William J. Hostetler
PLYMOUTH — William J. Hostetler, 85, of 2403 Michigan Rd., Plymouth, passed away at 6:15
a.m. Dec. 4, 2007 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Walkerton after an extended illness.
He was a retired salesman of construction materials for many years in the St. Joseph County
area. He was born Aug. 31, 1922 in South Bend and lived in Plymouth since 1981 coming from
North Liberty where he lived most of his life.
He was married
Dec. 28, 1984 in North Liberty to Peggy I. Witt, who survives along with one son,
Shane of North Liberty; two daughters: Ginger (Robert) Micinski and Nadine Moore, both of
South Bend; two grandchildren; Michael and Elisha Hostetler; and a great-granddaughter, Molly
Hostetler, all of North Liberty.
There will be no visitation or services. Cremation will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are by the A.M. Manuel Funeral Home, North Liberty.
A. Ralph Krulik
WALKERTON — A. Ralph Krulik, 59, of Walkerton, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007 at Memorial Hospital,
South Bend.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela; daughters: Carrie (Todd) Botset and Cammie Krulik, all of
Koontz Lake; sons: Christopher (Marla) Krulik of Knox, Crew Krulik of Plymouth, Curtiss (Lisa)
Krulik of Bremen, Cory Krulik and Casey Krulik, both of Koontz Lake; mother, Patricia Krulik of
Fort Myers, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and three sisters.
Visitation is Friday, Dec. 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. CST at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake
Chapel, and Saturday at the church after 10 a.m.
Funeral services are Saturday, Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. CST at the Walkerton United Pentecostal
Church.
Burial will be at Fletcher cemetery, Hamlet.
Wanda Joy Lobough
Wanda Joy Lobough, 75, of Plymouth, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died Dec. 4, 2007
in Indianapolis. She was born in Oklahoma City, Okla. to John W. and Trellace Margaret
McCallon Purvis. Wanda was the widow of John Lobough. She was preceded in death by her
three sons and two brothers.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret Miller; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren
A private service is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Bruno D. Skever
PLYMOUTH — Bruno D. Skever 93, of W. 3rd Road, Plymouth, formerly of Chicago, Ill., died
Dec. 4, 2007 in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
The son of Peter and Adele Skever, Bruno was born Sept. 18, 1914 in Chicago, Ill.
Bruno was married
to Juanita, whom preceded him in death. After graduating high school he
proudly served in the United States Army and went on to retire as a machinist.
His favorite pastime was ballroom dancing.
Bruno is survived by a son-in-law, Arthur Bikneris of Plymouth; four grandchildren and their
families, Melanie & Steven Dove with children Dalton, Austin, and Lauren of Plymouth; Lori &
Tony Faucett with children Anthony and Kyle of Etna Green; Jim & Brooke Bikneris with children
Olivia, Ava, and Amelia of SouthSide, Ala.; Dave Bikneris with fiancee Jennifer Stough of
Plymouth; and a sister-in-law Violet Vaitis of Chicago, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, daughter, Joyce Bikneris, sister, Ona Skever,
and brother, Pete Skever.
A time of remembrance and sharing with the family will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007 from 3:30
to 5:30 p.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow immediately
at 5:30 p.m. Pastor Barry Faucett of New Hope Wesleyan Church, Columbia City, will officiate.
Burial will take place at a later date in St. Casimir Lithuanian cemetery, Chicago, Ill.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Juanita L. Christy
PLYMOUTH — Juanita L. Christy, 76, died Dec. 5, 2007 at Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert T. Christy; daughters: Judy Schafer, Pamela Kollar and
Lori Vogt; sons: Thomas, Jerry and Rick; 13 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren;
one step great-grandson; and sisters: Norma Shirley, Muriel Garrett and Carol
Jensen.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9 at Olive Branch United Brethren Church,
Lakeville. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville and one
hour prior to services at church on Sunday.
Burial will follow at Porter Rae cemetery.
James Dale Pritsch
PLYMOUTH — James Dale Pritsch, 80, of 325 S. Michigan, Plymouth, passed away
Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at 8:52 a.m. at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
Dale was born on July 18, 1927, in Plymouth, to Willard and Bertha Naomi (Thomas) Pritsch.
Dale graduated from Plymouth High School in the Class of 1945. He joined the Navy, and
served his country, in WWII and Korea. Dale and Helen Myers were married
on Jan. 24, 1976.
Dale retired from Fullerton Sheet Metals Company in Northbrook, Ill. He spent his free his time
reading, fishing, golfing, bowling and doing woodworking.
Dale was a member of the V.F.W. Post #1162 and was the Past Quartermaster and Past
Commander of the Post. He also belonged to the American Legion Post #27, of Plymouth, and
Plymouth Kilwinning Lodge #149.
Dale is survived by his wife, Helen; his sons: James Pritsch of Cocoa, Fla., Garold Pritsch of Hot
Springs, Ark. And Ronald Pritsch of St. Petersburg, Fla.; his sister, Ruth Ann Schrock of Elkhart;
three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at the Van Gilder Funeral
Home, Plymouth, with the Rev. Dr. Ronald Liechty officiating. Burial will be in New Oak Hill
cemetery, Plymouth. The V.F.W. Post #1162 will present Dale with military honors at the
graveside service.
A time of visiting with Dale’s family and friends, will be on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, from 2 to 5 p.m.
at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563.
Memorial contributions may be given to the choice of the donor.
John J. Crum
PLYMOUTH — John J. Crum, 75, of Plymouth, died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor I. of Plymouth; son, John Lydeen of South Bend; daughter,
Robin McNeeley of Michigan City; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother,
Robert Crum.
There will be no visitation or services at this time. Burial will take place at a later date.

WINAMAC — James J. Brettin, 77, of Winimac, formerly of Knox, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 at
his home.
He is survived by his wife, Vaneada (Wolters) Brettin; two children: Mark R. Brettin of DeLand,
Fla. And Diane Kreighbaum of Plymouth; a sister: Marge Schuster of Knox; four brothers: John,
Richard, Tim and Matt all of Knox and one granddaughter: Adreinne Kreighbaum.
Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at M.C. Smith Funeral Home, Knox. Funeral
services will take place Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Winimac
with viewing one hour prior at the church.
Burial will follow at Crown Hill cemetery, Knox. Memorials may be made to St. Luke Lutheran
Church or the Pulaski County Hospice.
Irene R. Dickson
VALPARAISO — Irene R. Dickson, 91, of Valparaiso, formerly of Hamlet, died Dec. 7, 2007 at
Wispering Pines Health Center, Valparaiso after an illness.
She is survived by two daughters: Betty (Wayne) Munyon of Kingman, Az., and Kathleen (Klyde)
Blackman of Valparaiso; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandhild.
Visitation took place Sunday, Dec. 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Rannels Funeral Home Inc., Hamlet
Chapel.
Funeral services will take place Monday, Dec. 11 at noon and burial will follow at Fletcher
cemetery, Hamlet.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wispering Pines Hospice, Valparaiso.
Beulah J. Fagan
KNOX — Beulah J. Fagan, 76, of Knox, died Dec. 7, 2007 at her home as a result of an illness.
She is survived by two daughters: Eve (Steve) Howard of Plymouth and Kathleen (Paul) Hale of
Knox; a son: Pete (Sharon) Fagan of Knox; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and
one brother: Kenneth Ross Sr. of Hamlet.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 11 a.m. Wednesday at
Rannells Funeral Home Inc. Hamlet Chapel.
Funeral services will take place Wednesday, Dec. 12 at noon and burial will follow at Fletcher
cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Starke County Hospice, Knox.
Howard E. Humes
OAK GROVE — Howard E. Humes, 67, of Knox, died Dec. 7, 2007 at Starke Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his wife Doris of Knox; a son, Rick (Sheila) Humes of Knox; two daughters,
Tina (Rodney) Jacobs of Plymouth and Cynthia (Huey) Miller of Grovertown; two brothers:
James (Joan) Humes of Knox and Ronald (Gerri) Humes of Plymouth; and a sister: Ann
(Leonard) Messer of Knox.
Visitation will take place Monday, Dec. 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Braman & Son Memorial
Chapel.
Funeral services will take place Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m.
Burial will follow at Burr Oak cemetery.
Ellard "Buck" Jackson
MEDARYVILLE — Ellard "Buck" Jackson, 72, of Medaryville, died Dec. 7, 2007 at Methodist
Hospital, Indianapolis, as a result of an illness.
He is survived by wife Lynn (Lowry); two daughters: Lynell (Scott) Jackson-Moon and Rhonda
(Bill) Williams all of Avon; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters: Lois (Jim)
Fisher, Rose (Robie) Wireman and Katie Jackson all of North Judson and two brothers: Harry
"Pete" (Inez) of Plainfield and Lawrence (Ann) of Bow, Ky.
Visitation will take place on Monday, Dec. 10 at the Leisure Time Baptist Assembly Church in
Medaryville from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, Dec. at 11 a.m. at the church and burial will follow
at White Post cemetery, Medaryville. Funeral arrangements were made by Rannells Funeral
Home Inc.
