TWINSBURG, Ohio — Cherilyn René (Shrock) Terrion, 34, of Twinsburg, Ohio, died at 10 p.m.
April 29, 2009 at home.
She is survived by sons: Roman Eugene Terrion and Mason William Terrion; parents, Ron and
Lois Stackhouse of Nappanee; and brother, Chon (Colette) Shrock of Nappanee.
Visitation is Sunday, May 24 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the First Church of God,
Nappanee. A memorial service will be Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the church. Inurnment will take
place at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Marjorie A. Wolfe
Marjorie A. Wolfe, 72, of Nyona Lake (Macy), died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at
Life Care Center of Rochester.
She is survived by her husband, Courtney; five children: Jim (Geneva) Wolfe of Medaryville,
Pattie (Craig) Newgent of Fort Wayne, Darlene (Richard) Harris of Wabash, Becky (Jeff) Mast
of Spicherville and Janet Borden of Wabash;18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters:
Marilyn Cook of Fort Wayne and Margaret Wallace of Fort Wayne.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 3 in the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester.
Interment will follow the service at Greenlawn cemetery in Mexico. Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m.
Sunday and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.

NAPPANEE — Todd A. Newcomer, 40, of Nappanee, died at 4:01 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2009 at
Community Hospital of Bremen.
He is survived by his parents, Terry and Mary Newcomer of Nappanee; brothers: Scott (Becky)
Newcomer and Brad (Jamie) Newcomer, both of Nappanee; and grandparents: John and Marge
Schutz of Bremen and Helen Newcomer of Nappanee.
Visitation is Monday, May 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Thompson-Lengacher Yoder Funeral Home,
Nappanee. Services are Monday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.

WAKARUSA — Donna M. George, 72, of Wakarusa, died at 2:28 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2009 at
Elkhart General Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Bill George; daughters: Kelly (Todd) Ropp of Wakarusa, Jill
Henderson of Goshen and Pam (Ryan) Vander Wey of Goshen; three grandchildren; and
sisters: Shirley (Dean) Middaugh and Glenda Belt, both of Nappanee.
Visitation is Wednesday, May 6 and Thursday, May 7 from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Thompson-Lengacher
& Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior the service Friday at the
church. Services are Friday, May 8 at 10 a.m. at Grace Point Presbyterian Church, Nappanee.
Burial will be at South Union cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Nappanee Home and Garden Club or St. John’s Lutheran Church.

BREMEN — Alva P. Puckett, 73, of Bremen, died Monday, May 4, 2009 at Community Hospital of Bremen.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Puckett of Bremen; three daughters: Teri (Ed) Sayles of Niles,
Mich., Patricia (Chuck) Ralph of Whitesville, Ky. and Lori Cox of Granger; two stepsons: Darrin
and Jeff Cox, both of Fordsville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister,
Rebecca Jane (John) Causey of Fordsville, Ky.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 6 at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 5 at the funeral home.

Joan Minix
BOURBON — Joan Minix, 79, of Bourbon, died Monday, May 5, 2009 at 6 a.m. in Saint Joseph
Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
She is survived by her two sisters: Jewel Carpenter of Bourbon and Ora Grobb of Knox; two
brothers: Larry Minix of Knox and Jr. (Alice) Minix of Salyersville, Ky.; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
There will be no visitation or funeral services. A memorial service will follow at a later date.
Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, Bourbon, is in charge of local arrangements.
Velma "Susie" Singleton
KNOX — Velma “Susie” Singleton, 76, died May 5, 2009 in Valparaiso.
Survivors include her husband, Albert “Joe” Singleton; son, Albert “Joe” Singleton Jr. of Knox
and sisters: Viola Decker of Knox and Dorothy Ulrich of Grovertown.
A celebration of life luncheon will be held Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. CDT at the Washington
Township Community Building, Knox.

Dorothy Verleen Carlson
WALKERTON — Dorothy “Dot” Verleen Carlson, 90, of Walkerton, died at 7:15 p.m.
Wednesday, May 6, 2009 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Nov. 12, 1918 in Grovertown to the late Ora and Agnes (Wick) Awald.
She was married
67 years to Clarence “Swede” Carlson, who preceded her in death Dec. 8, 2005.
She graduated from Grovertown High School in 1936. She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist
Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed her 63 years as a
member of Wills Township Purdue Extension Club. Dot was an avid reader, artist and poet. She
enjoyed nature, gardening, flowers, bird watching, playing cards and being with her family.
She was a homemaker and business manager for their family farm. She also co-owned Robin
Hood Golf Course in South Bend with her husband.
Surviving are her children: Virginia (Richard) Piotrowicz of North Liberty, Kathleen (Frank) Long
of Westville, Christine (Michael) Cruse of Janesville, Wis., Ronald (Marcia) Carlson of LaPorte
and Rick Carlson of North Liberty; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren;
sisters: Vertie (Bob) Pulliam and Audrey Dudeck; brother, Sydney (MaryAnn)
Awald; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters: Ethel Thornburg, Gladys Large, Irene Singleton and
Pauline Martin; and brothers: Frederick and Clarence Awald.
Friends will be received at the Cutler Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday May 8, 2009 and
9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Services will be held at Cutler Funeral Home10:30 a.m. Saturday,
May 9, 2009 with Rev. Ron Devenport officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove cemetery
Contributions may be made to the Mill Creek Baptist Church for Memorial Benches or Hospice
of Marshall County Indiana.
James Lewis Johnson
TONOPAH, Ariz. — James Lewis Johnson, 63, of Tonopah, Ariz., died at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2009.
He is survived by a daughter, Nicole Becker of South Riding, Va.; a son, Nathan (Nicole)
Johnson of Argos; three grandchildren; sister, Barbara (Bill) Binkley of Plymouth; and a brother,
Stan (Carolyn) Johnson of Rochester.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th
St., Rochester. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at the Hamlet
cemetery, northeast of Rochester.

PLYMOUTH — James Michael Kring, 49, of US 31, Plymouth, Ind., died Wednesday May 6,
2009 at 3:35 p.m. at Jasper County Hospital, Rensselaer, following a lengthy illness.
He is survived by a significant friend, Elizabeth Daugherty; former spouse, Cathy Thomas; two
daughters: Andre’a Kring and friend Shantel Sexton of Plymouth and Alyssa Kring and friend
Aaron McArthur of Plymouth; two sons: Chandler Kring and Kenric Kring of Plymouth; two
grandsons; and a sister, Dawn Truster of Franklin, Ind.
A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. Monday May 11, 2009 at the Maple Grove
cemetery, Argos.

MONTEREY — Patricia Martin, 73, of Monterey, died at 7:31 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at
LaPorte Regional Health System.
She is survived by sons: Conrad Henry and Blaine Morris of Chicago, Ill.; brother, LaVance
Mallard of Chicago, Ill.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. There will be no
services. Interment will be private.

ANGOLA — Stephen Wolcott Wildermuth, 66, of Angola and formerly of Auburn, died
Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla.
He is survived by two daughters: Stacey J. (Matthew) Thomas of Carmel and Deborah J. (Chip)
Nance of Auburn; two sons: Wade K. Wildermuth of Hamilton and Ryan R. Wildermuth of
Hamilton; brother, James (Carole) Wildermuth of Goshen; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 9 at Feller & Clark Funeral Home, 1860 S. Center
St., Auburn. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery, Fremont. Visitation is Saturday from 1 to 2:30
p.m. at the funeral home.

Randall H. "Munchkin" Furnivall
ROCHESTER — Randall H. “Munchkin” Furnivall, 57, of Rochester, died at 3:54 a.m. Thursday,
May 7, 2009 at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Sue (Smith) Furnivall; daughter, Janella Furnivall and John
Banter of Logansport; and a son, Jason (Katheryn) Furnivall of Akron; four grandchildren; two
brothers: Richard (Kathy) Furnivall of Rochester and Ronald (Tina) Furnivall of Rochester; his
mother-in-law, Esther Smith; and his brother-in-law, Karl Smith.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9 in the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 8, and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service at the Rochester IOOF cemetery.

NAPPANEE — Edward R. Mast, 85, of Nappanee, died at 11:17 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009 at
Goshen General Hospital.
He is survived by brothers: Lester (Doris) Mast of Nappanee, Eli (Donna) Mast of Shipshewana,
Dave (Jane) Mast of Fort Wayne and Hank (Linda) Mast of Winchester, Va.; and sisters: Ruby
(Mel) Slabaugh of Howe and Clara Swartz of Centerville, Mich.
Visitation was Friday, May 8 after 3 p.m. and all day Saturday, May 9 at the Leon Stutzman
residence, 8954 W. Hepton Rd. Services are Sunday, May 10 at 9:30 a.m. at the Stutzman
residence. Burial will be at Weldy cemetery.
