(Shelley) Kuhn of Syracuse, In. Two nieces-Deb Paton Showley of Warsaw,In.and Kristine Paton of Lake Tippecanoe, In. Nephew Robert J. Paton of Warsaw, In. Preceded by both parents and a niece. She was born to George R. and Amelia E. (Bretz) Paton on December 22, 1938 in Indianapolis.
She married David M, Kuhn at Lake Tippecanoe on August 20, 1994.
She graduated from Leesburg High School in 1957, Manchester College and recieved a Masters Degree from Butler University.
She taught elementary school at Pike Township Elementary Schools for 43 years. She was Past Treasurer for Pike Classroom Teacher's Association and a member of the ISTA and NEA. She was Past President,Secretary, and Treasurer of Lambda Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa teaching Sorority. She was a Director for the Indiana Horse Council Foundation and a Past Director for the Indiana Horse Council. She was a founding member of the Indiana Half Arabian Horse Club and a member of the Indiana Arabian Horse Club. She was a commercial exhibit coordinator for the Hoosier Horse Fair for 25 years and a commercial exhibit coordinator for Region 13 Championship Horse Show. She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter #287. She was President and Director for Patona Bay, Inc and a Director of Lake Tippecanoe Property Owners Association.
