Kenneth L. South
LAKEVILLE Kenneth L. South, 81, of Lakeville, died at 11:25 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26 at Saint
Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend.
He is survived by a sister, Ellen Seltzer of South Bend and companion Michael Quinn of South
Bend.
There will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Maple
Grove cemetery, Argos.
The Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, is in charge of the arrangements.
Vivian Caldwell
LAPAZ Vivian Caldwell, 89, of LaPaz, died Tuesday, Nov. 27 at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth.
She is survived by her husband, Harvey Caldwell of LaPaz; daughter, Linda Galloway of
Mishawaka; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters: Marge Bowen of Plymouth,
Audrey Keller of Ft. Wayne and Phyllis Rinkingberg of Ft. Wayne; and a brother, Dennis Maxson
of Plymouth.
Visitation is Thursday, Nov. 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home,
Plymouth. Funeral services are Friday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at
New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Community Fellowship Ministries.
Geno B. Nannini
CULVER Geno B. Nannini, 63, of Culver, passed away at 12:10 p.m. on Nov. 27 at home with
his loving wife, Jan, by his side. Geno was born in Chicago, Ill. on Jan 14, 1944, one of four
children born to Guiseppe and Anita Nannini.
After graduating high school and attending college, he worked as a design engineer. On Dec.
20, 1974 he married
the love of his life, Jan Byas, in Chicago.
A patriotic man, Geno served in the National Guard Reserves. He was also a member of Wesley
United Methodist Church, Culver. He spent the last 20 years buying and renovating homes.
Geno is survived by his wife, Jan of Culver; daughters: Christine (Bob) Klimczak of Chicago
Heights, Ill. And Janet Kelly (George Sipich) of New Lenox, Ill.; grandchildren: Starr, Jeff, Erik,
Alex, Jordan, Jack, and Juliana; brother, Richard (Diane) Nannini of Berwyn, Ill.; and son-in-law,
Dennis Foley of Evergreen Park, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Debbie Foley, and sisters: Esther Zebig and
Theresa Simak.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007 at 2 p.m. EST at the Bonine-Odom Funeral
Home, Culver, where friends may gather to share memories with the family from 10 a.m. EST
until the service time. Rev. Bryan Siefert will officiate. Burial will follow the service at the Culver
Masonic cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
Monte L. Utter
KEWANNA Monte L. Utter, 64, of Kewanna, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 at Pulaski
Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia Utter of Kewanna; daughters: Jeanne (Kevin) Goble of
Fairmont and Misty Hayden of Logansport; son, Monte L. Utter Jr. of Marion; sister, Diana (Ken)
Garrison of Valdosta, Ga.; brothers: Stanley (Joan) Utter and Devon Utter, all of Rochester; and
three granddaughters.
Visitation is Thursday, Nov. 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Friday at the
Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester. Funeral services are Friday, Nov. 30 at 10 a.m. at the
funeral home. Burial will be at the Kewanna IOOF cemetery. Military graveside rites will be
conducted by the LeRoy Shelton American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Beatrice M. Dunsizer
Beatrice M. Dunsizer, 89, of Hilliard, Ohio, formerly of Plymouth, died Wednesday, Nov. 28,
2007, at the Millrun Rehabilitation Center in Hilliard.
Survivors include her sons: Stanley Dunsizer of Columbus, Ohio and Steven Dunsizer of
Plymouth; and her daughter, Janice Dawes of Wabash.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 at 11:30 a.m. at the Everest cemetery Chapel
in Logansport.
Van Gilder Funeral Home, Plymouth, is handling the local arrangements.
K. Douglas Feltis
K. Douglas Feltis, 86, of Fulton County, died Wednesday, Nov 28, 2007.
He is survived by a daughter, Connie Carpenter McIntosh; son, Gary D. Feltis; several
grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Monday, Dec. 3 at 11 a.m. at the Bonine-Odom Funeral Home,
Culver, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow at McKinley Gardens cemetery,
Winamac.

Robert L. Jones
PLYMOUTH Robert L. Jones, 82, of Plymouth, died Wednesday, Nov. 28 at the Catherine
Kasper Life Center, Donaldson.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Ganshorn) Jones of Plymouth; daughters: Patricia (Phil)
Nelson of Orange, Calif., Janet Willyerd of Plymouth, Cindy (Steve) Fishburn of Rochester; son,
Rick (Pamela) Jones of Plymouth; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille
Wooley of Warren, Ohio; and brothers: Charles (Joyce) Jones of Plymouth and Ralph Jones of
Donaldson.
Visitation is Saturday, Dec. 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home,
Plymouth. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Burial will be at New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorials may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
Robert E. Ferguson
SOUTH BEND Robert E. Ferguson, 80, of Niles, passed away Friday evening, November 30,
2007, surrounded by his family at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, after a brief illness.
Robert was born in Inwood, on April 28, 1927 to the late Charles and Villa Fern (Nellons)
Ferguson.
He loved his country and served proudly in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean
War.
Robert met and wed the love of his life Lena Woodlee at a ceremony in South Bend, on March 7,
1952.
Robert worked for the Bendix automotive Company for over 32 years as a riveter before retiring.
He also was very involved with the Post #26 American Legion where he counted it an honor to
perform burial rites for other veterans who have passed. He was well known by many people all
over the community because Robert never knew a stranger and could strike up a conversation
with anyone. He treasured his family and was a loving husband, wonderful father, and a
remarkable grandfather.
Preceding him were his parents, a brother Melvin Ferguson and a sister Bernice Ott.
Robert was survived by wife, Lena, his daughter Pamela of Niles, his three sons; Ronald
(Vincenza) Ferguson of Niles, Robert (Lynn) Ferguson of New Whiteland, Ind., and Rick
Ferguson of Arlington, Texas. Four brothers; Clifford (Barb) Ferguson of Plymouth, Donald
(Avalee) Ferguson of Plymouth, Lloyd (Linda) Ferguson of New Albany, Floyd (Carol) Ferguson
of Plymouth, Indiana, two sisters Violet Ham and Marjorie Albright both of Plymouth, eight
grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel from 3 to 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 12 p.m. with one hour of visitation prior at
Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, 61453 M-51 with the Reverend Billy Reed officiating.

Kenneth Dean Heckathorn
FULTON Kenneth Dean Heckathorn, 91, of Monticello, died Nov. 30, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. at
White County Memorial Hospital, Monticello.
He is survived by a daughter, Penny (Dave) Yeakley-Scott of Monon, Ind.; two sons: Freddie K.
(Marlee) Heckathorn of Celina, Ohio and Jerry D. (Rhonda) Heckathorn of Rochester; six
grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3 and one hour prior to the funeral service
Tuesday, at the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4 with burial to follow at Rochester IOOF
cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Fulton County United Ministry.
Glen D. Law
Glen D. Law, 90, of Englewood, Fla., formerly of Rochester, died Nov. 30, 2007.
Visitation will be Dec. 24 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Christ of Rochester with a memorial service
following at 11 a.m.

Mildred J. Leed
SOUTH BEND Mildred J. Leed, 74, of 327 B Woodies Lane, Bremen, passed away Friday,
Nov. 30, 2007, at 2:15 p.m., at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
Mildred was born July 7, 1933, in Pulaski, Tenn., to Albert and Katherine (McCormack) Griggs.
She worked for several factories and restaurants and made a lot of friends while working.
Gerhardt O. Leed and Mildred were married
in 1949. They had five children.
Mildred was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Plymouth.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Linda (Paul) Dyer of Culver; her son, Gary (Carol) Leed of
Walkerton; her daughter, Brenda Leed of Plymouth; her daughter, Lori (Joe) Manning of
Bourbon; her son, Mark (Angela) Leed of Plymouth; her brothers, Clifford (Joy) Griggs of
Decatur, Mich., James (Sharon) Griggs of Dowagiac, Mich., E. Wayne (Sally) Griggs of
Dowagiac, and Jack (Donna) Griggs of Dowagiac; 11 grandchildren; and 12great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Buford Griggs.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home in
Plymouth.
Burial will be in Fair cemetery, LaPaz.
A time of visiting with the family, will be on Tuesday, Dec. 4, , from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Van
Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563.
