PLYMOUTH -- Ella Stump-Bridges, 75, of Plymouth, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010 in her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip J. Mangus; daughter, Angela Holderread; son, Wayne
Stump; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Bonnie Feitz; and brothers, Gene
Feitz, Bob Feitz and Max Feitz.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23 in the Palmer Funeral HomeLakeville,
314 S. Michigan St., Lakeville, and one hour prior to services Wednesday in the church.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24 in the Pine Creek Church of the
Brethren, 69531 Pine Road, North Liberty.
Burial will follow in Fair cemetery, North Liberty.
Donald E., Sr. Coffin
GROVERTOWN -- Donald E. Coffin, Sr., 75, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010 in St. Joseph
Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth of Princeton, Ill; daughters: Ruth Ann (Duane) Barker of
Sheffield, Ill, Peggy Winter of Grovertown, and Tina Coffin of Plymouth; sons, Charles II, Earl,
and Doug Coffin, all of Grovertown, Donnie Coffin Jr. of Plymouth, and Clifford (Missy) Coffin of
Princeton, Ill.; sisters: Eunice Elder of Toto, Marilyn Gullans of Knox, and Mary Bailey of Hamlet;
brothers, Warren Coffin, Sr. of Kentucky and Howard Coffin of Hamlet; 25 grandchildren; and 31
great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. CST Sunday, Nov. 28 and one hour prior to services
Monday at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Fletcher cemetery, Hamlet.
Margaurite L. "Maggie" McHargue
PLYMOUTH -- Margaurite L. “Maggie” McHargue, 78, died at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, November
23, 2010 in the home of her daughter and in the care of her loving family.
Maggie was born in Plymouth on April 22, 1932, the daughter of John T. and Ada R. (Watkins)
Gaines. She attended Plymouth schools and was a lifetime Plymouth resident who formerly
resided in the Westgate Apartments.
On April 17, 1949 Maggie became the bride of Arnold “Mel” McHargue together they would have
seven children, twenty grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. He preceded her in
death on June 29, 2000.
Maggie was first and foremost a homemaker in every sense. She would often open her home
always ready to serve up a meal or to those needing a place to stay until they could get on their
feet. Maggie was available for a coffee break and conversation over cards or dominos anytime of
the day.
For several years she worked as an aide at Miller’s Merry Manor in Plymouth and for five years
as a driver for JJR providing transportation to the disabled and loved interacting with the many
children and parents.
Maggie truly loved her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow. And in turn they
loved her sharing special times like baking a family favorite -- pumpkin rolls for the holidays.
She also enjoyed fishing and gardening.
She was a member of the Shiloh Wesleyan Church and volunteered with her good friend Diana
at Tuesday evening worship services at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Maggie is survived by two sons and four daughters. Her sons are: Charles Melvin McHargue and
Arnold “Bud” L. and Dawn McHargue of New Paris, Ind. Her daughters are: Ruth Ann and Ed
Clemons of Grovertown, Nancy Lynn and Kevin Ames, Dawn Marie and John Sellers, and Tina
Louise and Don Bunton, all of Plymouth.
Nineteen surviving grandchildren include: Sarah Slusser, Chuckie McHargue, Dallas Deckys,
Chuck Hite, Kellie Enders, Jason Hite, Angel Shock, Butch Clark, Andy Clark, Erin Hundt,
Jeremiah Sellers, Alicia Sellers, Victoria Stults, Kayla Walters Elijah McHargue and Jesse
McHargue.
Her 22 great-grandchildren are: Zander, Dalton, Mackenzie, Kayden, Vanessa, Devin, Abby,
Annie, Jessica, Zack, Gracie, Paige, Libby, Austin, Lexie, Bailey, Kwinten, Rilynn, Ryen, Jadyn,
Colton and Isabella.
One brother, John C. Gaines of Plymouth also survives.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son John Daniel “Tiny”
McHargue, two brothers, Charles and Herbert; six sisters: Maudie, Norma Jean, Minerva,
Evalena. Goldie and Clara and grandson, Isaiah Sellers.
Friends may join the family in celebrating the Christian life of Maggie McHargue on Sunday, Nov.
28 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29 at the Shiloh Wesleyan Church, 10532 4B
Road, Plymouth where calling will continue after 10 a.m. The Rev. John Perkinson, pastor will
officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.

Dennis James Roberts
WALKERTON -- Dennis James Roberts, 61, Walkerton, died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, in his home.
He is survived by his wife Leslee; children, Jason (Stacia) Roberts of Oregon, and Joy (Adrian)
Williams of LaPorte; three grandchildren; sisters: Janet Herrera, Marlene Roberts, and Carol
Soloman; brother, Michael Malone; uncle, Gilbert (Carol) Campbell; and father and mother-inlaw,
Marvin and Ruth Hopp.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. CST Friday, Nov. 26 and one hour prior to services
Saturday at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27 at the funeral home.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the Walkerton American Legion Post 189.

Ray J. Burkholder
NAPPANEE -- Ray J. Burkholder, 83, of Nappanee, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, at his residence
after an extended illness.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara S. Burkholder of Nappanee; daughters, Cary Lynn (Marvin)
Hochstetler of Nappanee and Norma Sue Burkholder of Edwardsburg, Mich.; six grandchildren
and one great-grandson.
Visitation was Thursday and all day Friday at the family’s home.
Services are Saturday, Nov. 27 at 9:30 a.m. at the David Borkholder residence with Bishop Alvin
Borkholder officiating.
Burial will be at Borkholder cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Thompson-Lengacher Funeral Home.
David H. Stalnaker
NAPPANEE -- David H. Stalnaker, 88, of Nappanee, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010 at 1:40
a.m. at Elkhart General Hospital.
He is survived by sons, Scott (Jessie) Stalnaker of Jacksboro, Tenn. and John (Mary) Stalnaker
of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder
Funeral Home, 950 N. Main St., Nappanee.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at South Union cemetery with military graveside services.
Charles S. Bolze
WALKERTON -- Charles S. Bolze, 91, of Walkerton, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010 at his residence.
He is survived by a sister, Hulda Bolze of Landisburg, Penn.; sons: James (Glenice) Bolze,
David (Lori) Bolze, Tom (Nancy) Bolze and Kenneth Bolze, all of Walkerton; nine grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation took place from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29 at Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, 408
Roosevelt Road, Walkerton with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral services took place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30 at the funeral home.
Burial followed at Woodlawn cemetery.
Edith G. "Dee" Pittsford
PLYMOUTH -- Edith G. “Dee” Pittsford, 65, a resident of North 5th Street, Plymouth has died of
natural causes at 10:47 p.m. Thursday evening, Nov. 25, 2010 in the St. Joseph Regional
Medical Center – ER.
Edith was born in Knoxville, Tenn. July 11, 1945, the daughter of Harmon and Gladys J. (Moore)
Woods. She graduated from East High School in Knoxville. In 1964 the family moved to Plymouth.
Aug. 23, 1982 in Arlington, Texas, she married
Edgar Pittsford, who then preceded her in death
in September of 1992.
Dee was known in the area as an outstanding and often outspoken waitress who always
brightened one’s day. She worked at the L&K Restaurant, Sunrise Omelet House and Christos’
Family Restaurant many years. She then worked as a cashier for Pak-A-Sak prior to
experiencing health problems. She enjoyed dining out every Thursday with the girls and had
done so earlier that Thanksgiving Day.
Dee loved gaming, bingo, reading and travel with family members out West.
Surviving is her son, Charles David Troutt and wife Faye of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers,
Charles (Tina) Perry of Orange Park, Fla. And Dennis Woods of Plymouth; and two sisters, Mary
(David) VanBlaricom of LasVegas and Rita (Howard) White of Plymouth. Numerous nieces and
nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; a sister, Charlotte Woods; and a brother,
Perry Edwards.
To honor Dee’s wishes a simple family service will take place.

Rosebud Ferrell
PLYMOUTH -- Rosebud Ferrell, 90, of Plymouth, died at 12:42 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 at St.
Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
She was born Aug. 31, 1920 in Lebanon, Ind. To Russell and Vivian (Meadows) Dismore.
She lived most of her life in the Marshall County Community She married
Howard Ferrell Sr.
June 17, 1939 in Waukegan, Ill. He preceded her in death Jan. 6, 1983.
She was a clerk at Madison Stevens IGA Grocery Store and Grolich Grocery Store, both of Argos.
She was a member of the Argos United Methodist Church; Argos American Legion, Ladies
Auxiliary, Post #68; VFW ladies Auxiliary, Plymouth; and the Order of the Eastern Star #26 of
Plymouth. She was a graduate of Downers Grove High School (Illinois) class of 1938.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Kline and husband Ron of Plymouth; grandchildren:
Amy Miller and husband Rich of Argos, Traci Tippmann and husband Larry of Cincinnati, Ohio,
Jeffery Ferrell and wife Ellen of Rochester, and Jason Tom of Fairfax, Va.; and eight great grandchildren:
Alicia and Jeffery Ferrell, Sydney and Carleigh Miller, Aaron, Riley, Natalie, and
Christopher Tippmann.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Howard Ferrell Jr.; daughters: Sue
Ferrell, Terri Ferrell, and Marla Tom; grandsons, Todd and Doug Ferrell; sisters, Joy Spohn and
Donna Clabaugh; and a brother, Victor Dismore.
Friends may visit with the family Monday, Nov. 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman
Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Rice
officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove cemetery, Argos.

ROCHESTER -- Helen Nichols, 90, of Rochester, died at 4:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 at
her granddaughter’s home.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Nichols of Rochester and Jo Ann Nichols of Fort
Wayne; a son, John (Angela) Nichols of Rochester; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren;
and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29 and one hour prior to services
Tuesday at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30 at the funeral home. Burial will
follow at Rochester IOOF cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice of Fulton County.
Marjorie E. Oberlander
KNOX -- Marjorie E. Oberlander, 86, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, in Golden Living Center, Knox.
She is survived by a daughter, Emma Louise (Bob) Tingley of Knox; son, Russell (Kay) Close of
Williamsburg, Ky.; brothers, Wilford and Douglas Rensberger; sisters, Katie Alexander and
Emma Ernest; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
There will be no services or visitation.
Cremation will take place.
Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
Debra L. Harrell-Schildmeier
OKOMO -- Debra L. Harrell-Schildmeier, 55, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, in her home after a
sudden illness.
She is survived by her husband, David; sons, Danny (Kathleen) Hayes of Valparaiso and Jesse
(Wendy) Harrell of Lake Station; daughter, Erin Harrell of Crown Point; stepson, Casey
Schildmeier of Cicero; stepdaughter, Amber (Dean) Pruitt of Anderson; father, Floyd Vogel of
Tipton, Ga.; brothers: Gary and Marvin Grubbs and Bruce Harris; sisters, Wanda Schneider and
Kimberly Smith; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. CST Wednesday, Dec. 1 and from 11:30 a.m. to the
time of services Thursday, at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, at the funeral chapel.
Burial will follow at the Winamac cemetery in Winamac.
