Jacklynn R. Hueston

ROCKVILLE -- Jacklynn Rae Hueston, 6 weeks, Rockville, died Aug. 19, 2003, in the emergency room of West Central Community Hospital in Clinton.
Survivors include her parents, William and Hesper "Sis" Branam Hueston; a brother, Billy Hueston; a sister, Annie Hueston; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Jane Hueston; maternal grandparents, Charles and Delane Branam; paternal great-grandfather, Jim Alexander of Anderson; paternal great-grandmother, Judy Campbell; maternal great-grandmother, Nina Branham and Susan Stout; many aunts and uncles; and several great-aunts and cousins.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 Howard St., Rockville, with Pastor Jerry Bates officiating. Burial will be in Memory Garden Cemetery
in Rockville.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today and before services Friday at the funeral home.
Alan R. Hunnell
March 25, 1960 -- Aug. 19, 2003
Alan R. Hunnell, 43, Anderson, died Aug. 19, 2003, at his residence after a sudden illness.
He was born March 25, 1960, in Anderson, and had returned to Anderson recently after living in Indianapolis for 10 years. He had previously been employed at Indianapolis Flooring.
He was a graduate of Anderson High School. He was a member of East Side Church of God. He was involved in Operation Love. He enjoyed studying the Bible and reading in general. He liked to watch and attend Indy Races including NASCAR and stock cars.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Patz of Anderson; children, Jessica Hunnell, Alison Hunnell and Brad Colon; stepfather, Hubert Patz of Alexandria; two sisters, Gloria and husband Paul Alison of Denver, Colo., and Linda D. Mendenhall of Anderson; a brother, Jeff Patz of Alexandria; stepbrother, David Whitney of Indianapolis; several aunts and uncles; mother of his children, Andrea (Lawson) Hunnell; several nieces and nephews including, Sandy Stansberry and her daughter Alison, David Pardue and his son Damon, Stace Pardue, Maddison Patz and Jake Patz.
Also surviving are special friends, Dale Dyer and Jack Pardue.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Hunnell, in 1991; and his stepmother, Wilma Hunnell.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour before service Friday at the South Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Operation Love or Christian Center.
Evelyn M. Lake
April 23, 1923 -- Aug. 19, 2003
INDIANAPOLIS -- Evelyn M. (Nichols) Lake, 80, died Aug. 19, 2003, in Indianapolis.
She had worked as a secretary for Eli Lilly & Co., retiring in 1951.
Survivors include her daughters, Marcia Simmermon of Lapel and Diane Barber; sisters, Margie Seaman and Juanita Johnston; brothers, Jerry Nichols and Don Nichols; and four grandchildren.
Her husband, James H. Lake, died in 1988.
Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Leppert & Hensley Mortuary, Nora Chapel, with entombment following in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Kathryn A. O'Connor
Kathryn A. O'Connor, 60, Anderson, died Aug. 20, 2003, at St. John's Medical Center. Arrangements are pending at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel.
Donald Skaggs
Feb. 4, 1936 -- Aug. 19, 2003
MADISON, Ala. -- Donald Skaggs, 67, Madison, died Aug. 19, 2003, at his residence.
He was a native of Anderson and had lived in Madison County for more than 30 years. He worked in the aerospace Industry for over 40 years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God where he was a deacon. He served as a Sunday school superintendent for more than 30 years.
He received the Jaycee of the Year award.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara M. Skaggs; two daughters, Sharon Chaffee of Fort Thomas, Ky., and Teresa Skaggs of Madison, Ala.; son, Jerry Skaggs of Clearwater, Fla.; brother, Paul Skaggs of Anderson; sister, Barbara J. White of Zephyrhills, Fla.; five grandchildren, Aubrey, Melinda, Joshua, Tucker and Macy; and a great-grandson, Ivan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth Skaggs; brother, John F. Skaggs; and sister, Wanda Ponsler.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Berryhill Funeral Home, Huntsville, Ala., with the Rev. Jeff Tankersley officiating. Burial will be in HSV Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Jaime E. Stowe
May 31, 1977 -- Aug. 19, 2003
ALEXANDRIA -- Jaime Elayne Bradley Stowe, 26, Alexandria, died Aug. 19, 2003, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born May 31, 1977, in Akron, Ohio. She was a certified nursing assistant at Community Northview Nursing Center in Anderson. She was a member of Park Place Church of God.
She was a 1995 graduate of Highland High School and attended Indiana University and Anderson University.
Survivors include her husband, Richard F. Stowe; daughter, Konner Nicole Stowe; parents, James and Judy (Craig) Bradley of Crystal Beach, Fla.; sister, Dondeena Bradley-Ramey (husband, Allen) of New York; brother, Vincent Bradley (wife, Dawn) of Fort Myers, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Park Place Church of God, Anderson, with the Rev. Iris Cole, Dr. Douglas Talley and Dr. David Coolidge officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, Anderson.
Carrie M. Wheeler
Carrie Mae Wheeler, 48, Anderson, died Aug. 20, 2003. Arrangements are pending at Gholar and Gholar Funeral Home.
June Alford
June 30, 1946 -- Aug. 8, 2003
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- June Alford, 57, of Nashville, was called to be with the Lord on Aug. 8, 2003.
She was born to Julius and Mary Ellison Sr. on June 30, 1946.
She gave herself to Christ at an early age. June was a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of East Chicago, Ind., the Rev. Dr. Vincent L. McCutcheon (Margie), pastor. She was a member of the Inspirational Choir and the Women's Missionary. She served as president of the Food Pantry, where she never turned anyone away prior to moving to Nashville, Tenn.
In 1999, June started her own business "June Enterprise." In 2000, June was one of the founding members of Old Ship of Zion M.B. Church under the leadership of the Rev. Theresa Chandler in Nashville. In Nashville, June attended Grace Covenant Baptist Church (Pastor Odie Hoover, III).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Mary Ellison Sr.; sister, Carolyn Rayford; and grandparents, Horace and Alice Slackman.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory: husband, the Rev. Eddie C. Alford; a son, Stacy Ellison (Shawnquita); three daughters, Wanda McClinton, Crystal (Donald) McClinton and Felicia (Antoine) McClinton; mother-in-law, Eddie L. Parris of East Chicago; one brother, Julius (Joann) Ellison of Gary; three sisters, Mae Marian Perry of Corona, Calif., Betty Egiehon of Gary, and Debra Ellison of Anderson; two brothers-in-law, Willie C. Rayford of Anderson and Wiley (Charmaine) Truttling of East Chicago; aunt Isabelle (Charles) Newsom of Anderson; 12 grandchildren, Debra, Aneisha, Aleisha, Dora, Tovia, Stacy Jr., Nathan, Di'Ianne, Yasmine, Martez, India and Amontaye.
Among the friends dear to her heart were: Dorothy Singleton, the Rev. T. Chandler, Lynette Moore (Travis), Steve Calhoun, Mrs. Martha Walker, Luke and Dorothy Briskey, Barbara Avery, Ann and Larry Martin, Rickey Boley, Jack Jr., Antoine Robinson, and special cousin, ElDora Johnson of Gary; also the many special friends and members of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, East Chicago.
Services were held Aug. 16, in Nashville, Tenn., with burial in Middle Tennessee Veteran Cemetery.
Leora M. Carson
April 19, 1920 -- Aug. 20, 2003
WEST LAFAYETTE -- Leora Mae Carson, 83, of West Lafayette, died Aug. 20, 2003.
She was a homemaker and a former Anderson and Pendleton resident.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Donna) Brown; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.
Her husband, Kenneth Milton Carson, died on Jan. 1, 1949.
Services will be 2 p.m. today with visitation from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the Indiana Veterans Home Chapel, West Lafayette. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery, Colfax.
Memorial donations may be made to the Indiana Veterans Home, 3851 N. River Road, West Lafayette, IN 47906.

Jessie M. Cook
Oct. 25, 1909 -- Aug. 21, 2003
Jessie M. (Lee) Cook, 93, of Anderson, died Aug. 21, 2003, at ManorCare Nursing Center after an extended illness.
She was born Oct. 25, 1909, in Knox County .
She was a resident of Hammond most of her life and had also lived eight years in Indianapolis and moved to Anderson in 1988. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sisters, Carolyn West of Anderson and Mary House of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned G. Cook; parents, Dayton F. and Clara (Paul) Lee; brothers, Alva, Nelson and Ralph; sisters, Irene, Helen and Phyllis.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today at Gravel Lawn Cemetery
in Fortville with Rev. Carol Scott officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
