Paul Albert Replogle
BREMEN -- Paul Albert Replogle, 65, of Bremen, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the
Community Hospital of Bremen.
He was born June 28, 1944 in Walhalla, Mich. to Wilbur and Rita (White) Replogle. Aug. 1,
1975 he married
Joy Carothers; she preceded him in death in 2008.
Paul graduated from Bremen High School in 1962 and was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He
was a retired supervisor at Almega Wire in Bremen and member of the Bremen VFW.
Survivors include a daughter, Tina Hollett of Bremen; granddaughter, Erin Paulina Hollett; and
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and one brother.
Funeral services were private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Michael Allen Frazier
WALKERTON -- Michael Allen Frazier, 56, died Monday, May 10, 2010 in St. Joseph Regional
Medical Center, Plymouth.
Michael was born July 6, 1953 in LaPorte, to Daniel and Phyllis (Depoy) Frazier and lived there
the last five years coming from Alaska.
He is survived by a son, Gregory (Sarah) Frazier of Teegarden; grandchildren, Conner and
Hazel; parents, Daniel and Phyllis Frazier of Walkerton; brothers, Steve Frazier of Oklahoma
City, Okla., David Frazier of Wabash, and Tim Frazier of Elkhart; and foster sister, Bonnie Olsen
of Michigan City.
Michael was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, LaPaz.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. Eastern Time at Calvary Baptist Church, LaPaz, with
Pastor Ryan Wardlow officiating.
Burial will be at the Woodlawn cemetery, Walkerton, where military graveside services will be
conducted.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Eastern Time at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz
Lake Chapel, and Friday at the church one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Calvary Baptist Church.
Beverly June Jennings
ARGOS -- Beverly June Jennings, 77, of Argos, formerly of Pleasant Lake, died at 6:55 p.m.
Monday, May 10, 2010 at her daughter’s residence after a five-year battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband, Loren; daughters, Cheri (Dewayne) Cheramie of Norton, Ohio;
and Jeanie (Chris) Brown of Argos; a son, Chris Jennings of Lansing, Mich.; five grandchildren;
one great-grandchild; sisters, Donna (Earl) Gates of Mount Pleasant, Mich. And Jean Nunnallee
of Lavernia, Texas; and brothers, Leon (Lois) Hapner of Comstock, Mich. And Carl (Hazel)
Hapner of Chiefland, Fla.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 14 at the Earl - Grossman Funeral Home,
208 N. Michigan St, Argos and one hour prior to services Saturday.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15 at First Baptist Church, 11525 S.R.
10 W., Argos.
Burial will take place at Maple Grove cemetery, Argos.

Paul Dean Rager
PLYMOUTH – Paul Dean Rager, 86, a Pretty Lake area resident in Plymouth, died in his home
following an illness, at 5:16 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2010.
The son of Paul W. Rager and Henrietta (Williamson) Rager, he was born March 23, 1924. April
2, 1967, he married
Barbara A. McKinney in Anderson. She survives.
Dean was a Veteran of WWII, serving as a paratrooper with the 334th, a special unit attached to
the 101st Screaming Eagles Airborne Division. He served from 1943 to 1946 in Italy and France.
He graduated from Pierceton High School in 1942 and Manchester College in 1949. He went on
to receive a master’s in Administration and Education from Indiana University in 1954.
Dean served many years in the education field. He was a high school teacher and coach at
Sidney H.S. from 1949 to 1950. He taught fifth grade in the Monticello School System and
served as junior high track and football coach from 1954 to 1959. He spent six years as the
South Whitley High School principal from 1959 to 1965 and 12 years as the Akron Elementary
and Jr. High principal from 1965 to 1977. His last principal’s position was at West Elementary
from 1977 to 1990 in Plymouth.
After retirement in 1990 Dean served as a student teacher supervisor for Ball State University
and IUSB. In the fall of 2000 he was asked to serve as the interim principal for Webster School
in Plymouth.
Dean was a past member of the South Whitley and Akron Lions Clubs and Akron United
Methodist Church. He served as president of District Area #5 of the Indiana Association of
School Principals. He was also a past member of Plymouth Country Club and served on the board.
Dean had numerous hobbies which included photography; he took many weddings and school
yearbook pictures.
He was a life member of the U.S. Chess Federation and taught hundreds of children to play
chess that attended his schools and at the Plymouth Boys and Girls Clubs. Along with several of
his friends, he built six Y-Flyer sailboats and helped start the Y-Flyer Fleet on Winona Lake and
served as the Fleet Commander. Later, when he moved to Akron, he sailed C Scows on Lake
Manitou, Rochester, and served as the Fleet Commander. Dean was also an avid golfer while a
member of Plymouth Country Club.
He loved to write and penned numerous short stories and poems. As an avid reader he always
had a book by his side.
Dean is also survived by three daughters: Pam and Mike McFarland of Akron, Rene and Shauli
Rosen-Rager of Hemet, Calif., and Christa Smith of Zionsville; one son, Delmar Rager of New
Orleans, La.; five grandchildren: Bethany, Ryan, Yoni, Chelsea, and Austin; and one great grandchild.
One brother, Jack Rager of Pierceton; and two sisters, Marilee Bailey of Pierceton
and Nancy Schuman of Del Norte, Colo., also survive.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Judith Rager.
As were Dean’s wishes there will be no visitation or public services, a family memorial
celebration will be held at a later date.

Club, 314 E. Jefferson St., Plymouth, IN, 46563, the Plymouth Public Library, 201 N. Center St.,
Plymouth. or to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 112 S. Center St., Suite C, Plymouth.

FORT WAYNE -- Ralph J. Brooks, 59, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Patty; a son, Randy (Gina) Brooks of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Brenda
Brooks of Fort Wayne; his father, James E. Brooks, of Marion, Ind. and Paducah, Ky.; sisters:
Pauline Ott of Marion, Margie (Kenny) Pitman of Murfressboro, Tenn., Mary (Steve) Martz, of
Mesa, Ariz., Eunice (Randy) Janne of Paducah, Ky.; a brother, Ray (Mary) Brooks of Gallatin,
Tenn; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 15 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton,
Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Van Buren cemetery, Van Buren.

Laura M. Fish
ROCHESTER -- Laura M. Fish, 87, a lifetime Marshall County and Fulton County resident died
at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at her residence.
She is survived by a daughter, Gloria J. Swing of Kewanna; a son, Everett M. (Martha) Fish of
Lake City, Fla.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brothers, Lawrence Weaver of
Acampo, Calif., and Bob Weaver of Plymouth.
Visitation will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, May 17 at Johnson-Danielson Funeral
Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Guardian Angel Hospice.
Florence A. Hepler Fleck
WAKARUSA -- Florence A. Hepler, Fleck, 88, of Wakarusa, died at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, May
12, 2010 at Miller’s Merry Manor.
She is survived by sisters, Ruth (Merlin) Yoder of Nappanee and Donnabelle (Edward) Monhaut
of Nappanee; brothers: Eldon Hepler of Jacksonville, Fla., Allen (Marge) Hepler of South Bend,
Willard “Bill” Hepler of Nappanee, Richard (Marlene) Hepler of Apache Junction, Ariz., and
Russell (Ardala) Hepler of LaGrange; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder
Funeral Home 950 N. Main St., Nappanee.
Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 15 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Oakridge cemetery, Goshen.

Sharon L. Lemeron
WINAMAC -- Sharon F. Lemeron, 64, of Winamac, died Wednesday, May 12 at Caring Hands
Healthcare and Rehab, Peru, Ind.
She is survived by a daughter, Kelly (Carl) Steele, Peru; brothers, Edgar (Delores) Scroggins of
Evans City, Penn. and Edward Scroggins of Ogden Dunes; a sister, Beverly (Alan) Pasley of
Houston, Texas; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.

Richard L. Cummings
NAPPANEE -- Richard Lawrence Cummins, 69, of Nappanee, passed away at 12:20 p.m.
Thursday, May 13, 2010 at home in the presence of his loving family, after an extended illness.
A lifelong resident of Plymouth until his retirement from farming, Richard is survived by his wife
of 47 years, Donna J. (Mellott) Cummins; daughter, Kimberly and Larry Conrad of Goshen; son,
Brent and Tamara Cummins of Granger; and daughter, Darla and Chris Lingle of Wakarusa.
Grandchildren include: Lindsay Allen, Jacob Allen, William Espich, Chelsea Allen, Emma
Cummins, Hannah Cummins, Danielle Lingle, Luke Lingle, Claire Lingle, and one great granddaughter,
Kierstyn Allen. Also surviving is his brother, Allen and Marjorie Cummins of
Lafayette; and brothers-in-law, John (Donna) Mellott and Larry (Nancy) Mellott of Etna Green.
With great appreciation, the family thanks Lynn and Jeannie Crothers for their enduring friendship.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, George A. Cummins and Ruth (Lawrence)
Cummins-Hohman of Plymouth.
Richard was a lifelong farmer. In retirement, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his
grandchildren. He also enjoyed restoring antique tractors and gas pumps.
A 1958 graduate of LaPaz High School, he attended Purdue University, was an active member
of Shiloh Wesleyan Church, Plymouth, until moving to Nappanee, where he attended the First
Church of God.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 18 in the Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, where services will be conducted
by Rev. Sam Bennett, pastor of the First Church of God, at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will follow
in the New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.

Joan Kline Yoder
BREMEN -- Joan Kline Yoder, 85, of Bremen, died Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the Bremen
Health Care Center.
She is survived by her half-brother Ned Maxey of High Point, N.C. and a nephew.
Visitation will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 17 at The Bremen cemetery Chapel.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be
