Everett T. Zink
PLYMOUTH — Everett T. Zink, 89, of Plymouth, and formerly of Anderson, passed away Oct. 5,
2007 at the Catherine Kasper Life Center in Plymouth after an extended illness.
He was born August 21, 1918 in Rochester and graduated from Akron High School and attended
Ball State Teachers College. He served in the US Army from 1942 to 1946 and was stationed in
Ipswich, Queensland, Australia where he met his wife Patricia of 57 years. He resided in
Anderson for 38 years and had worked for Sears for 35 years before retiring and moving to
Plymouth.
He was a member of Bethany Christian Church in Anderson, president of the Anderson High
School Band Boosters and held offices in the Babe Ruth and White River Leagues. He enjoyed
the grandchildren, traveling, baseball, football and soap operas.
He is survived by two sons, Lee (wife, Judy) Zink of Plant City, Fla., and Ray (wife, Patty) Zink of
Punta Gorda, Fla.; a daughter, Sharon (husband, Chris) Collins of Plymouth; seven
grandchildren, Ryan (wife Amy) Zink and Regan Zink of Orlando, Fla.; Rich Janzaruk of Bedford;
Erin (husband, Matt) Jones of Orlando, Fla.; Lauren Zink and her fiance Rob Sporillo of North
Port, Fla., Cory (wife, Elizabeth) Collins and Cameron Collins of Plymouth; three great
grandchildren, Zoe and Riley Zink and Logan Collins; sister-in-law, Joann Zink.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia M. Zink in 2001; parents, William and Jesse
(Lemon) Zink; brothers, Ora, Charles and Harold Zink; sisters, Wilma Cook and Maxine.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home in Anderson.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at Oakhill cemetery in
Plymouth.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marshall County or Catherine Kasper Life
Center.
Yvonne Campbell
CARMEL — Yvonne Campbell, 84, of Carmel, died at 8:01 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at St. Vincent’s
Elizabeth Ann Seton Specialty Hospital, Indianapolis.
She is survived by sons: Terry (Carrie Jo) Braden and James Campbell of Carmel; and six
grandchildren.
Funeral services are Thursday, Oct. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at the Leiters Ford cemetery.
Ocie Irene Holderread
WALKERTON — Ocie Irene Holderread, 87, of 4795 Plymouth-LaPorte Trail, Walkerton, passed
away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 at 2:30 a.m. at Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
Irene was born on April 27, 1920 in Plymouth to John and Chole (Ducket) Klinedinst. Irene
married
Richard E. Holderread on Dec. 17, 1938. She enjoyed crafting, quilting, crocheting,
flowers and gardening. She loved to travel and spent many winters in Florida. She was very
active in the Blissville Church of the Brethren where she had been member of since 1933. She
was a member of the Old LaPorte Road Club until the Club ended.
Irene is survived by her husband, Richard; their daughter, Sharon (Wayne) LaFollette of
Walkerton; her grandchildren: Lisa (Kurits) Vardman of Osecloa, Rose (Robert) Tracy of South
Bend and Gary (Lynn) LaFollette of Warsaw; her great-grandsons: Brandon LaFollette, Tyler
LaFollette and Daniel LaFollette; and her great-granddaughters: Kristin LaFollette and Tori
Tracy. Irene and Richard also raised three foster children who survive. They are Gloria (Fries)
Hargarther and Richard Fries. She was preceded in death by her foster daughter, Katherine
(Fries) Meyers; her sisters: Mable Welch, Mina Klinedinst, Clare Green, Inez Klinedinst, Edna
Shaw, Tessie Oman and Mary Klinedinst; and her brothers: Ira, Ora, George, Glen and Orville.
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Blissville Church of the
Brethren, with the Rev. Dester Cummins officiating. Burial will be in the Tyner cemetery, Tyner.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300
West Madison St., Plymouth, IN 46563, and one hour prior to the service at the Church.
The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Blissville Church of the Brethren,
6250 Spruce Trail, Plymouth, IN 46563, or to the Alzheimers Association, P.O. Box 4204, South
Bend, IN 46601.
Bea Jack
WALKERTON — Bea Jack, 92, of Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton, formerly of Hamlet, passed
away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 in Walkerton.
Mrs. Jack was born June 8, 1915 in Walkerton to Frederick and Nettie (Kreighbaum) Lidecker
and lived in the area all of her life.
On July 7, 1935, in Walkerton, she was married
to Samuel R. Jack, who preceded her in death
on Dec. 8, 1978.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Elsie Morris, Vera Williams,
Helen LaFeber and Norma Dill.
Survivors include one daughter, Margo and Gene Brems of Walkerton; one son, Craig Jack of
Hamlet; two grandchildren, Tod and Julie Brems of Walkerton and Andrea and Kenny Eggleston
of Walkerton; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Ryan Eggleston and Nathan Brems; one niece,
Helen Marie Murphy of Mountain Home, Idaho and one nephew, Walter LaFeber of Ithaca, N.Y.
Mrs. Jack was a homemaker, a member of the Presbyterian Church of Walkerton and a charter
member of the Friendly Neighbors Home Ec Club of Hamlet.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. E.T. at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake
Chapel.
Burial will be at Woodlawn cemetery, Walkerton.
Friends may visit Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. E.T. and Wednesday one hour prior to services at
the funeral home.

T. Richard DeGroff
NAPPANEE — T. Richard DeGroff, 61, of Nappanee, died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007 at
Goshen General Hospital.
He is survived by his parents, Allene and Lester Mast of Nappanee; sisters: Nancy D. Dougherty
of Nappanee and Susan A. (Doug) Troyer of Walkerton; and sister-in-law, Wilma Mast of
Nappanee.
Visitation is Thursday, Oct. 11 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the First Church of God in Nappanee.
A memorial service will take place Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the church.
Cremation will take place. Graveside services with military rites will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at
Union Center cemetery, Nappanee.
Memorials may be made to the First Church of God.
Elnora O. Gibson
PLYMOUTH — Elnora O. Gibson, 89, formerly living on W. Monroe St., Plymouth, died in
Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth, at 7:50 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007. She had been a Plymouth
resident since 1933.
Born in Elkhart on July 6, 1918, she was the daughter of Daniel and Minnie Biller Wogomon.
She attended school in Syracuse.
On July 30, 1934, in Plymouth, she and Milton I. Gibson were married
. Milton died on Dec. 30,
1982.
A housewife, Elnora also had worked in Ames Department Store and Hiester’s Grocery Store for
15 years.
She enjoyed bowling and bowled with South Bend friends two days a week for a number of
years.
Elnora was a member of the Christ Church of Plymouth.
Two sons survive Elnora’s death. They are: Larry (Linda) Gibson, Dennis (Sue) Gibson all of
Plymouth.
Nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren also
survive.
Elnora was preceded in death by her husband, a son, William “Butch” Gibson, and two great-grandchildren:
Michael Richardson and Amanda Bunch.
Friends are invited to share memories and celebrate the life of Elnora Gibson from 4 to 8 p.m.
on Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St.,
Plymouth.
Funeral service for Elnora, officiated by the Rev. Larry Ferguson, will be held at 11 a.m. on
Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, in the funeral home.
Burial will be in New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts in Elnora’s memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
Roger C. Leed
BREMEN — Roger C. Leed, 74, of Bremen, passed away at 10 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007 in his
home after an illness. He was born on Nov. 8, 1932 in Plymouth to Victor Owen and Vada Lucille
(Wright) Leed. On April 27, 1966 in Plymouth, he married
the former Sandra “Sandy”
Carmichael, who survives.
Roger is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sandy; three daughters: Aimee D. Lucas of LaPaz,
Kathy and Elizabeth; three sons: Andy (Stephanie) Leed of LaPaz, Mike C. Leed of Indianapolis
and Steve Leed; eight grandchildren: Garrett, McKenzie, Mason, Levi, Savannah, Jaeden,
Morgan and Dawson; a sister, Sally (Wayne) Griggs of Dowagiac, Mich. And three brothers:
Gary Leed of LaPaz, Harvey Leed of Plymouth and Victor “Mike” (Carol) Leed of LaPaz. A
daughter, Peggy Leed and two sons, Michael David Leed and David Leed all preceded him in
death.
Roger retired from the Ironworker’s Union Local #292 in South Bend after over 40 years of
service. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion in LaPaz and enjoyed hunting,
fishing and camping. He also enjoyed working and spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007 in the Palmer Funeral Home,
314 S. Michigan St., Lakeville. Rev. Larry Dimick will officiate. Burial will follow in Fair cemetery,
North Liberty. Friends may visit with the family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the
funeral home.

IN 46563.
Gregory Joseph Novak
PLYMOUTH — Gregory Joseph Novak, 30, of Plymouth, died Sunday Oct. 7, 2007, at Saint
Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
Survivors include his children, Jeremy Joseph Novak and Brianna Nicole Novak; his parents,
Rosie M. and Bruce Topping; his grandparents, Joseph and Betty Dado, and numerous aunts,
uncles, cousins and friends.
There will be no services.
Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth, assisted the family with arrangements.
