Georgina M. Onofre
PLYMOUTH -- Georgina 'Gina' M. Onofre, 35, of Plymouth, died Monday morning, Sept. 19,
2011.
She is survived by five children: Tyler Lee Stiles, Shawn Austin Stiles, Cruz Anthony Galanda all
of Plymouth and Monica Marie Onofre and Joseph Armando Onofre of Pueblo, Mexico; mother,
Cynthia and stepfather, Harold Tabor Sr. of Plymouth; father, Dallas Galanda of Baroda, Mich.;
sister, Sarah E. Tabor and brother, Harold W. Tabor Jr. both of Plymouth; and grandmothers,
Dorothy M. Pope of Plymouth, and Ida Mae Galanda of Bridgman, Mich.
No services are planned at this time. Burial will be in the Graceland cemetery at Bridgman, Mich.
The Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth is assisting with arrangements.

Gordon Leroy Betcher
ROCHESTER -- Gordon Leroy Betcher, 72, of 2817 Barrett Road, Rochester died at 11:16
a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 at Woodlawn Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy, at home; sons, David (Lisa) Betcher of Naperville, Ill., Dan
(Karla) Betcher of Rochester; sister, Shirley (Hank) Kirschsieper of Ridgecrest, Calif.; and eight
grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W.
18th St., Rochester. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and one hour prior to the service in
the funeral home Sunday.
Burial will be in the Fulton cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Fulton County Cancer Fund through the Northern Indiana
Community Foundation.
Marjorie Ellen Inwood
SOUTH BEND -- Marjorie Ellen Inwood, residing in South Bend, passed away at 1 a.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 at the Michiana Health & Rehabilitation Center, Mishawaka. She was
81 years old.
She was born Oct. 30, 1929 in Plymouth, a daughter of Olen O. and Nellie Ruth (Kepler) York,
and has been a lifelong resident of Marshall and St. Joseph Counties.
Marge retired in 1990 following 30 years as a secretary with Associates Investment Co., Bendix
Corp., and Allied Stamping. She was an active member of Order of Eastern Star Lakeville
Chapter #479, and Osceola Chapter #598. She was also a 50-year member of Social Order of
the Beauceant-Elkhart Assembly #129.
May 5, 1951 in Plymouth, Marge and Robert Hollis were united in marriage. He preceded her in
death in March of 1998. She was also preceded by a brother, Roger O. York. Marge is survived
by her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth A. 'Beth' and Doug Gargis of South Bend, her son
and daughter-in-law, Michael A. and Tamara Inwood of South Bend, a granddaughter, Holly L.
Rimel of South Bend, three step grandchildren, Steven Gargis, Ellaina (Erich) Bishop, Mitchell
Baker Beck, and one step great-granddaughter, Esme’.
Memorial services and an Eastern Star service will be at noon, Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011 at the
Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, where the family
will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Keith Stork will officiate. Graveside
services and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Expressions of sympathy on behalf of Mrs. Inwood may be offered to The Center for Hospice

Reed, Jr. Jacobs
ROCHESTER -- Reed Jacobs Jr., 67, of Rochester died Sept. 20, 2011 at Pulaski Health Care
Center, Winamac.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jacobs of Rochster; daughter, Leslie (Rodney) Hawkey of
Kewanna; son, Brian (Janora) Jacobs of Rochester; sisters, Katherine Allen of Knox, Mary Back
of Knox, Evelyn Brewer of LaPorte, Barbara Fugate of Medaryville, Londia Vickers of Walkerton;
brothers, Raymond Jacobs of Bremen, John Jacobs of Knox; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is Friday, Sept. 23 from 4 to 8 p.m. CDT at O’Donnell Funeral Home, Inc., North
Judson, and after 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at Free United Baptist Church, North Judson.
Service will be Saturday, Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. at Free United Baptist Church.
Burial will be at Highland cemetery, North Judson.
Sherman Kay Poole
ELKHART -- Sherman Kay Poole, 67, residing in Elkhart, passed away Tuesday afternoon,
Sept. 20, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. He was born July 4, 1944 in Wabash, to
Gerald and Icle Virginia (Clark) Singleton Poole.
He married
Sharon A. Denaway June 14, 2003 in Elkhart. She survives along with a son, Aaron
Poole of Granger; daughter, Sara (Jevon) Wood of Noblesville; stepson; Matthew (Kimberly)
Denaway of Granger and a stepdaughter, Andrea Vincenski of Spring, Texas. Surviving as well
are six grandchildren, Rosie, Amara, Simon, Gavin, Addison and Brendon; a brother, Jerry
(Phyllis) Poole of Nashville, Tenn. and his sister, Mary (Everett) Tisdale of Wabash and sister-inlaw,
Janet Poole of Wabash. Preceding him in death are his parents and stepfather Ruskin
Singleton, brother Gary Poole and his grandson Mason Robert Poole.
Sherman worked for 28 years at the Defense Logistics Agency, and served for 34 years in the
Armed Forces with the United States Navy during Vietnam and then with the United States Air
Force. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and worked at the school
for many years. He was a Notre Dame fan and a member of the Elkhart Moose Lodge, VFW
Post 88, Knights of Columbus Council #1043 and the Gold Wing Riders Assoc. He enjoyed
cutting wood, antiquing, riding motorcycles, golfing, going to the casino, and his 1929 Model A
Ford.
A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Billings Funeral Home,
812 Baldwin St., Elkhart where a parish vigil service will be prayed beginning at 4 p.m.
Friends may also call for a 1/2 hour prior to the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated
Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1405 N. Main St., Elkhart.
Rev. Bill Sullivan will officiate. Military honors will be rendered at the church following the Mass.
At his request, cremation has taken place with burial at a later date in St. Vincent cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to; St. Thomas School, Faith Mission or Church
Community Services.
Sharon Kay Cook
ROCHESTER -- Sharon Kay Cook, 72, died Sept. 21, 2011 at 2320 Wolf’s Point Drive, Rochester.
She is survived by her husband John, at home; daughters, Cindy York of Rochester, Ginger
Liegibel of Indianapolis; sons, Tim (Velma) Cook of Empire, Mich., Mark (Jamie) Cook of
Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brother, Ed (Judy) Kunkle of Peru.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W.
18th St., Rochester. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, and one hour prior to
the service in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Rochester, the American Diabetes
Association or to Hope Hospice of Fulton County.
Brent Cox
BREMEN -- Brent Cox, 38, of Bremen died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011 at his residence.
Survivors include wife, Christine Cox of Bremen; daughters, Autumn and Jordan; stepdaughter,
Ashley (Dominic) Colon of Goshen; one grandchild; father, Raymond (Donna) Cox of Bremen;
two sisters, Tami (Greg) Copenhaver of Mishawaka and Peni (Lawrence) Lippert of Bremen; five
brothers, Dale (Maggie) Dunham of Mishawaka, Gary (Julie) Cox of Mishawaka, Dave (Dotti)
Cox of Philadelphia, Pa., Doug (Kerri) Neal of Oak Grove, Ill. and Jerry Neal of South Bend;
parents-in-law, Larry and Barb Capron; three sisters-in-law, Kim (Chris) Bowling of Bremen, Kay
(Mike) Shumaker of Bremen and Tina (John) Halteman of Bremen.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 at the Mishler Funeral Home,
Bremen.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial
contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the family.
The Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen is assisting the family with arrangements.
Kevin D. Jacobson
PLYMOUTH -- Kevin D. Jacobson, 41, of 19336 6th B Road, Plymouth, passed away at 6:49
a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, at his family home.
Kevin was born May 30, 1970, in Plymouth, to David C. and Jayne (Dungan) Jacobson. He
graduated from John Glenn High School in the class of 1988. He had been employed at Omega,
in Bremen, as a forklift driver (material handler). He also had been a heavy equipment operator,
worked in the plumbing field, and had worked on a crab boat in Alaska. Kevin proudly served his
country in the Army National Guard. He served four years active duty and had been stationed in
Panama. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #365 in
North Liberty, and the Tyner IOOF Lodge #821 in Tyner. Kevin loved riding his Harley.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Jayne Jacobson of Plymouth; his brothers, Mark (Valerie)
Jacobson of Denver, Colo., Tod (Theresa) Jacobson of Plymouth, and Hoa (Chanret) Pung of
Holland, Mich.; his nephews and nieces, David, Cody, Chloe, Julia, Cole, Jacob, Kaleb and
Aaron. He was preceded in death by his father, David Jacobson Aug. 30, 2008.

Joseph P. Wolverton
PLYMOUTH -- Joseph P. Wolverton, 50, of 103 N. 3rd St., Plymouth, died at his residence of
natural causes at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011.
He is survived by his two daughters: Andrea and Kile Krathwohl, Plymouth, and Marisa
Wolverton, Goshen, and a granddaughter.
His mother, Mary Wolverton, Culver, three sisters and two brothers, also survive. The sisters are
Marilyn (Galen) Duff, Culver, Katherine Wallace, Plymouth and Jennifer (John) Schroeder,
Reynolds. His brothers are David (Jolene) Wolverton, Plymouth, and John M. Wolverton, Koontz
Lake.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home,
1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.

Nancy J. (Mrs. Rick) Cramer
MISHAWAKA -- Nancy J. (Mrs. Rick) Cramer, 51, of Mishawaka, passed away Monday
morning, Sept. 26 in Mishawaka after being involved in a vehicular accident.
Nancy will be remembered as a person strong in her Christian belief and family values who was
patient and caring to those she served. She will be dearly missed.
She was born Nancy J. Cuthbert Oct. 31, 1959 in Brighton, Mich., the daughter of William and
Doris J. (Guest) Cuthbert. She was raised there and graduated from Brighton High School with
the class of 1977. There, she was active in the band program.
In 1981 she attained her degree in occupational therapy from Eastern Michigan University.
Following her graduation she completed an internship in the state of New York. She then took a
position in the Elkhart/South Bend area. She currently was employed with Memorial Home
Healthcare as an occupational therapist.
Nancy met Richard D. 'Rick' Cramer and they were married
Sept. 2, 1989 in South Bend. They
are the proud parents of one son, Kenneth D. Cramer II, at home.
Also surviving are five brothers; Gary (Donna) Cuthbert of Burlington, N.J., Daniel (Polly)
Cuthbert of Whitmore Lake, Mich., Michael Cuthbert of Williamston, Mich., David (Laura)
Cuthbert of Tecumseh, Mich. and Richard (Jane) Cuthbert of Stockbridge, Mich. along with
numerous nieces and nephews. Her in-laws; Kenneth and Margaret Cramer of Glendale, Ariz.
also survive.
Nancy was very involved as a member of the Cornerstone Community Fellowship Church in
LaPaz where she enjoyed the ladies Bible Study Group. She also loved to watch football and
play golf.
Friends will be welcomed to celebrate her life Sunday, Oct. 2 from 2 to 6 p.m. in the JohnsonDanielson
Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St. Plymouth.
Services will be held Monday, Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. in the LaPaz Community Church of God, 601 S.
Michigan St., LaPaz. Visitation will continue in the church after 10 a.m. Pastor Stephen Cox will
officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Oakhill cemetery, Plymouth.
