
Survivors include her two brothers: David C. Beville of Ft. Wayne and Dennis W. and wife
Francie Beville along with her niece Sarah A. Beville and great nephew Evan Joseph Beville, all
of Plymouth. Three aunts and cousins also survive.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. (E.S.T.) Saturday, Jan.6 in the Crown Hill cemetery at
Knox. There will be no visitation.
Preferred are memorial gifts in Barbara’s memory to the Marshall-Starke Development Center,
St. Michael School or charity of the donor’s choice.
