Randy Dwane Nelson
CULVER -- Randy Dwane Nelson, age 46, of Culver, formerly of Michigan City, died
Wednesday, Nov. 17 at LaPorte Hospital.
Randy was born May 11, 1964 in Michigan City to Emmitt (Alva) and Gloria (Smith) Nelson. His
mother preceded him in death, his father survives in LaPorte.
Also surviving are his children: Charlie (Dara) Hale of Michigan City, Daniel (LaTonya) Nelson
and Stephanie (Benjamin) Tanger, both of LaPorte, Rhianna (Steve) Howard of Bass Lake, Ron
Jelinek of Rochester, and Jessica Jelinek of Monterey; grandchildren: Bradley Hale, Caleb
Nelson, Annabelle Tanger, Christin Howard, Cortney Howard, and Beyonca Jelinek; lifelong
companion and partner, Jeanette Jelinek of Culver; and sisters, Tracee (Mike) Podgorski and
Trisha (Tom) Sosinski, both of Michigan City.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Nelson.
Randy had been self-employed as a carpenter/construction worker.
He enjoyed carpentry and loved to sing and play the guitar. He knew no strangers and always
enjoyed telling a good story. He loved his family and will be missed by all he knew.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22 at Carlisle Funeral home, 613 Washington St.,
Michigan City, with Pastor Kim Cole officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Frontline Foundations, 802 Wabash Ave. Chesterton,
IN, 46304.

Gloria J. Rash
PLYMOUTH -- Gloria J. Rash, 61, also affectionately known as Jeanne and Georgia, died at
5:24 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010 in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka,
following an illness.
She had been a resident of Plymouth for the past 10 years, coming from Dublin, Ga.
The daughter of Wallace and Bonelle Johns Horton, she was born in Georgia Dec. 31, 1948. As
a child, Gloria’s parents moved often and she lived in many different towns in Georgia.
June 1, 2001, Gloria and Curtis L. Rash were married in Plymouth.
Gloria had worked as a caretaker, helping others to be able to stay in their own homes.
She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, fishing and playing cards. Gloria especially enjoyed playing
with her little buddy, Elijah and spending time with her granddaughter, Brittany.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Curtis, of Plymouth; her stepmother, Caroline Horton of
Georgia; her children: Tasha Allen of Florida, Alicia Dunson, Paula Maddox, Robbie Dunson and
Sean Lane, all of Georgia; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a sister, Debra Brown; two brothers, Roger Horton and Carl Horton, all of
Georgia; and her mother-in-law, Lois Rash of Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A time to share memories and visit with the family will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21,
in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth.
Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Ken Otto, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral
home.
Memorial gifts in Gloria’s memory may be made to the Center for Hospice Care, 112 S. Center
Street, Plymouth, IN, 46563.

V. Stuart Adams
PLYMOUTH -- V. Stuart Adams, 85, of 667 Windmill Drive, Plymouth, passed away Thursday,
Nov. 18, 2010, at 1:47 p.m., in his home.
Stuart was born Dec. 10, 1924, in Perrysville, Ohio, to Virgil and Elva Ruth (Abair) Adams.
He served his country in the Navy in WWII. Stuart, and the former Pat Baker, were married in
Plymouth, April 27, 1974. Stuart was in partnership, with his brother Clifford, of Culligan Soft
Water from 1951 to 1976. Stuart had been a member of the Moose Lodge, Toastmaster’s, the
VFW #1162, and Plymouth Kilwinning Lodge #149.
Stuart is survived by his wife, Pat Adams of Plymouth; his daughters, Toni (David) Parsons of
Plymouth, Christine Adams of Kentucky, and Tracy (Mark) Goss of Surprise, Ariz.; his son, Rick
(Michelle) Adams of Plymouth; his brothers, Clifford (Martha) Adams of Plymouth, Robert Adams
of Florida, and James Adams of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Emma Parsons, Tessa Parsons,
Nick Goss, Taylor Goss, Brooke Conn, and Lucas Meyer-Adams.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Gertrude.
Memorials may be given to:

Amanda Helen Biltz
ROCHESTER -- Amanda Helen Biltz, 64, of Rochester, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18,
2010 at Woodlawn Hospital.
She is survived by her husband Terry Biltz; sons: David (Debra) Biltz of Rochester, Richard Biltz
of Rochester, and Anthony (Kim Miller) Biltz of Rochester; daughter-in-law, Caryl Biltz of
Rochester; three grandchildren; sisters, Carol (Mike) Guy of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Bonnie
Andreasen of Virginia; brothers: Francis “Sonny” E. (Mary) Cave of Florida, Terry L. (Pat) Cave
of Rochester, and Dennis D. Cave of Akron; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, and one hour prior to services
Monday at Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St. Rochester. Funeral services will take
place at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Athens cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the COPD Foundation.

Esther J. Keb
LAPORTE -- Esther J. Keb, 82, of LaPorte, died at 11:55 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at
Countryside Place Nursing and Rehabilitation, in LaPorte.
She is survived by her sons, Harold H. (Arline) Keb of Plymouth, and Tom (Becky) Keb of LaPaz,
Indiana; sisters: Gloria (Jake) Taylor of South Bend, Juanita Cummins of LaPorte, and Marilyn
(Kent) Figg of South Bend; brothers: Carl (Lou) Nixon of Plymouth, Donald (Kay) Nixon of
Mishawaka, Robert (Kathy) Nixon of South Bend, and Larry (Margaret) Nixon of LaPorte.
There will be no visitation or funeral.
Burial will be in North Liberty cemetery, North Liberty.
Van Gilder Funeral Home, Plymouth, assisted the family with arrangements.

Terri Lou Moore
ARGOS -- Terri Lou Moore, 47, of N. Maple St., Argos, died at 10:55 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18,
2010 at her residence following a brief illness.
She was born Nov. 9, 1963 in Marion to Leonard and Edna (King) Felty. She has lived in the
Marshall County Community since 1989, coming from Nashville, Tenn.
She married Phillip Daniel Moore June 6, 1984 in Marion. She was the co-owner of Elite Travel
in Plymouth, since 1998. She was a member of Delta Theta Tau, Zeta Zeta Chapter, Plymouth,
and was a graduate of the CUC Travel Service Inc., Tennessee.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Moore of Yipsilanti, Mich.; daughters, Amber Hartman
and husband Chris of Plymouth, Terah Stoops and husband Chris of Fort Wayne, and Jenny
Moore of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Michael and Emily Hartman and Olivia Stoops; her mother,
Edna Frame and her husband Thomas of Jonesboro; brother, Randy Felty of Marion; sisters,
Deb Harris and husband Don of Marion, and twin sister Sherri Persinger of Marion; and special
friend, Gene Hundt of Plymouth.
She was preceded in death by her father, a brother, and a sister.
Friends may visit with the family Sunday, Nov. 21 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral
home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at the funeral home with Rev. John
Branch of “The Cross” Church in Rochester.
Burial will take place at New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial contributions may be made to Delta Theta Tau, Zeta Zeta Chapter, P.O. Box #902,
Plymouth, IN, 46563.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos.

Olga "Marie" Cook
ROCHESTER -- Olga “Marie” Cook, 84, of Rochester, passed away at 1:15 p.m., Friday, Nov.
19, 2010 at Woodlawn Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters: Carolyn Cook of Rochester and Elaine Rothenberger and
husband, Dennis, of Warsaw, five grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; one sister: Ruth
Enyart, and husband Raymond, of Rochester; and one brother: Rev. Emmett Meek, wife Rev.
Wanda, of Rochester
Visitation is Tuesday, Nov. 23, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W.
18th St. Rochester.
A celebration of the life of Olga Marie Cook will be at noon Tuesday, at the funeral home, with
Pastor Mark Pilger officiating.'

Corrine E. “Corky” Pippenger
BREMEN -- Corrine E. “Corky” Pippenger, 56, of Bremen, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 in the
Bremen Community Hospital.
She is survived by her husband John; sons, Sean (Tera) Douglass and Tony Pippenger, all of
Plymouth; daughters, Carrie (Kenneth) Ruby of Rochester and Jennifer (Larry) Corbet, all of
Plymouth; six grandchildren; a brother, Larry Critchfield of Shipshewana; and a sister, Judy
(Frank) Stapleton of Nappanee.
Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26 at the Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St. Plymouth.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the Leesburg cemetery at 3:30 p.m.

Robert L. Spillman
GROVERTOWN -- Robert L. Spillman, 102, of Bluffton, Ohio, formerly of Grovertown, died Nov.
20, 2010 in Bluffton, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Joiner; one son, Charles (Sue) Spillman of Joliet, Ill.; five
grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren;
two step-great-great grandchildren; one step-son, David (Sylvia) Pletcher of Bluffton, Ohio and
one step-daughter, Sharon Formahals of Youngstown, Ohio.
Visitation is Wednesday at the church two hours prior to the service. Funeral services will be
Wednesday at 2 p.m. (Central Time) at the Highway Chapel Church of God with Pastor Dan
Allen officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to the church. Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel is
handling arrangements.

Brian E. Boldizar
MISHAWAKA -- Brian E. Boldizar, Mishawaka, died Sunday evening Nov. 21, 2010.
Brian was 32 years old, a loving father, son, brother, and friend.
Brian was born Feb. 16, 1978, in Bath, Mich. He was the son of Edward and Brenda Boldizar.
Brian grew up in Bath, and graduated from Bath High School.
Brian loved spending time fishing and camping with his family.
Brian is survived by his two children, Jaden Brian Boldizar and Kanyon Mason Boldizar; and the
mother of his children, Aneka Wilcockson. Also surviving are his father, Edward Boldizar; and
sister, Kristy Boldizar. He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Boldizar, Jan. 17, 1997.
A graveside committal service will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 4 at Rose cemetery in Bath.
A gathering to celebrate Brian’s life will follow from 1 to 3 p.m. at the American Legion, 5480
Clark Rd. Bath, MI, 48808. Speaker Jack Brown will lead the service and celebration.
A college fund will be set up to help Brian’s two sons. Donations for the college fund can be
made payable to College America, for the benefit of either Jaden Boldizar or Kanyon Boldizar as
separate accounts and mailed c/o 4096 Hardwoods Drive, West Bloomfield, MI, 48323.

Eldora M. Heim
WALKERTON -- Eldora M. Heim died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010 in Providence House, South Bend.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred Heim; a son, Henry Lombardi of Salt Lake City, Utah; and
many nieces and nephews.
There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place. Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz
Lake Chapel, assisted the family arrangements.

Dewey P. Shearer
FORT WAYNE -- Dewey P. Shearer, 85, passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010 at Lutheran
Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Born in Mishawaka, Dewey graduated from West Township High School in 1943. He then went
to Indiana University to earn his B.S. in Marketing in 1950. Dewey worked as the manager and
co-owner at the Firestone Store in Marion, for 37 years, retiring in 1987.
He loved attending Snider basketball games, Homestead Band events, and many soccer and
basketball games in Plano, Texas for his grandchildren. Dewey was an avid IU sports fan. He
loved aviation, being at the lake, collecting model cars, planes, and hats.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 62 years, Phyllis Shearer; daughter, Victoria (Ray) Sims of Fort
Wayne; sons, Steve (Ginger) Shearer of Plano, Texas, and Gary (Laura) Shearer of Fort Wayne;
a sister, Guinevere (David) Scheetz; and grandchildren: Ryan and Jonathan Sims, Parker and
Amanda Shearer, and Colton and Madison Shearer.
Dewey was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Ollie Shearer, and sisters, Jeanette
Doran, Eileen Thomas.
Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral
Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior and with Dr. Derek Weber officiating.
Calling is at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, Tuesday, Nov. 23 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Heart Association and the Cancer Society.
