LAKEVILLE -- Marjorie L. Hildebrand, 85, of Lakeville, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 in Rivercrest
Specialty Hospital, Mishawaka.
She is survived by a son, Daniel H. Hildebrand of Livonia, Mich.; two grandchildren; seven great grandchildren;
a sister, Marie Rupright of Mishawaka; and brothers, Arlus (Norma) Faulstich of
California and Vern Faulstich of Monterey.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2 at Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S.
Michigan St., Lakeville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at Faith Christian Chapel, 20876 Pierce
Road, Lakeville.
Burial will follow in Southlawn cemetery, South Bend.
G. Faustine Miller-Moore
BREMEN -- G. Faustine Miller-Moore, 81, of Bremen, formerly of Wakarusa, died at 5:55 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at Bremen Health Care.
She is survived by a daughter, Judith (Marvin) Burns of Nappanee; sons, Kenneth (Barbara)
Miller of Wakarusa and Robert (Cathy) Miller of Syracuse; stepchildren: Robert (Sue) Moore Jr.
of Mishawaka, Roger (Loraine) Moore of Wakarusa, Douglas (Julie) Moore of Wakarusa, and
Donald (LouAnn) Moore of Bremen; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several
step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and sisters: Georgia Price of Plymouth, Julia
Oswald of Dowagiac, Mich., and Sue Elliott of Lebanon, Ohio.
Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30 and one hour prior to services Friday
at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, 501 N. Elkhart St., Wakarusa.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Olive West cemetery.

Hazel Leona (Benninghoff) Staner
BREMEN -- Hazel Leona (Benninghoff) Staner, 89, S. Whitlock St., Bremen, died at 6:34 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at Community Hospital of Bremen, following a brief illness. She had
been in declining health since 2005
She was born July 10, 1921 in Hamlet to George “Clem” and Mary (Allen) Benninghoff and
moved to the Argos Community in 1948.
She married
Oliver “Ollie” Staner March 31, 1941 and became a homemaker. He preceded her
in death Feb. 24, 1992.
Hazel was a member of the Green Township Home Economics Club and Home & Hobby Home
Economics Club. She had attended Jordan Baptist Church and the Argos Wesleyan Church,
both of Argos.
She is survived by a son, Larry Staner and wife Gerri of Bremen; daughter, Judy Stewart of
Pierceton; nine grandchildren: Cheryl Brown of Bremen, Cara Bunton and husband Ron of
Bremen, Tracy Harast and husband Chrys of Chicago, Ill., Tonia Tillitson and husband Tim of
Bourbon, Gina Fielder of Leiters Ford, Cameron “Cam” Kiffmeyer of Tulsa, Okla., Chris Crum
and wife Mandy of Lexington, Ky., and Dennis Staner and Matthew Stewart, both of Pierceton;
13 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Floyd Benninghoff and
Dean Benninghoff and wife Meade, both of South Bend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Sharon Crum; four brothers;
three sisters; and a great-grandson, Timmy Tillitson.
Friends may visit with the family Sunday, Jan. 2, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral
Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at the funeral home with Rev. Arley Mitcham
officiating.
Burial will follow at Maple Grove cemetery, Argos.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bremen Boys & Girls Club.

Hurndon Rudd
ROCHESTER -- Hurndon Rudd, 83, of Rochester, died at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010
at his residence.
He is survived by his daughters: Marcella (Keith) Boyd of Rochester, Karen Clark of Rochester,
Kathy (Ron) Moore of Rochester, and Debbie (Daryl) Powell of Rochester; sons: Bob (fianceé
Robin) Rudd of Yorktown, Jack Rudd of Rochester, David (Linda) Rudd of Rochester, and
Bernard (Katie) Rudd of Denver; sisters: Edna Penix of Salyersville, Ky., Augustine Castle of
Flatgap, Ky., and Barbara Daniels of Salyersville, Ky.; a brother, E.J. Rudd of Salyersville, Ky.;
18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 31 and one hour prior to services Saturday
at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 1 at the funeral home. Burial will follow
at Athens Hoover cemetery.

ROCHESTER -- Carl Bailey, 79, of Rochester, died at 6:29 a.m . Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 at his
residence.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis J. Bailey of Rochester; daughters: Karen (David) Helt of
Rochester, and Sandy (Jim) Oliver of Angola; a son, Alan Bailey of Rochester; eight
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Marie (Bob) Burrous of Peru,
Ind., Forrest (Mary) Bailey of Argos, Ivory (Cecil) Mann of Winamac, Ray (Rachel) Bailey of
Bradenton, Fla., Eddie (Lou) Bailey of Knox, Troy (Frieda) Bailey of North Judson, Beech (Linda)
Bailey of North Judson, Sharon (Nathan) Marcum of Knox; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2 and one hour prior to services Monday
at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester.
Funeral services will take place at 11a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the Odd Fellows cemetery, Rochester.

PLYMOUTH -- Carol J. Bennett, 75, died at 4:35 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 at Miller’s Merry
Manor, Plymouth, of natural causes.
She is survived by nephews, Dennis (Francie) Beville of Plymouth, and Edward (Carolyn Gatz)
Bennett of Louisville, Ky.
Graveside services will take place at 11 a.m. (EDT) Monday, Jan. 3, in Crown Hill cemetery, Knox.

Flora B. Conley
PLYMOUTH -- Flora B. Conley, 78, of North Street, Plymouth, passed away Thursday, Dec. 30,
2010, at 2:05 p.m., at her home.
Flora was born Nov. 22, 1932, in Kewanna, to Joseph and Rosa (Manes) MacLain. She worked
at GM Enterprises, a stamping plant, in Plymouth. Flora married
Austin Conley Nov. 19, 1972, in
Argos. After their marriage they moved to Plymouth.
Flora loved to make crocheted afghans for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was
also the “master” cookie maker, for her family.
Flora is survived by her husband, Austin Conley of Plymouth; her children: Cynthia (Carl) Selleck
of Peru, Ind., Diana (Jack) Bonnell of Edgewater, Fla., Karen (Sam) Agee of Plymouth, and
Brenda Watson of Plymouth; her stepchildren: Lorie Jean Adell of Elkhart, Ann Marie Conley of
Elkhart, Allen Conley of Plymouth, Lonnie Dean Conley of Elkhart, and Rick (Kathy) Conley of
Plymouth; seven grandchildren;13 step grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren;
one great-great-grandchild; her sisters: Merle Isaac of Florida, Jessie Hines of
Royal Center, Ind. Ruth Hart of Argos, Gladys Stutzman of Plymouth, Emily Brown of Knox, and
Marilyn Zartman of Plymouth; and her brother, Lawrence MacLain of Kewanna.
She was preceded in death by her son, William Hatch; her grandson, Sebastian Agee; her
granddaughter, Jada Rose Smith; two brothers; and three sisters.
The family would like to thank, Lynn, for taking such good care of their mother.

June C. Thake
PLYMOUTH -- June C. Thake, 85, of Eastwood Estate’s Cedar Ct., Plymouth, died peacefully at
her home at 9:55 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010.
Born in Janesville, Wis., July 21, 1925, June was the daughter of Herbert G. and Clara E.
(Edwards) Sarney.
She graduated from Steinmetz High School, Chicago, in 1943. June earned her R.N. from Grant
Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago in 1945.
On April 19, 1947, in Chicago, Ill., June and Arthur E. Thake were married
. She liked to travel
and enjoyed cooking and reading. She was always interested in the activities of her children and
grandchildren.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Bremen.
June was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Herbert G. Sarney; and is survived by her
husband Art of nearly 63 years; and their three sons and two daughters. They are sons David A.
Thake, Belvidere, Ill.; Dale R. (Colleen) Thake, Charleston, S.C.; Dan F. (Beth) Thake,
Wauconda, Ill.
Daughters include Diane J. (John) Schumacher, St. Charles, Ill. and Donna D. (Mike) Gordon,
Plymouth. Fifteen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, survive as well.
Friends are invited to share memories with June’s family Sunday, Jan. 2, from noon to 2 p.m., at
the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services for June will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday following visitation in the funeral home.
Pastor Roger Rohde will officiate.
Burial will be in the Plymouth New Oakhill cemetery.
