David Christopher Ewald
BREMEN -- David Christopher Ewald, 55, of Bremen, died Oct. 14, 2010 at his home.
He is survived by sons, Nathan Ewald and David Ewald, both of South Bend; two brothers,
Daniel (Melody) Ewald of Leesburg and Michael Ewald of Marion; a sister, Linda Helenburg of
South Bend; three nephews; and four nephews.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.
Funeral services will take place at 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Dorothy L. (Warner) Watson
NORTH MANCHESTER -- Dorothy L. (Warner) Watson, 92, of North Manchester, died at 4:50
a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010 at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
She was born in Wabash County July 29, 1918 to Jesse and Nona (Mishler) Blickenstaff. She
taught at North Webster, South Whitley and retired from Wabash Metropolitan Schools as
coordinating librarian and reading specialist.
Dorothy married T. Gene Warner Aug. 29, 1940. He died April 27, 1990. She then married Joe
F. Watson April 17, 1994. He died April 15, 2007.
She attended Manchester Church of the Brethren, North Manchester. She graduated from
Chester High School, North Manchester; earned a B.S. degree from Manchester College, and an
M.S. degree from Saint Francis College. She attended Goshen College, Butler University, IPFW
and IU for additional education.
Dorothy helped organize 13 school libraries. She was active in School Librarian organizations,
Retired Teachers Association, the Jackson Junior Home Demonstration Club and was a Sunday
school teacher.
Following retirement she volunteered at South Whitley Elementary School and did tutoring at
Adult Learning Center, Warsaw.
She is survived by sons: Jay (Linda) Warner of North Manchester, Joe (Linda) Warner of South
Bend, and Jan (Sue) Warner of Plymouth; a daughter, Joy (Robert) Stiffler of North Manchester;
stepdaughters, Janet (Richard) Magsig of Dansville, Mich. And Sally (David) Green of Findlay,
Ohio; sisters, Kathryn Metzger of Akron, and Esther Miller of Pierceton; 11 grandchildren; five
step grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 11 step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17 at Manchester Church of the Brethren,
1306 N. Beckley Street, North Manchester.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18 at Manchester Church of the
Brethren, 1306 N. Beckley Street, North Manchester, with Pastor Karen Eberly and Pastor Jamie
Stiffler officiating.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill cemetery, North Manchester.
Memorials may be made to the Wabash County Habitat for Humanity, P.O. Box #213, Wabash,
IN, 46992; Heifer Project International, P.O. Box #8058, Little Rock, AR, 72203 or Visiting Nurse
and Hospice, 5910 Homestead Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46814.
Friends and family are invited to honor Dorothy by sharing a meal, memories and stories with the
family at both the visitation and after the services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to McKee Mortuary, North Manchester.

Carol Ann (Brock) Glassburn
SOUTH BEND -- Carol Ann Glassburn (Brock) 63, departed life at 11:18 p.m. Oct. 16, under the
care of Hospice, after a short bout with cancer.
Carol was born Feb. 1, 1947 in Bremen. She graduated from Bremen High School. She moved
to South Bend when she married Dallas July 13, 1970.
Those left to cherish her memories include a very special mother-in-law, Vada Glassburn; two
children, Paula (Carl) Riley and Christopher Glassburn; three grandchildren: Nakita Glassburn,
Mann Riley, and Marces Riley; great-grandchildren: Da’Nayzia Lanee and Darious Easton Jr. (2),
Chozen Riley, Trey-Shawn and Trinity Fennessee, all of South Bend.
Carol was proceeded in death by her parents, Edward F. and Frieda (Klotz) Brock; grandparents,
Jesse and Ola Klotz; great-grandchildren: Darianna Easton and Darious Jr. Easton (1); and a
brother, Wayne (Betty) Brock.
Services will be at held at 3 p.m., Friday, Oct. 22, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley
Highway, Osceola, with two hours of visitation prior to the service.

Melba Jane (Miller) Kreighbaum
PLYMOUTH -- Melba Jane (Miller) Kreighbaum, 85, died at 12:50 a.m. of natural causes Oct.
16, 2010, at the Silver Oaks Health Campus, Columbus, Ind.
Melba Jane was born in Argos, Ind. Nov. 5, 1924, the daughter of Roy H. and Mojeska A.
Anderson Miller. She graduated from Argos High School with the class of 1943.
March 26, 1944, in Plymouth, Melba Jane and J. Dale Kreighbaum were married . Dale preceded
her in death Nov. 9, 2006.
A devoted homemaker, Melba Jane and Dale enjoyed fishing and traveling together. She did
missionary work and work with Child Evangelism Fellowship through Sunrise Chapel Church
where she and Dale were charter members.
Melba Jane is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law: Dennis and Becky Kreighbaum,
Shelbyville, Ind. And Merlin and Darlene Kreighbaum, Plymouth.
Two grandsons also survive, Jeremy Kreighbaum of Indianapolis, Ind., and J.D. Kreighbaum of
Silvis, Ill.
Melba Jane was preceded in death by her parents; Dale, her husband of 61 years; and her
brother, Norman Miller.
Friends are invited to celebrate the life of Melba Jane Kreighbaum with her family Tuesday, Oct.
19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Sunrise Chapel, 11802 Lincoln Highway, Plymouth.
Funeral services for Melba Jane will take place at 1 p.m. following visitation. The Reverends
Roger Walterhouse and Robert Byler, pastors of the Sunrise Chapel, will officiate.
Burial will be beside her loving husband in Maple Grove cemetery, Argos.
Memorials in Melba Jane’s memory may be made to Sunrise Chapel Church.

Kristina K. Johnson
PLYMOUTH -- Kristina K. Johnson, 59, of 10th B Road Plymouth passed away Sunday, Oct. 17,
2010, at 3:33 p.m., at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.
Kristina was born Aug. 22, 1951, in South Bend, to Ingwald and Arline (Lawmaster) Johnson.
She graduated from Plymouth High School and also Knox Beauty School, Knox.
She became a beautician and worked out of her home. She also worked as a nurse’s aid and
made medical visits to people’s homes. Kristina loved all animals, especially her dogs and her
horses.
Kristina is survived by her brothers, Mike Johnson of Knox and Ingwald Johnson of Plymouth;
her nieces: Jennifer Biglane, Regina McClain, Kristen (Frank) Schittino; her nephew, Ingwald
Johnson IV; her great-nieces: Megan Biglane, Haley King, Carmella Schittino, and Kayle
Johnson; and her great-nephews: Michael “Andy” Biglane, Calvin King, Ryan McClain, and
Brandon McClain.
Kristina was preceded in death by her parents, Ingwald and Arline Johnson and by her niece,
Jocelyn Johnson.
VISITATION: FRIDAY, OCT. 22, 2010, 4 to 6 P.M.

Mary Josephine Albright Bradley
CULVER -- Mary Josephine Albright Bradley, 87, of Culver, died Oct. 18, 2010.
She is survived by her husband, C. Harvey Bradley; daughters, Sally (Jay) Peacock and Jane
(Michael) Bradley Bezdek of Duxbury, Mass.; five grandchildren; a step grandchild; two great grandsons;
and a step great-grandson.
There will be private services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Office of
Development, 32 E. Washington St., Suite 600, Indianapolis, IN, 46204 or to the Lake Wales
Arts Council, 1099 State Road 60 East, Lake Wales, FL, 33853.

Mary Ann BonDurant
BREMEN -- Mary Ann BonDurant, 72, of Bremen, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Rich BonDurant of Bremen; sons, Rick (Maria) BonDurant of
Chesterfield, Mo. And Ronald (Melissa) BonDurant of Elkhart; daughters, Sharon (Mark)
Sahlhoff of Bremen and Susan (Todd) Corl of Bremen; 12 grandchildren; sisters: Eileen
Isenberg of Lakeville and Barbara Sauers of Longhorne, Penn.; a brother, Walter Lee Mangus of
Pecatonica, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct.23, at the Bremen Church of the
Brethren.
Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bremen Food Bank, Center for Hospice Care or Bremen
Church of the Brethren.
The Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ruthie Jean Duffin
PLYMOUTH -- Ruthie Jean Duffin, 73, of Plymouth, died at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010
at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, following a sudden illness.
She is survived by her husband, Oscar Duffin Jr.; a daughter, Maureen Duffin of Plymouth; sons:
Anthony Duffin of Plymouth, Jerome (Kia)Duffin Sr. of Chicago, Ill. Darryl Duffin of Plymouth, and
Michael Duffin of Plymouth; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, James
Sims of Chicago, Ill.
Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25 at the Earl-Grossman Funeral
Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.

Edith L. Anderson Kell
WEST LAFAYETTE -- Edith L. Anderson Kell, 90, of West Lafayette, died at 3:25 a.m. Tuesday,
Oct. 19, 2010 at Mulberry Heath Care.
She is survived by her husband Weldon; a son, Jack Anderson of Costa Rica; daughters: Shirley
(Rick) Stilp of South Bend, Charlene (Larry) Wagner of Nappanee, and Joann Ade of Dayton; a
sister, Aleene Sullivan of Fowler; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 at Hippensteel Funeral Home, West
Lafayette; Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart or Diabetes Association.

Genevieve Nettrouer
DONALDSON -- Genevieve Nettrouer, age 92, of 9601 Union Road, Donaldson, passed away
Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at 6:15 p.m., at the Catherine Kasper Life Care Center, in Donaldson.
Genevieve was born Sept. 13, 1918, in Etna Green, to William E. and Mae L. (Lucas) Elkins.
Genevieve and Charles D. Nettrouer were united in marriage Feb. 6, 1937, in South Bend.
Charles passed away Aug. 24, 1988. The Nettrouer’s moved to Plymouth in 1954. They enjoyed
farming and spending time with their precious family. Genevieve was a member of the First
Baptist Church of Plymouth.
Genevieve is survived by her two daughters, Jeanette (Roger) Phillips of Plymouth, and Shirley
(Alfred) Klinedinst of Plymouth; her three sons: Le Roy (Gerldine) Nettrouer of Lakeville, Charles
(Patricia) Nettrouer of Plymouth, and Jerry (Dianne) Nettrouer of Plymouth; her daughter-in-law
Rinda of Argos; 23 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Genevieve was preceded in death by her father, William Elkins in December of 1926; her
mother, Mae Elkins Smith April 11, 1971; her stepfather, Marvin Smith Dec. 20, 1993; her loving
husband, Charles D. Nettrouer Aug. 24, 1988; her son, Kenneth Nettrouer July 17, 2010; and her
sister, Dorothy Barker Aug. 5, 1976.

HAMLET -- Gerald “Scott” Thompson, 75, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife Judy; daughters, Tina (Joe) Thompson-Martinkus, and Bonnie Bradley,
both of Knox; a son, Scott Jr. (Diane) of North Judson; brothers: David of Knox, Perry of North
Judson, Ronnie of Dyer and Lonnie of Ober; sisters, Nancy Goble of Hamlet and Sharon West of
Ober; two grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. (CDT) Friday, Oct. 22 and one hour prior to services
Saturday at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Crown Hill cemetery.
