BOURBON -- Donald Nelson Holloway, 79, Bourbon, died at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010
at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Holloway of Bourbon; a son, Edson (Jolene Wines) Holloway of
Yelm, Wash.; daughters: Cheryl (Joel) Holloway Crist of Peru, Ind., Donna (David) Holloway
Shafer of Logansport, and Teresa (D. L. “Mike”) Holloway Tomlinson, Jr. of Cortland, Ohio;
stepdaughter, Janice (Lyle) Grindle Enyeart of Claypool; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren;
and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation took place from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 24, at New Life Christian Church, 744 S.
325 E, Warsaw, IN, 46582. Funeral services will take place at 5 p.m. Friday, June 25 at the church.
Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26 at Akron cemetery, Akron. Memorial

Norma Jean Clevenger Lemley
KOONTZ LAKE -- Norma Jean Clevenger Lemley, 80, of Oregon, formerly of Koontz Lake, died
Tuesday, June 22, 2010 in her home in Lebanon, Ore.
She is survived by her husband, Charles of Lebanon; daughter, Diana Lobosky of Paoli, Ind.;
brothers, Robert Myers of Lebanon and Harley (Shirley) Myers of Walkerton; eight grandchildren
and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. (Eastern Time) until the time of services Friday, July 2 at
Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at the Woodlawn cemetery, Walkerton.
Michael T. Bradley
PLYMOUTH -- Michael T. Bradley, 58, of 601 West Garro St., Plymouth, passed away
Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at 9:41 a.m., in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
Michael was born on March 6, 1952, in Plymouth, to Conrad and Wilda (Hibnar) Bradley. He
attended South Bend Schools, but had lived in Plymouth about half of his life. He was in
construction, but as he always stated, “he was a jack of all trades, but a master of none.” He was
a member of the Plymouth Moose Lodge #741, the Pirates of the Conch Key West, Fla., and the
River Dale Dancers, Plymouth. Mike helped his friends and family, with anything that he could,
when he was asked. He lived his life to the fullest every day. Mike lived his Christian faith. He
attended the Plymouth Baptist Church.
Mike is survived by his son, M. Shane (Arlene) Bradley of Argos; his sisters, Rebecca (Tom)
Lovern of Huntsville, Ala., Brenda (Steve) Shearer of Milford, and Kathy (Jeff) Guy of South
Bend; his grandchildren, Courtney, Riley, and Christina; and his step-grandson, Brent Ross. He
was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Patrick A. Bradley.

Melvin R. Collins
ROCHESTER -- Melvin R. Collins, 81, of 2745 E. St. Rd. 14 Rochester, passed away at 8:56
p.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.
Mel is survived by his wife, Gladise, at home; three children: Cathy (Jean Paul) Losch of
Rochester, Kenneth (Karen) Collins of Rochester, and Christine (Gary) Bryant of Rochester;
seven grandchildren; four great-grandchhildren; three sisters: Eva Reese of Fishers, Alberta
"Birdie" Smith of Rochester, and Mildred Emigh of Rochester; and one brother: Merl Collins of
Rochester.
A celebration of the life of Mel Collins will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010 in the Good
Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8
p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be in the
Rochester IOOF cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the LeRoy Shelton
American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Memorials may be made to the Rochester High School Scholarship Fund.
Mary Margaret Moore
KOKOMO -- Mary Margaret Moore, 43, former Plymouth and South Bend resident, died
Wednesday, June 23 in St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo.
She is survived by a daughter, Amanda Thron of Medaryville; sons, Kenneth Daren, Jr. of
Plymouth and Charles W. Force of Kokomo; two grandchildren; sisters, Mariellen Nice of Red
Hill, Pa. and Margo Whalen of South Bend; and brother, Robin Boyd of South Bend.
Visitation will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 29 at the Welsheimer Family Funeral
Home, 521 N. William St., South Bend.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Norma Kay Jahr
WALKERTON -- Norma Kay Jahr, 69, died Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton.
She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Jahr of Walkerton; two grandchildren; and a brother,
Bruce Kerr of Portage.
Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. (ET) Monday, June 28 at Rannells Funeral Home,
Koontz Lake Chapel.
Funeral services will take place at 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
Donna L. Noble
KOONTZ LAKE -- Donna L. Noble, 49, died June 24, 2010 in her home.
Survivors include: husband, Michael; daughter, Elizabeth Noble of Koontz Lake and father,
Robert D. Relos of North Liberty.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. CDT at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel
where friends may call Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and Monday after 10 a.m.
Verne R. Heims
PLYMOUTH -- Verne R. Heims, 93, of 14952 11th Road, Plymouth, passed away Friday, June
25, 2010, at 7:57 a.m., at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, in Plymouth. After a long illness, he went
home to be with the Lord.
Verne turned 93 in April. He was the son of Sam and Arzella (Franks) Heims, born April 28,
1917, in Pulaski County.
He married
Janet Ileen Hoffman, who will soon be 95. They lived in Winamac, until 1955, when
they moved to Plymouth. Verne attended Winamac High School, served in the Army during
WWII, was a part-time farmer, and retired from Young Door Company (now Jel-Wen Door Company).
He and Janet were the parents of three children. He loved his Plymouth High School sports
teams, fancied himself as an expert at horse shoes, a poet, and a collector of neckties. He and
Janet were longtime members of the Ora (Indiana) Gospel Chapel, where he was a faithful Bible
preacher.
Verne is survived by wife, Janet Heims of Plymouth; their oldest daughter, Sharon (Juan)
Jimenez, who has lived in Spain since 1967; their middle child, Roselyn Heims of Forest Lake,
Ill.; and their most excellent son, Stephen Heims of Plymouth, who has taken good care of his
aging parents for many years; three grandchildren: Esteban Jimenez, Ana Marea (Ricardo)
Cuesta, and Yolanda Jimenez all of Spain; and his sister, Velma (Harold) Warner of Argos.
Verne was preceded in death by his brothers: George, Ralph, Charley, and Merlyn; his sister,
Aderine; and his twin sister, Vera.

PLYMOUTH -- Michael H. Collmer, 57, of Plymouth, died at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010
at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.
He is survived by his wife Pam; her children: Rich (Christy) Rospopo of Argos, Justin Rospopo of
Plymouth, Angie (Karl) Lichtsinn of Walkerton and Chantelle Rospopo of Walkerton; five
step grandchildren; and a brother, John Collmer of Niles, Mich.
Memorial services will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Izaak Walton League
Clubhouse, 7184 16th Road, southwest of Argos.

PLYMOUTH -- Paul Graham, 77, of Plymouth, died at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010 at
Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home.
He is survived by sons: Randy Graham, Terry Graham, Robert (Marie) Graham and John
Graham, all of Plymouth; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 30 at New Oakhill cemetery Chapel,
Plymouth.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
Burial will follow at New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.

2010 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife Julie; sons, Dylan Franklin Summers and Rhett Dalton Summers;
sisters, Karen (Richard) Waltz of Rochester and Linda (Rich) Migonis of Rochester; and several
nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 30 at Good Family Funeral Home,
1200 W. 18th St. Rochester.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Military rites will be conducted by the LeRoy Shelton American Legion and the Veterans of

Treva Fern Slabaugh
NAPPANEE -- Treva Fern Slabaugh, 88, of Nappanee, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, June 28,
2010 at her residence.
She is survived by sons: Robert (Irene) Slabaugh of Lott, Texas, Lloyd (Martha) Slabaugh of
Goshen, and Harlan (Rita) Slabaugh of Nappanee; daughters: Joan (Herbert) Lehman of
Nappanee, Laura (Jacob) Helmuth of Sarasota, Fla., and Sharon (Eldon) Christner of Goshen;
33 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Clara
Burkholder of Bremen.
Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 29 and all day Wednesday, June 30 at the
Ernie Whetstone residence, 2141 Beech Road.
Funeral services will take place at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 1 at the Whetstone residence.
Burial will follow at Weldy cemetery.

William Gilpin
PLYMOUTH -- William Gilpin, 86, of Plymouth, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at
Hospice House of Saint Joseph County.
William was born July 30, 1923.
Surviving are his wife, Emmie Gilpin of Plymouth; two sons, Bill Gilpin of South Bend and Scott
Gilpin of Plymouth; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a
brother, Don Gilpin of South Bend.
William was preceded in death by his children, Diana and Michael Gilpin.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 3 at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens,
Osceola.

AKRON -- Reba Lucille Honkomp, 87, Akron, formerly of Macy, died at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, June
29, 2010 at her residence.
She is survived by daughters, Nancy (Robert) Dell of Rochester, and Reba (Dennis) Derryberry
of Akron; sons: Daniel (Pete) Geller of Culver, Richard (Paulette) Geller of Monterey, and
William (Lori) Geller of Knox; stepsons, Bernard (Reba) Honkomp Jr. of Peru, Ind. and John
(Becky) Honkomp of Rochester; 39 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great grandchildren.
