Howard W. Winger on December 25, 1941. He died March 5, 1995. Mrs. Winger was an English Teacher for Jr. High & Sr. High School students in the Kokomo, IN area. Later she was Director of Faith United Protestant Church Preschool in Park Forest, IL. She was also a homemaker. She is survived by four sons: John(Cindy) Winger, Oconomowoc, WI/ Michael (Jane)Winger, New York, NY/ Philip (Diana) Winger, Limestone, NY/ Robert (Annette) Winger, Chicago, IL. One daughter Elizabeth (Stephen) Kelly, Houston, TX. 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters. Lois C. Crist. She survives. Also surviving are three sons; Ty (Sonja) Knecht, Terry (Joanna) Knecht, and Todd (Judy) Knecht, all of North Manchester, IN. One daughter, Mrs. Gary (Lynn) Huddleston, Wabash, IN. One brother, Eldon (Avonne Lee) Knecht, North Manchester. Twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One grandson is deceased. Galen was a retired farmer and member of the 1945 graduating class of Chester High School, where he played on the basketball team. ADDIE A. GRAYBILL, 89, NORTH MANCHESTER, IN
Addie A. Graybill, 89, North Manchester, IN died April 9, 2008 in Parkview Huntington Hospital, Huntington, IN. She was born July 4, 1918 in Montgomery Co., OH to Alvie A. & Ida May (Rapp) Huffman. On September 14, 1936 she married
R. Kenneth Graybill Sr. He survives. At age 17, Addie was baptized into Christ, living her life as a service to Him, our Savior. She served her Master well as a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren. Anyone who knew Mother's heart knew beyond a doubt that her home was not on this earth. Addie was a homemaker, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend. She possessed a quick wit and a marvelous sense of humor that served her well throughout all her life. She has been a pleasure to care for in these last failing years. Not one to complain, Addie will be remembered for her pleasant ways and impishness she never lost even to the end. She enjoyed reading, sewing and was an excellent cook and pie baker. Said one of the children, "We were poor in worldly goods, but we ate like kings and queens." Mother always loved flowers; yellow roses being one of her favorite. Timbercrest Senior Living Center was Addie's last gracious home on earth where she will be sadly missed by the staff who loved and cared for her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Kenny Graybill Jr., Liberty Mills, IN, Riley Graybill, Eustis, FL and Everett Graybill, Osteen, FL; four daughters, Mrs. Harold (Kay) Eller, North Manchester, IN, Eileen Cook, Eldorado, OH, Mrs. Herb (Beth) Anderson, North Manchester, IN and Mrs. Rick (Cheri) Vanvassaleur, Mishawaka, IN; thirty three grandchildren, seventy great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. One great grandchild, three brothers and five sisters are deceased. There will be a private memorial service at Timbercrest Chapel. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AT 3: 00P.M. Hannelore Mueller Conrow, 75, St. Albans, WV formerly of North Manchester, IN, died January 15, 2008 in her daughter's home in St. Albans, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 13, 1932 in Magdeburg, Germany. Her first husband, Johannes Mueller and her second husband, Elwood Conrow, are both deceased. She is survived by one daughter, Christine Mueller Robinett, St. Albans, WV; five grandchildren, April Robinett, Eric Goshorn, Kimber Mueller, Amber Wheeler and Kristian Wheeler and 13 great grandchildren. Mary Anna Blocher. She survives. Also surviving are three sons; Ronald (Patricia) Bowerman, Lucedale, MS / Roger (Barbara) Bowerman, Silver Lake, IN / Dennis (Rhoda) Bowerman, Pleasant Hill, OH. Two daughters; Eva (Robert) Thompson, North Webster, IN and Janet (Larry) Teghtmeyer, Goshen, IN. One brother, Dale (Marty) Bowerman, Piqua, OH. Three sisters; Bessie Boone, Peru, IN / Doris Avery, Peru, IN / Mrs. Rex (Joan) Lowe, Kokomo, IN. Eighteen grandchildren, fifty eight great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren. Two grandchildren, one great grandchild and one sister are deceased. Paul retired from Cyclone Seeder Co. in Urbana, IN in 1987. Following retirement he was self employed in various occupations and trades. He was a member of the Church of Christ at North Manchester, and the Independent Order of Forresters. She was born June 18, 1934 in Vincennes, IN to Lewis Delbert & Beatrice Mae (Grimes) Grigsby. She graduated from Lincoln High School and Good Samaritan Hospital Nursing School, both at Vincennes. For a number of years she lived in Crawford County, IN near Alton. She formerly lived in Wabash, IN where she worked at Wabash County Hospital and in Warsaw, IN where she worked at Mason Health Care Center and attended Walnut Creek United Methodist Church. She was an active member of Delta Theta Tau sorority. Surviving are two daughters; Kathleen (Robert) Kowalski, Elgin, IL and Deborah (Ray) Stiffler, Indianapolis, IN. Four grandchildren; Janet Kowalski and Richard Kowalski, both of Elgin, IL and Megan Stiffler and Lindsey Stiffler, both of Indianapolis, IN. One sister, Nancy Spore, Mentone, IN. Leslie "Kelly" Edward McKinley, 77, North Manchester, IN and formerly of Portland, IN died March 27, 2008 in Indiana University Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. He was born September 22, 1930 in Union City, OH to Leslie & Geraldine (Bennett) Erwin. On August 12, 1950 he married
Beverly June Keister. She died November 13, 1992. He graduated from East Side High School, Union City, OH in 1948. He served in the US Navy 1947-1952 and worked at Ohio Valley Gas, Portland, IN for 12 years, 1951-1963 and then at CTS, Berne, IN for 30 years, 1963 until he retired in 1993. He was a former volunteer firefighter for the Portland Fire Dept. 1958-1978, a member of Portland Moose Lodge, North Manchester American Legion and a former member of the Elks Lodge of Portland, IN. In his retirement, he spent many hours fishing and telling fish stories with his friends at the lake cottage and dedicated his life to his grandchildren, whom he adored. He is survived by one one: Michael (Lucy) McKinley, North Manchester, IN; one daughter, Deborah (David) McCrory, Tucson, AZ; one brother, Marvin Erwin, Hillgrove, OH; two sisters, Anna Lee (Ivan) Ridenour, Springfield, OH and Maxine (Robert) Temple, Union City, IN; three grandchildren, Craig (Dawn) McCrory, San Diego, CA, Erica McKinley, North Manchester, IN and Kendra McKinley, North Manchester, IN. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.
