PLYMOUTH — Geneva A. Thomas, 97, of Plymouth, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
She is survived by daughters, Jean Clouse of Palmyra, Va. and Janice Rankin of Greenville, Tenn.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27 at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 400 N. Center St., Plymouth.
Burial will take place at Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
Barbara Diane Trump
WARSAW — Barbara Diane Trump, 55, of Warsaw, died at 6:04 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 at her residence.
She is survived by sisters: Kate (Harold) Biltz of Warsaw, Lorie Hofman of South Africa, Anna Lou (Clell) Michel of Tipton and Betty Trump of Warsaw; brothers: Robert (Nancy) Trump of Tippecanoe, Richard (Mallie) Trump of Tippecanoe, and Russell (Beth) Trump of Argos; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22 at Pleasant View Bible Church, 2782 W. 200 North, Warsaw.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Burial will follow at Tippecanoe cemetery.

Mildred G. (Peggy) Washnock
BREMEN — Mildred G. (Peggy) Washnock 89, of Bremen, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Friday,
Dec. 18, 2009, at the Bremen Health Care in Bremen.
Mildred was born Aug. 15, 1920, in Star City, Ind., to James Robert Caddy and Mary (Scales)
Caddy. Peggy married
Joseph Thomas in 1948. Joseph passed away in September of 1965.
On December 19, 1970, Peggy married
Victor F. Washnock. Victor passed away Sept. 12, 2002.
Peggy worked at General Telephone and Bell Telephone Companies, as a telephone operator.
She was a member of Saint Michael Catholic Church, in Plymouth, and had lived in Marshall
County for around 38 years.
Mildred is survived by her son, James and Sandi Thomas of Willcox, Ariz.; her daughter, Sharon
and Karr Hendrickson of Peoria, Ariz.; her step-daughters: Mary and Robert Stief of Mishawaka,
JoAnn and Robert Minier of Elkhart, and Sueann and Don Sommer of Mishawaka; her step-son
Frank Washnock of Wyatt; five grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
nine step-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marian Lukowski of Mishawaka.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Herbert Caddy.

Eddie D. Wright
PLYMOUTH — Eddie D. Wright, 72, a lifetime Marshall County resident, living in Culver since
2006, died of natural causes at 11:59 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 in St. Joseph Regional Medical
Center, Plymouth.
He was born in Plymouth Feb. 26, 1937, the son of Edgar Dale and Edna Grace (Miller) Wright.
He was a member of the Plymouth High School class of 1955. He played four sports: Football,
basketball, track and baseball.
On January 20, 1955, in Knox, Eddie and Eileen Johnston were married
.
Eddie was hardworking and talented. He was a brick layer at Inland Steel and then started the
Modern Roofing and Siding Co. in Plymouth. He was also a driver for the Plymouth Fire
Department for 10 years.
Eddie and Eileen owned and operated Wright’s Landing, a popular bar and restaurant for 29
years. They retired in 2001.
An outdoorsman, he loved fishing and hunting and making fish ponds and great times spent with
his family, especially the grandchildren. He also enjoyed remodeling homes and moved and
restored as many as 25 of them.
Eddie was a natural athlete and for years involved with the Men’s Slow-pitch League as a pitcher
and for 20 years he enjoyed golfing with his buddies every Thursday night, also playing in
fundraisers for many causes.
Self-taught, he played the guitar and harmonica.
Eddie is survived by Eileen, his wife of almost 55 years, and by their two sons, a daughter, and
seven grandchildren.
His children and grandchildren are: Edward “Butch” (Patty) Wright, Plymouth, and their children:
Matt, Andy and Laura; Christopher A. Wright, Plymouth and his children: Nolan and Natalie and
Kimberly A. (Jamey) Morrison, Culver, and their daughters, Amanda and Sarah. Two great
grandchildren include Treyce and Grace. Three sisters: Hilda Greene, N.J., Jean Abair and Pat
Groninger, and two brothers: William “Bill” (Darlene) Wright and Larry (Phyllis) Wright, all of
Plymouth, survive as well, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Eddie was preceded in death by sisters: Audrey Rush, Edna Pearl McCan, Roger Wright and an
infant brother, Jimmie Wright.
Friends of Eddie will be welcomed by his family from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21 at the
Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services for Eddie will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at the funeral home.
The Rev. Dr. Ronald Liechty will officiate.

Robert E. Boocher
BREMEN — Robert E. “Bob” Boocher, 84, of Bremen, died at 10:31 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19,
2009 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. He was born April 12, 1925 in South
Bend, to Daniel F. and Grace (Green) Boocher.
He graduated in 1946 from Madison Township High School in Wyatt, and lived most of his life in
the Bremen area. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was married
May 23, 1948 in Bremen, to Phyllis V. Silvey who survives.
He retired from the RV industry after more than 30 years of service and was formerly employed
at Studebaker Corporation in South Bend. He was a member of the Nappanee Missionary
Church and the American Legion Post 191 in Bremen.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis; daughters: Rebecca (William) Hasse of Syracuse; Deborah
(Richard) Eberhardt of Bremen; and Valerie (Tem) Kite of Elkhart; sons: Stephen Boocher of
Elkhart; Douglas (Glenda) Boocher of Bremen; and Rob Boocher of Goshen; 12 grandchildren;
eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lavone (William) Steele of Mishawaka and Genevieve
(Ernest) Couch of Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers: Lester, Delbert and Daniel Jr. Boocher.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at the Nappanee Missionary
Church Chapel, 70417 State Road 19, Nappanee.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23 in the church sanctuary with Pastor
Norm Reimer of the church officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bremen cemetery with military graveside rites performed by the Bremen
American Legion Post 191.
Memorial bequest may be given to the Robert Boocher Funeral Fund c/o Owen Family Funeral
Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN, 46567. Envelopes will be available at the church.

Madelyn Grace Diamond
NAPPANEE — Infant Madelyn Grace Diamond, born at 2:18 a.m., died at 4:37 a.m. Saturday,
Dec. 19, 2009 at Goshen General Hospital, Goshen.
She is survived by her parents, Christopher and Jennifer (Cox) Diamond of Nappanee; a brother,
Trent Diamond, at home; grandfather, Leonard (Nancy) Diamond of Ky.; grandparents, Thomas
and Eileen Eby of Goshen and Anthony and Teresa Cox, of Tippecanoe; great-grandparents,
Luke and Ocella Pletcher of Elkhart; great-grandmother Sandy Cox of Plymouth; and great-great grandmother
Wanda Lowry of Plymouth.

WALKERTON — Neil Dean Downey, 84, of Walkerton, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 in his home after an illness.
He is survived by his wife, Edna; two daughters, Ardene (Ron) Bellinger of Walkerton and Karen
Badgley of Koontz Lake; one son, Dale (Julie) Downey of Walkerton; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren;
two sisters, Mildred Berry and Dixie (Robert) Janney, both of Canton, Mo.; and
one brother, Sam Downey of Bryan, Texas.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. (Eastern Time) Tuesday, Dec. 22 at Rannells Funeral
Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, and one hour prior to the services Wednesday.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23 at the funeral home. Burial will
follow at the Woodlawn cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the
Walkerton American Legion.

ROCHESTER — Marilyn Ann Hall, 75, of Rochester, died at 3:22 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009
at Life Care Center.
She is survived by her husband Earl; daughters: Vickie (Tom) Snyder of Temperance, Mich.,
Kathy Powers and Deborah “Deb” (Jon) Fultz, all of Rochester; eight grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren;
and one great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Mary Phillips of Warsaw, Geri
(Robert) Hawley of Claypool; a brother, Nelson (Gladys) Holloway of Burket; and sister-in-law
Hilde Belle “Red” Holloway of Burket.
Visitation took place from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21 at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W.
18th St., Rochester and one hour prior to services Tuesday.

FORT WAYNE — Myra E. Oliver, 94, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Culver, died at 4:40 a.m.
Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 at Woodview Health Center, Fort Wayne.
She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Karen) Oliver of Fort Wayne, Russell (Susie) Oliver II of
Raleigh, N.C.; sister, Elizabeth MacCauley of Clinton Township, Mich.; three grandchildren; and
five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Odom Funeral Home, Culver.

He is survived by six grandchildren.

DONALDSON — Lois Eileen Overland, 83, of Donaldson, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 a the
Catherine Kasper Life Center, Donaldson.
She is survived by her husband Robert; a daughter, Patti Jo (Martin) Freels of St. John; a son,
Brother Bob Overland FS of Donaldson; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Overland.
Visitation will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23 at Catherine Kasper Home Chapel.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
