HAMLET -- Marie B. Stickley Beron Hardesty, 90, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 in her home.
She is survived by her husband, Lyman “Max” Hardesty; daughters, Beverly Beron Ault of
Plymouth and Karen Hardesty Slone of Hamlet; sons: James Beron of Knox, Max Allen Hardesty
of Knox and John Hardesty of Hamlet; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister,
Joan Mapes of Bristol; and a brother, James (Kay) Seiders of Walkerton.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. (Central Time) Sunday, Oct. 10 and one hour prior to
services Monday at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct.. 11 at the funeral chapel.
Burial will follow at the Fletcher cemetery, Hamlet.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Grovertown or Hamlet United Methodist Churches or
VNA Hospice.
Tracy K. Baca
STURGIS, Mich. -- Tracy K. Baca 32, of Sturgis, Mich., formerly of Rochester, passed away at
12:27 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 in Sturgis, Mich.
She is survived by her children, Nadia Baca of Plymouth, and Alex Baca of Plymouth; parents,
Chuck (Jane) Rupp of Akron, and Sharon (Mike) Clemans of Rochester; sisters, Hannah Rupp
of Akron, and Tammy Tilton of Knox; a grandfather, James Rupp of Rochester; and several
aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside services will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at Odd Fellows cemetery,
Rochester.
Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ruby Montgomery
MARION -- Ruby Montgomery, 75, formerly of the Bruce Lake and Kewanna area, died at 9:26
p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 after a battle with Alzheimer's, at Miller's Merry Manor of Marion.
She is survived by a daughter, Liz (Frank) Moresette of Washington; sons: David Millo of Fulton,
Merrill (Kitty) Millo of Rochester, Richard (Linda) Kowal of Rochester, and Robert (Melissa)
Kowal of Rochester; a sister, Phyllis (Jackie) Howard of Monterey; 10 grandchildren; and several
great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13 at the Good Family Funeral Home
1200 W. 18th St., Rochester.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the Moon cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Humane Society.
Dean Edward Anderson
WALKERTON -- Dean Edward Anderson, 76, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010 in LaPorte Hospital,
LaPorte, after an illness.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; sons, Keith (Kay) Anderson and Todd (Teri) Anderson, all of
Walkerton; four grandchildren; and a sister, Phyllis Lotter of LaPorte.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. (Eastern Time) Wednesday, Oct. 13 and one hour prior
to services Thursday at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at the funeral chapel.
Burial will take place at the Woodlawn cemetery, Walkerton.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Walkerton United Methodist Church.
Peggy Bradford
BREMEN -- Peggy Bradford, 81, of Bremen, died Sunday, Oct. 10, at her residence.
She is survived by her husband, Lester Bradford of Bremen; son, Mike (Jacque) Bradford of
Indianapolis; daughter, Debby (Mike) Bradley of Bremen; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren;
and a sister, Faye Scott of Bremen.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13 at Mishler Funeral Home, 2030
S.R. 331 Bremen.
Funeral services take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14 at the funeral home. Burial will
follow at the Bremen cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bremen United
Methodist Church.
Darwyn D. Singleton
ROCHESTER -- Darwyn D. Singleton, 76, Rochester, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010.
He is survived by his daughters, Robin Knowles of Rochester, Rhonda (William) Lewis of
Rochester; sons, Nathan Singleton of Monterey and Derek Singleton of Warsaw; sisters, Arlowa
(Richard) Jachim of Anderson and Beverly (Howard) Calmus of Lakeville; brothers, Carwyn
Singleton of Mesa, Ariz. And Art (Leona) Singleton of South Bend; five grandchildren; one great grandchild;
and sisters-in-law, Betty Singleton of Rochester and Jean Singleton of North Liberty.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12 at Braman and Son Memorial Chapel,
108 S. Main St., Knox. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13 at the funeral home.
Betty Cable
CULVER -- Betty Cable, 71, Culver, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2010 at St. Joseph Regional Medical
Center, Plymouth.
She is survived by a son, James (Shannon) Cable of Greenfield; brother, Russell Prosser of
Culver; sisters, Velda Craig of Knox, Laurel (Steve) Roush of Culver, Annette Warner of
Minnesota, Nancy (Jim) Manzuk of Knox, Helen Matiya of Culver; and two grandchildren.
There will be no services.
Braman and Son Memorial Chapel, 108 S. Main St., Knox, is assisting the family.
Clayr Lee "Cork" Stones
ROCHESTER -- Clayr Lee “Cork” “Stoney” Stones, 82, of Rochester died at 4:40 p.m. Monday,
Oct. 11 at Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Stones; a daughter, Allyson Lee (Thomas) Harman of Claypool;
mother, Rachel Stones of Port Huron, Mich.; brother, Larry Dean (Christine) Stones of Ruby,
Mich.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 in the Good Family Funeral Home,
1200 W. 18th St., Rochester.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday. Interment will be in the Oakwood
cemetery, Warsaw.
Ilo E. Swick
SARASOTA, Fla. -- Ilo E. Swick, 94, of Sarasota, Fla., died at 1:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 11, 2010
at Arden Courts, Sarasota.
She was born to Harley R. and Minnie (Mattix) Regenos Nov. 5, 1915 in Claypool. She married
Allen L. Swick Dec. 20, 1942 in Akron. He preceded her in death Dec. 27, 1998.
Ilo was a second grade teacher for 40 years in Plymouth and South Bend and has lived in
Florida since 1976. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Bradenton, Fla.
Ilo is survived by her son, Jay (Candy) Swick of Sarasota; three grandsons: Matthew, Mark and
Michael; and one great-granddaughter, Marin.
Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Saturday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m.
Calling hours will be Friday, Oct. 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
Burial will be at Oakwood cemetery, Warsaw. Pastor Jim Beeler will conduct the services.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.

MONTEREY -- Joseph John Minarik, 88, died Oct. 12, 2010 at Golden Living Center, Knox.
She is survived by his wife Dolly; daughters, Cynthia (Wayne) Taylor of Twelve Mile, and Judith
(Jim) Walker of Patoka; sisters, Ella Lockwood of Rochester, and Louise Moore of LaPaz; and
brothers: George Minarik of South Bend, Edward Minarik of North Liberty, and Frank Minarik of
Rochester.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. (CT) Thursday, Oct. 14 at O’Donnell Funeral Home,
Inc., 302 Lane St., North Judson.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15 at the funeral home.

She is survived by sons, Roy Clark of Georgetown, Ky., and John Clark of Hamlet; six
grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ramona Tuttle of Grovertown; and a brother, Bill
Hanselman of Hamlet.

Saturday at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel.

Violet J. Ray
KEWANNA -- Violet J. Ray, 71, a resident of Kewanna, died at her residence Wednesday
evening, Oct. 13 at 10:10 p.m.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Ray; daughters, Judy Lynn Reed of Plymouth, Beth Ann
(Jeff) Aker of Zephyrhills, Fla., Wendy Jo (Fred) Berkeypile of Plymouth; son, James Robert
(Karen) Ray of Argos; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Loretta Keehn
of Walkerton, Shirley DeBow, Elizabeth Ward Barbara (George) Dickerson, Joseph (Janet)
Gaines and Roger (Denise) Gaines all of Plymouth, and Brenda Carter of Argos.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 in the Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St. Plymouth. Services will follow visitation at 1 p.m. in the
funeral home. The Rev. Glen Mitchell will officiate.

Donald A. Rowe
PLYMOUTH -- Donald A. Rowe, 67 of 11288 Shady Lane Drive Plymouth, died Wednesday,
Oct. 13, 2010 at 8:45 p.m. in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after a three-year battle with
cancer.
He had been a resident of Plymouth since 1978 coming from Starke County.
He was born at home in Bass Lake, Ind. Aug. 11, 1943 to Harold C. and Viola J. (Jett) Rowe. He
attended Knox Schools and graduated from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis with the
class of 1961.
Don attended Palomar College in California and Purdue West Central studying drafting and
engineering.
He served his country proudly from 1962 to 1966 in the United States Air Force. Aug. 20, 1966 in
Chicago, Ill., in the Ravenswood Fellowship United Methodist Church, he married
Kathryn E.
Gager, whom he met following a waitressing accident.
Don worked for more than 35 years at National Steel as a computer operator. He later worked at
Family Express in Plymouth and also for Culver Academy until 2008. Don was a country and
western line dance instructor for 20 years at locations like the Webster Center, Moose Lodge,
VFW and communities of Nappanee, Culver and Knox.
His memberships include the Plymouth Moose Lodge and VFW Auxiliary. He enjoyed
entertaining people as a D.J., whom he was affectionately known as “Muckwater” as the owner
and operator of Don’s D.J. and Karaoke. He spent numerous hours volunteering for the Special
Olympic dances at the Logan Center.
He spent his free time gardening, bowling and golfing. He also enjoyed playing flight simulator on
his computer and talking on his C B and Ham radio. Don always made time for his two cats and
dog.
Don is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kathryn, and his daughter and granddaughter Cheryl A.
Rowe of Milwaukee, Wis. And Ahriaz C. Rowe of Tomah, Wis.
He is also survived by his sister, Gloria Speck, Hebron, Ind. And his brother, William E. Rowe of
Knox, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17 in the Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Services will follow visitation at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Charles Krieg will officiate.
Military honors will be accorded to him by the Plymouth American Legion Post #27, the VFW
Post #1162 and the local DAV chapter following the funeral service.

Dell Virgil Anglemyer
BREMEN -- Dell Virgil Anglemyer, 74, of Bremen, died Oct. 14, 2010 in Goshen.
He is survived by a daughter, Debra A. Anglemyer; sons: Lee (Janet) Anglemyer, Jeff A.
Anglemyer, Steven S. Anglemyer and Daniel (Kathy) Anglemyer; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren;
sisters, Beth (Lyle) Mayhew and Linda Jensen; and a brother, David Anglemyer.
Visitation will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18 in Oakhaven Community, 500 S.
Montgomery St., Bremen.
There will be no services.
