KNOX -- Lillian Colene (Givens) Hardt, 75, of Knox, died Monday, April 12, 2010 at Starke
Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by sons, Randy (Crystal) Givens of Walkerton, Ron Givens of Texas, Hobert
Givens of Knox, Jack (Bessie) Givens of Knox; a daughter, Donna (Doyle) Fisher of Knox;
sister, Jannette Jeter of Memphis, Tenn.; brother, John Purser of Tennessee; 19 grandchildren;
and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, at Braman & Son Funeral Home,
108 S. Main St., Knox.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 15 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Round Lake cemetery.
Julia A. "Judy" Hite
PLYMOUTH -- Julia A. "Judy" Hite, 69, of Plymouth, died at 2:52 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2010 at
St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.
She is survived by her husband Charles "Robert"; daughters Cathy (Gary) Weaver of Claypool
and Vanessa (Rev. Robert) O'Dell of Pierceton; three grandchildren; four great-granddaughters;
and brothers: Steve (Debra) Utter of Rochester, and James Utter, Steve (Debra) Utter, Joe Utter
and Mark (Jackie) Utter, all of Logansport.
A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, April 16 at Oakwood cemetery, Warsaw.

Victoria Notorangelo McDaniel
WILLOWBROOK, Ill. -- Victoria Notorangelo McDaniel, 57, died Monday, April 12, 2010 at her
residence.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; parents, Nicholas and Joan Notorangelo; daughters:
Dana Marie, Jennifer (Ross) McDaniel Baiza and Meghan Molly McDaniel; brothers: Michael
(Laura), Nicholas Jr. (Tyra), and John (Jessica) and Joseph; and sister-in-law Patricia McDaniel
Kuntz; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 14 at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home,
4727 W. 103 St., Oak Lawn, IL, 60453.
Services will take place beginning at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, April 15 at the funeral home to St.
Bernadette Church, with a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Bernadette Church.
Cremation will be private.

Ambrose Mathew Pozorski
PLYMOUTH -- Ambrose Mathew Pozorski, 84, died at 10:20 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2010 in
Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
Born in Browerville, Minn., Feb. 15, 1926, Ambrose was the son of Felix and Gertrude Ostrowski
Pozorski. He attended Monterey High School and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the
Pacific from 1945 to 1946.
Aug. 6, 1949 in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Ambrose and Loretta A. Harness were married
.
Loretta died Nov. 4, 2000.
Ambrose was the owner-operator of the DX Station in Plymouth. He also worked as heavy
equipment operator with the Operating Engineers Local 150
Ambrose enjoyed his time with his family and friends on Lake Maxinkuckee on his pontoon boat.
He liked playing cards and socializing with his many friends and family members.
Ambrose was active in and a member of the Moose, Eagles, VFW and American Legion.
Ambrose is survived by his son, Gregory Mathew Pozorski of Argos; and by three sisters:
Florence “Polly” Matthews of Winfield, Kansas, Mary Ann Best of Indianapolis, Evelyn “Lindy”
Pozorski of Plymouth; and a brother, Francis Joseph Pozorski of Kokomo.
Ambrose was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and three sisters: Berniece Davis,
Sister Mary Victoria Pozorski, Margaret “Peggy” Pozorski; and two brothers, Stanley Pozorski,
and Lawrence “Larry” Pozorski.
Friends will be welcomed to share memories with Ambrose’s family at the Johnson-Danielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday April 15 where a
rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.
Father William Kummer, pastor of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 611 N. Center St.,
Plymouth, of which he was a member, will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial in the church
at 11 a.m. Friday April 16.
Burial will be in the New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth, with full military rites conducted by the
Plymouth American Legion and Plymouth VFW.

Max Wolfe
WALKERTON -- Max Wolfe, 86, of Walkerton, died Tuesday, April 12, 2010 after a brief illness.
He is survived by his sisters: Mary Bowers of Yorba Linda, Calif. and June (John) Schulte of
Indianapolis; two nieces; a nephew; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. (EST) Friday, April 16, at the the Nusbaum-Elkin
Funeral Home, 408 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Westlawn cemetery, North Liberty.

Ferris B. Zechiel
CULVER -- Ferris B. Zechiel, 101, a Culver resident his entire life, was born June 9, 1908 and
died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in Miller’s Merry Manor, Culver.
Ferris was the son of Jesse E. and Nora Pearl (Hatten) Zechiel.
He was married
Oct. 19, 1933 to Leona J. Grosvenor in Tipp City, Ohio. She preceded him in
death Feb. 5, 2009.
Ferris was a lifetime farmer and a generous, kindhearted, godly man who enjoyed practical
jokes. His passing will leave a void in the hearts of many.
Ferris is survived by his children, Larry (Ruth) Zechiel and Betty (Stan) Reinholt; grandchildren:
Susan (Marty) Mansfield, Dean (Tina) Zechiel, Jo Ann Zechiel, Ryan (Mindi) Reinholt, and Beth
(Rob) Herzog; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Elisabeth Davis, as well as many nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Ann and a
sister, Marguerite Zechiel.
Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (EDT) Saturday, April 17 at the Odom
Funeral Home, Culver, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m.
Interment will follow at Culver Masonic cemetery.

Kevin L. Higgins
NAPPANEE -- Kevin L. Higgins, 45, of Nappanee, died at 8:39 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 in
Noble County.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy Higgins of Bremen; a son, Gerald D. Higgins of Warsaw; a
brother, Kenny Higgins of Nappanee; a sister, Terry (Tom) Miller of Carmel; and many nieces
and nephews.
A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17 at Bremen cemetery.

L. Mike Miser
WALKERTON -- L. Mike Miser, 82, passed away in his home Thursday, April 15, 2010.
Mr. Miser was born in Starke County, Ind. to John and Edna (Spaid) Miser and lived in the area
all of his life.
Jan. 4, 2000 in Plymouth, he was married
to the former Sharon Kraft.
Miser was a former truck driver for Advance Transformer of Chicago. He was a member of the
Michiana Racers Hall of Fame, the Plymouth Speedway Hall of Fame and the Indiana Racing
Association.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; five daughters: Vivian Miser of Aurora, Colo., Janice Lamb of
Plymouth, Beverly (Jeff) Beach of Detroit, Mich., Sharon (Mike) Houin of Argos and Penny Byron
of Centennial, Colo.; one son, Michael Miser of Plymouth; 13 grandchildren; several great grandchildren;
and one sister, Phylis Jean Amor of Plymouth.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Samuel and Lloyd Miser; and sisters: Iva
Mrozinski, Lowaine Stanton, Retha Beem, Audrey Taylor and Opal Neiswender.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. (ET) Sunday, April 18 and one hour prior to the services
Monday at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 19 at the funeral chapel with Pastor Thomas
Padberg officiating.
Burial will be at the Polk Township cemetery, Walkerton.

Carl Ward, Sr. Redinger
TROY, Mich. -- Carl Ward Redinger Sr., age 72, of Armada Township. Mich. and San Benito,
Texas, formerly of Troy, Mich. passed away Friday, April 16, 2010 in San Benito.
He was born July 24, 1937 in Argos, to the late Ward and Virginia Redinger. He graduated
from Argos High School in 1955. He moved to Michigan in 1956, when he married
Ginny Hill.
Carl retired from State Trucking in 1994 and the Troy Volunteer Fire Department in 1994.
Carl is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ginny; daughter, Karen (Keith) Anderson of Warren,
Mich.; and son, Carl, Jr. (Cheryl) of Armada Township. Mich.; grandsons: Paul (Anna) Garman
of Warren, Mich., Neil (fianceé Heather Clark) of Round Rock, Texas, Brendan, Derek and
Conner Redinger of Armada Township, Mich.; and three great-grandsons: Josh Olter, and
Dominic and Christian Garman of Warren. Mich.; siblings Arthur (Sally) of Liberty, Mich.; Joy
(Ron) Evard of South Bend; Charles (Linda) of Argos; and Lee of Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathryn, and his parents.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 22 at Price Funeral Home, 3725 Rochester
Road (between Big Beaver and Wattles Roads), Troy, Mich., with the Firefighters’ Memorial
Service at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 23 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Christian Memorial cemetery, 521 East Hamlin Road, Rochester Hills, Mich.

Willow Mattaline Watson
PLYMOUTH -- Willow Mattaline Watson, was stillborn April 16, 2010 at Saint Joseph Regional
Medical Center, Plymouth.
She is survived by parents Corie E. Sampson-Young of LaPaz and Matthew S. Watson of
Auburn; siblings: Hayley, Taylor, Abbigal, Zoey, Kayla, Gage and Ryan; maternal grandmother,
Mary (Ralph) Young of LaPaz; maternal grandfather, Ed Sampson of Mishawaka; paternal
grandparents Steve and Sherri Watson of Auburn; and maternal great-grandmother, Dora
Lancaster-McLean of Lakeville.
A graveside service will take place at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 20 at Woodlawn cemetery.

Roger A. Pearson
PLYMOUTH -- Roger A. Pearson, living with his daughter, Debra Pearson, 13451 Olive Trail,
died of natural causes at 10:40 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, in St. Joseph Regional Medical
Center, Plymouth. He was 76 years old.
A lifetime Plymouth resident, Roger was born in Plymouth Nov. 7, 1933, the son of Amos and
Ruth Smith Pearson. Roger attended Lincoln High school and in 1953 he married
Hilma Stiles in
Plymouth. Roger loved Hilma as much today as he did on his wedding day.
He served his country in the United States Army and later worked as a route salesman for the
Coca Cola Bottling Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1984. Roger enjoyed bird watching, hunting and
fishing.
He was an expert marksman and liked traveling to Daytona Beach, Fla., to visit with his family.
Roger was a sports enthusiast and also enjoyed watching horse racing.
He was a lifetime member of Moose Lodge 741. He also belonged to the Plymouth American
Legion Post #27 and VFW Post #1162.
Roger is survived by three daughters: Rose M. Wilson, Daytona Beach, Fla.; Debra A. Pearson,
Plymouth; and Ruth I. (Miguel) Briones, Deland, Fla. Six grandchildren and six great
grandchildren survive as well, and a brother, Jack (Bev) Pearson, Plymouth. Several nieces,
nephews and cousins also survive.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother, Tom Pearson.
Friends are welcome to share memories with Roger’s family from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April
21, at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.
A Loyal Order of the Moose service for Roger will be held at 7 p.m.
Roger’s funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010, in the funeral home. The Rev.
Charles Krieg will officiate.
Interment will be in New Oakhill cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Plymouth
American Legion and VFW and D.A.V.
