David was born to David B. Burns and Frieda M. Reed on December 8, 1934 in Culver, Indiana. He was married
on May 31, 1953 at Burr Oak, IN to Shirley A. Osborn. She survives.
David is survived by his wife - Shirley A. Burns of Knox, Indiana, Sons - David M. (LuAnn) Burns of Wanatah, Indiana, Gregory A. (Debrah) Burns of Knox, Indiana, Keith B. (Charlotte) Burns of Kewanna, Indiana, and William D. Burns of Knox, Indiana, Brothers - Douglas K. Burns of Plymouth, Indiana, and Rick Burns of Tennessee, Sisters - Betty (Edward) Rosebaum of Hanna, Indiana, Nancy (Joe) Jimenez of Valparaiso, Indiana, and Helen Norman of Akron, Indiana, 8 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Father - David B. Burns, Mother - Frieda M. Burns, and Sister - Eunice A. Schrimsher.
Visitation will be at the Bonine-Odom Funeral Home, Culver, IN from 11: 00 - 2: 00PM on Tuesday, August 14, 2007. Rev. Tim Doss will officiate the service which will take place at 2: 00 PM on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Bonine-Odom Funeral Home, Culver, Indiana.
Interment will follow at the Culver Masonic cemetery in Culver, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be given to Culver Union Township Fire Dept. or the Freewill Baptist Church of North Judson.
Leon T. Pollock
August 29, 1921 - July 19, 2007
Leon was born on Aug 29, 1921 in Rensselaer, IN, one of 4 children born to Ross and Edna (Smith) Pollock. He married
his sweetheart Vera Smith on June 16, 1945 in Knox, IN while proudly serving his country in the US Army during WW II. She preceded him in death on Dec 1, 2003. They have 1 son and 2 daughters.
After his discharge, Leon farmed, built the home he and Vera presently lived in and retired after 26 years as a construction supervisor with the Tonn-Blank Co of Michigan City, IN. He loved the Lord and his church and especially adored his grand- and great grandchildren.
He is survived by : son Dennis T. (Carolyn) Pollock of Winter Haven, FL, daughters: Beverly (Kenneth) Merritt of Culver, and Karla Baldauf of Walkerton, IN; grandchildren: Jennifer (Todd) Wegmiller of Nappanee, IN, Jeffrey (Dana) Pollock of Winter Haven, FL, Aaron (Stacy) McAnally of Rochester, IN, Jannie Pollock of Culver, IN, Joshua (Kellie) McCrammer of Indianapolis, IN, April (Fred) Woodward of Walkerton, IN, Ken "Nuke" (Sandy) Merritt of Brownsburg, IN, great-grandchildren: Cody Wilson of Plymouth, IN, Logan and Lukas Neidlinger of Culver, IN, Kehler & Peyton Pollock of FL, Sheyenne & Briar Merritt of Culver, Cameron & Olivia Woodward of Walkerton, IN, Lauren Merritt of Brownsburg, IN and Jillian & Taylor Wegmiller of Nappanee, IN.

Dominic J.D. Bean, 12 day old infant son of Daniel Bean and Renee Medunic of Culver, Indiana, died at on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dominic was born on June 15, 2007 in South Bend, Indiana.
He is survived by his father - Daniel Bean of Culver, Indiana, mother - Renee Medunic of Culver, Indiana, paternal grandfather - Wayne (Kim) Bean of Plymouth, Indiana, paternal grandmother - Dian Wise of Mears, Michigan, maternal grandmother - Susan Medunic of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and maternal great-grandfather - Paul Medunic of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather - John Medunic, paternal great-grandparents, Clifford and Lela Bean, Brother, Ethan Scott, and maternal great-grandmother - Madaline Medunic.
Visitation will be at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, Culver, IN on Sunday, July 1, 2007 from 1: 00 - 2: 00PM EST. Father Glenn Kohrman will officiate the service which will take place at 2: 00 PM EST on Sunday, July 1, 2007 at St. Mary's of the Lake, Culver, Indiana. Interment will be private.

Rebecca was born to Floyd Thomas and Marjory Johnson on May 31, 1959 in Rochester, Indiana. She was married
on July 15, 1995 at Winamac, Indiana to John Large Jr..
She is survived by her Husband - John Large Jr. of Culver, Indiana, Step-Son - Derrick J. Brewer, Daughters - Lauren L. Large and Alicia M. Large of Culver, Indiana, and her Mother - Marjory Thomas of Culver, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her Father - Floyd Thomas and Sister - Donna Zanandrea.
Visitation will be at the Poplar Grove United Methodist Church Friday, June 29, 2007 from10: 00AM - 1: 00PM. Rev. Ron Lewellen and Rev. Henry Sprunger will officiate the service which will take place at 1: 00 PM on Friday, June 29, 2007 at Poplar Grove United Methodist Church, Argos, Indiana. Interment will follow at the Poplar Grove I.O.O.F. cemetery.

Dale F. Baker
December 1, 1948 - June 19, 2007
Dale F. Baker, 58, of Plymouth, IN died at 7: 51AM on June 19, 2007 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
Dale was born on Dec. 1, 1948 in Indianapolis, IN to Larry and Marjorie (Shotts) Baker. Dale was 1967 graduate of Elston High School in Michigan City and an electrical engineering graduate of Purdue University.
He worked at NIPSCO for 37 1/2 yrs. after having served in the US Army, serving in Vietnam with the Blue Ghost Squadron.
He was a Past White Hat Commander of the Finney-Shilling VFW Post 6919 in Culver, serving in that role from 1990 - 1992. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Federation of Eagles. His two great passions were gardening and kayaking. He was also a master gardener and enjoyed landscaping.
On May 15, 1998 he married
Donna Pennington in Plymouth. She survives along with his daughter - Noelle Baker of LaPorte, IN, and grandsons Ian & Zoren Baker, stepchildren - Jeremy (Nichol) Pennington of Culver and step daughter - Misty Craft of Bowling Green, KY. Other survivors include brothers - Terry (Kathy) Baker of Springport, MI, Stu (Martha) Baker of Marshall, MI, and Ross (Laura) Baker of Tualatin, OR, and sisters Jayellen (Mike) Johnston of Dugger, IN, and Lorry (Ron) Klinger of Boon, MI, and 3 step-grandchildren - Justin and Shanna Craft and Haley Pennington. He was preceded in death by his father Larry.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Bonine-Odom Funeral Home, Culver from 2: 00 - 8: 00PM EST. Funeral services will be held on Sat. June 23, 2007 at 10: 00AM EST at the funeral home with interment following at the Culver Masonic cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Finney-Shilling VFW Post 6919.
K. Calvin Stidham

Kenneth C. "Calvin" Stidham, 47 of Monterey, Indiana, died at 6: 07 AM on Wednesday, June 6, 2007.
Calvin was born to Kenneth and Eunice (Fields) Stidham on September 3, 1959 in Hyden, Kentucky. He was married
on October 17, 1987 at Union Church of the Brethren in Plymouth, IN to Lisa Cramer. She survives.
Calvin is also survived by his parents, sons: Wyatt, Virgil and Morgan Stidham of Monterey, Indiana, daughters: Helen (Eddie) and Mallie Stidham of Monterey, sisters: Karen Ketcham of Culver and Pamela (Todd) Hovarter of Knox, IN, and one grandson - Noah Balchunas.
Visitation will be at the Bonine-Odom Funeral Home, Culver, on Sunday, June 10, 2007 from 11: 00 - 3: 00PM EST. Rev. Floyd Allen and Don Gibson will officiate the funeral services on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at 3: 00PM EST. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.

Katherine J. Richardson, 72 of Monterey, Indiana, died at 1: 21 PM on Sunday, June 3, 2007 at St. Vincent's Heart Center of Indiana in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Katherine was born on June 13, 1934 in Noblesville, Indiana. She was married
on April 23, 1964 at Anderson, Indiana to George Richardson.
She is survived by her husband - George Richardson of Monterey, Indiana, sons - Tom (Ruth) Mobley of Bloomington, Indiana, Larry Richardson of Orange Park, Florida, Robert Richardson of Monterey, Indiana, and Tim (Roberta) Richardson of Monterey, Indiana, several grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and sister - Jerri Fester of Newcastle, Indiana. She was preceded in death by son - Steve Richardson, daughters - Tina Summers and Shelia Summers, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Janet Kelly, 83 of 15865 Yarlett Street, Culver, Indiana, died at 6: 00 PM on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at Miller's Merry Manor in Culver, Indiana.
Janet was born to Milton Napier and Beatrice Stewart on February 19, 1924 in Kentucky.
She was married
on December 24, 1949 at Keokee, Virginia to Paul H. Kelly. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2006.
Janet Kelly is survived by her son - Paul A. (Shirley) Kelly of Knox, Indiana, daughters - Phyllis (Joseph) Mazur of LaQuinta, California, and Michelle (James) See of Plymouth, Indiana, brothers, Bill Napier of Detroit, Michigan, Burl Napier of West Virginia, and J.C. Napier of Pierceton, Indiana, sisters - Joan Bush living in Virginia, Ann Bush of Closplint, Kentucky, Sharon Napier of Keokee, Virginia, and Jean Collins of Martinsville, Indiana, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Husband, Paul H. Kelly, Father, Milton Napier, Mother, Beatrice Napier, 5 Brothers - Bob, George, Merle, Edgar "Poe", and Evan Napier, and sister, Luville Napier.
Visitation will be from 3: 00 - 8: 00PM EST on Friday, June 1, 2007 at the Bonine-Odom Funeral Home in Culver, IN. Rev. Doug Jividen will officiate the funeral service at 11: 00AM EST on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Bonine-Odom Funeral Home, Culver, Indiana.
Interment will follow at the Burr Oak cemetery in Culver, Indiana.
Sherman E. Emmons
PLYMOUTH — Sherman E. Emmons, 85, died at 6 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2008, following an
extended illness, in the VNA Hospice Center, Valparraiso.
Born March 17, 1923, in LaPaz Junction, Ind., he was the son of Sherman E. and Thela C.
Wright Emmons Sr. An area resident most of his life, he graduated from Lakeville High School
with the class of 1942.
A veteran of WWII, Sherman had served in the U.S. Army-Air Force. He was a POW in
Germany for 15 months.
Sherman and Nancy E. Erbaugh were married
in Lakeville on Sept. 1, 1946. Nancy preceded
him in death on May 8, 2003.
He had worked at Studebaker in South Bend both prior to and after he was in the service, until
they closed in 1963. He then ran a Custom Body Shop in Rochester and later was an appraiser
for Franler’s Insurance until his retirement in 1985
A former member of the Plymouth VFW, he also had been a member of the American Legion in
Walkerton and LaPaz. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Sherman is survived by a daughter, Carol Anne and son-in-law, Dennis Turner of Bedford; two
grandsons and two granddaughters. The grandsons are: Kent A. and Jamie Nunemaker of
Wanatah, and their children, Rylee, Nicole and Kyle Sherman Nunemaker; Ryan Patrick and
Kelly Nunemaker of Valparaiso, and their children Haley Marie and Hunter Michael Nunemaker;
the granddaughters: Rachel A. and her husband, Bruce Kenney live in Bozeman, Mont. and
Michelle L. Gerstein and her children, Kylie C., Alivia and Natalie, who live in Ames, Iowa.
Also surviving are two brothers: Dennis L. Emmons of Plymouth and Lowell Emmons of LaPaz;
and a sister, Wilma Rensforth of Plymouth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two sons: Patrick B. Emmons in 1973
and Martin D. Emmons in 1994 and five brothers: Ernest E., David D., Everett O., Ward L. and
Guy K. Emmons and a sister, Joyce Mutz.
There will be no visitation or service.
Interment will be in the Parks cemetery, Bourbon.
Memorials in Sherman’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Frank H. Schneck
KOONTZ LAKE — Frank H. Schneck, 76, of Koontz Lake, and Seabrook, Texas, died Monday,
July 14, 2008 in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; children: Deborah Bernay of Seabrook, Texas, Virginia Mack of
Sugarland, Texas, Frank Schneck of Corinth, Texas, Monica Bunting of Seabrook, Texas,
Robert Schneck of Nassau Bay, Texas and Jeffrey Schneck of Rowlett, Texas; 11
grandchildren, sisters: Mary Lou Stanton of Lemont, Ill. and Julie Weber of Koontz Lake; and
brother, John Schneck of Hines, Ill.
A memorial mass will be Friday at 6 p.m. CDT at St. Dominic’s Church of Koontz Lake.
Cremation will take place.

18223 Point Lookout Drive, Houston, TX 77058.

Franklin L. Anglemyer
WAKARUSA — Franklin L. Anglemyer, 87, of Wakarusa, formerly of Nappanee, died Tuesday,
July 15, 2008 at 12: 15 a.m. at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Anglemyer of Wakarusa; sons: Wayne (Charlene) Anglemyer
of Nappanee and Charles (Cindy) Anglemyer of Elkhart; daughters: Evelyn (Carl) Detwiler of
Nappanee, Jeanne Anglemyer of Goshen and Doris (John Flamion) Slater of Elkhart; 10
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Thursday, July 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder
Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Funeral
services are Friday, July 18 at 10 a.m. at Union Center Church of the Brethren. Burial will be at
Union Center cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church.
Howard Bauman
PLYMOUTH — Howard Bauman, 86, of Plymouth, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Memorial
Hospital, South Bend.
He is survived by sisters: Lois (Art) Morrill of Argos, Doris (Dean) Anders of Niles, Mich., Alice
(Amos) Pearson of Plymouth and Joan Faust of Florida; and brothers: Lawrence Bauman of
South Bend and Robert Bauman of Argos.
Visitation is Saturday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home,
Plymouth. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 19 at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Marshall County Humane Society.
Marjorie I. Leets
SOUTH BEND — Marjorie I. Leets, 89, of South Bend, formerly of Bourbon and Nappanee, died
Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at Fountainview Nursing Home in Mishawaka.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Plute of South Bend; son, Richard Norton of Grovertown;
brother, Frank Deisch Jr. of South Bend; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at noon Friday, July 18 at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Burial will take
place at Bremen cemetery. Visitation is two hours prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.
Phyllis A. Dolph
PLYMOUTH – Phyllis A. Dolph, 74, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at her residence.
She was a lifetime resident of the Plymouth area. Born in St. Joseph County on May 22, 1934,
Phyllis was the daughter of Howard D. and Ruth E. Phillips Roush.
She graduated from Tyner High School with the class of 1952.
On Nov. 6, 1955, she and John A. Dolph were married
in the Pine Creek Church of North
Liberty. John died on June 27, 2000. Phyllis always had a double celebration on Nov. 6, because
that was also John’s birthday.
Phyllis and John ran a Dairy Farm for 36 years. She later worked on the assembly line for eight
years of the BPC Plant in Plymouth.
She had been a member of the World Wide Church of God in Elkhart.
She loved to read, cook, sew clothing and gardening, both with flowers and vegetables and she
took great pride in her “Cow” collection. Her family and her grandchildren were her life. She also
enjoyed helping her friends and neighbors.
Phyllis is survived by four daughters and two sons. They are daughters: Jo Ann M. (Alan)
Nichols of Wanatah, Thelma M. (Randy) Reed of Bremen, Betty L. (Paul) Thiede of Windfall and
Alice L. (Ken) Ballard of Plymouth.
Her sons are: Dennis L. (Nancy) Dolph of Walkerton and Dean A. (Cheri) Dolph of Plymouth.
Three sisters also survive. They are Sallie S. (Richard) Becherl of North Liberty, Barbara J.
(Robert) Stopper of Plymouth and Sharon K. (Donald) McKay of Boston, Mass.
Eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren survive as well.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Florence Dolph and a
brother, Gene D. Roush.
Private services for the family will be held in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1110 N.
Michigan St., Plymouth. Burial will be in Fair cemetery in North Liberty.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Phyllis’ name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Harold I. Hamilton
BREMEN — Harold I. Hamilton, 85, of Bremen, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Saint Joseph
Regional Medical Center, South Bend.
He is survived by sons: Harold G. (Delores) Hamilton of Plymouth and Charles M. Hamilton of
Bremen; daughter, Patty (Russ) Maenhout of Bremen; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren;
one brother; and three sisters.
Visitation is Friday, July 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, and one hour
before the service Sunday. Funeral services are Sunday, July 20 at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Bremen cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Warren Eugene Hahn
The Villages, Fla.— Warren Eugene Hahn, 84, of 2910 Larranga Dr., The Villages, Fla. 32162,
passed on to be with his Lord, July 18, 2008.
He was born in Kosciusko County Aug. 16, 1923, to Arthur and Cora (Lemler) Hahn. He
graduated from Bourbon High School in Bourbon in 1941.
Warren was married
to Pauline Clark in Plymouth on Aug. 13, 1950. He farmed in the Bourbon
area, was employed at Orthopedic Equipment Co., and owned and operated the Bourbon News-Mirror.
He started with the J. R. Hahn Co. at Indianapolis in 1963. He was co-owner and
president of Hahn Systems, Inc., retiring in 1988.
Warren enjoyed fishing in Canada, playing semi-pro baseball with the Iowa Cubs, bowling and
golfing. He was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel.
Warren and his family moved from Bourbon to Indianapolis in 1968. He and his wife spent
winters for 15 years in a townhouse at P.G.A. Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and summers at their
home in Carmel, then moved permanently to Harmeswood of Belle Aire in The Villages in 1999.
He was a member of Crestview Christian Church in Indianapolis and attended North Lake
Presbyterian Church in Lady Lake, Fla.
He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years; son, Doug (Kathy) Hahn of Carmel; daughter, Bev
(Bruce) Newkirk of Izmir, Turkey; grandsons: Chris (Amy) Hahn of Gilbert, Ariz., Andy (Sember)
Hahn of Indianapolis, and Michael Hahn of Bloomington; two sisters: Marjorie Osborne of
Mooresville and Shirley (Roger) Neal of Houston, Texas; brother, George (Cathy) Hahn of
Noblesville and The Villages; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Flanner-Buchanan Funeral Center-Carmel
at 325 E. Carmel Dr, Carmel.
A celebration of Warren’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, at Flanner-Buchanan,
with a one hour visitation preceding and burial at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens following.
