Services for Clifford A. Forsland, 94, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. John Chapel, Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton, Arlington Heights.
Born Jan. 20, 1905, in Fergus Falls, Minn., he died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, in Arlington Heights. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
A clerk for the City of Chicago traffic court, he was a life member of the Sons of Norway, treasurer for Mayfair Lutheran Church and former resident of Green Castle. Music was his passion, along with his family. He always had a positive spirit.
He was the husband of the late Elma F. (nee Dahl); father of Donna (Kenneth) Kime-Jeffers and Charmaine (Charles) Sayre; grandfather of seven; great-grandfather of 15; great-great-grandfather of one; and brother of six late brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the Lutheran Home Kempf Chapel.

Donald L. Galetano of Mount Prospect
Services and interment for Donald L. Galetano, will be private.
Born Aug. 10, 1931, in Milwaukee, Wis., he died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Mr. Galetano was the owner and operator of Imperial Carpet Cleaning.
He was the husband of 47 years of the late Alyce (nee Schueller); father of Jim (Dianne) Galetano, Michael (Debbie) Galetano and Connie (Stephen) Schuler; and grandfather of Lisa, Mark, Amy, Beth, Dawn and Scott; and stepgrandfather of Colin.

Michael S. Galston of Elgin

Born Sept. 18, 1948, in St. Louis, Mo., to Michael and Lenore Galston, he passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at home. Burial will be private.
Mr. Galston was a carpenter by trade and had worked in the Elgin area.
Survivors include his wife, Fonda Galston, whom he married Feb. 9, 1979; sons, Michael Patrick, Todd and Scott Galston, all at home; mother, Lenore Emmons of Florida; brothers, Christopher Galston of Kewanee and Greg Galston of California; and sister, Georgia Galston Kosloski of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Elsie Ann Gustafson formerly of Geneva
A funeral Mass for Elsie Ann Gustafson, 82, of Wheaton, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Patrick Church, 408 Cedar St., St. Charles.
Born June 5, 1915, in Norway, Mich., the daughter of Dominic and Leontine (nee VanWiele) DeWitte, she died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at Wynscape Healthcare Center in Wheaton. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Geneva.
A member of St. Patrick Church, Mrs. Gustafson issurvived by her daughters, Mary Ann (Ronald) Whipperman of Osprey, Fla. and Charlene (Roy) Skolion of Woodland Hills, Calif.; son, Eric Tage (Pat) Gustafson of Villa Park; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Peter DeWitte of St. Charles; and sister, Margaret Cailliau of St. Charles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Tage Gustafson in 1965; sisters, Anne Cailliau and Mary Armbruster; and brother, Alphonse DeWitte.

Walter Johnson of Waukegan
Services for Walter Johnson, 88, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Salata Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee.
Born Oct. 30, 1910, in McAllister, Okla., he died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, at Provena St. Therese Medical Center, Waukegan. Interment will be in Northshore Garden of Memories following the services.
Formerly a longtime resident of Chicago, Mr. Johnson had lived in Waukegan forthe past nine years. He was an
Army veteran of World War II, having served in India. After leaving the service, he worked as one of Chicago's premier bartenders until his retirement.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Ollie Johnson; son, Ron (Nancy) Johnson of Waukegan; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rachel Johnson; sisters, Elizabeth and Mary; and brother, James.

Doris M. Kelly of Carpentersville

Mrs. Kelly died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
A 39-year resident of the Carpentersville area, she was former owner and operator of the Open Book Shop of Elgin. She was a member of the American Book Sellers Association, Fox Valley Theater Guild and member and past president of the Fox Valley Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Survivorsinclude her sons, Michael J. (Linda) Kelly of Lincoln, Neb. and John D. Kelly of Carpentersville; grandchildren, Sasha, Wolfgang, Arian, Keegan, Lothario and Errol; sister, Maureen (Dick) Eastman of Wautoma, Wis.; and brothers, Jack (Phyllis) and Robert (Delores) Halboth, both of Milwaukee, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxwell Kelly in 1979.

Kathryn M. Kennedy of Wauconda
Prayers for Kathryn M. Kennedy, 91, formerly a 75-year resident of Allentown, Pa., will be said at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda. Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at Transfiguration Church, 310 W. Mill St., Wauconda.
Born April 25, 1907, in Catasauque, Pa., she died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at Winchester House in Libertyville.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, in Arlington Memorial Park, Whitenail, Pa.
A Wauconda resident for 16 years, she was a formermember of Sacred Church and sang in the choir. She was a member of Island Lake Senior Citizens, Transfiguration Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, and also sang Transfiguration's choir.
Survivors include her children, FrancesAnne Braun, Thomas Stinner, Naomi (Walter) Maraghy and Cleve (Ellen) Kennedy.; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Kennedy; brother, Carl Geiger; and sister, Loretta Bieber.

Viola Elizabeth Kuebrich of Winfield

Born Feb. 27, 1903, in Chicago, she died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at DuPage Convalescent Center, Wheaton. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton.
Mrs. Kuebrich was a homemaker and a resident of Winfield for the past 10 years.
Surviving are her husband of 72 years, Andrew Kuebrich; sons, Andrew J. and Richard (Joyce) Kuebrich; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sisters, Marie Radie and Loretta Casper.

George W. McGurn of Wheaton
Services for George W. McGurn, 84, a resident of Wheaton for 15 years, will begin with prayers at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Church.
Mr. McGurn died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital in Wheaton. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
A lifelong Chicagoan, he had a distinguished career as a lawyer in private practice at the firm of Healey and McGurn from 1964 to 1981. He was the first chief counsel of the Illinois Tollway Commission during its formative years from 1958 to 1964, and as assistant attorney general of the State of Illinois from 1954 to 1958. A veteran of World War II, he served in both
Army Intelligence and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He retired from the
Army in 1969, as a colonel in the
Army reserves.
He was the beloved husband of Antoinette `Toni' Chalwick McGurn and the late Margaret Mary (nee Daley) McGurn; loving father of George W. (Mary) McGurn, Anne (Scott) Mertz, Jane (Michael) Kathman, Mary Margaret (Tom) Donofrio, Michael (Kathy) McGurn, Susan Hennessy, Denis (Kelly) Chalwick, Jerome Chalwick and the late Margaret Mary McGurn and Tim Chalwick; dear grandfather of 17; and great-grandfather of three.

Timothy James Panther of Libertyville
A funeral Mass for Timothy James Panther, 23, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Maple, Libertyville.
Born June 11, 1975, in Highland Park, he died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, in Greer, Ariz., as the result of camping accident. Burial will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
A lifelong resident of Libertyville, Mr. Panther was a graduate of Libertyville High School and the University of Wyoming. He was nicknamed `Mountain Man' by his friends because of his love of nature, the outdoors, camping, mountain biking and mountain climbing.
Survivors include his parents, James and Bonnie Panther of Libertyville; sisters, Tami (Sean) Kennedy of Clarendon Hills and Amanda Panther of Purdue University; and grandparents, Mary Frances Panther of Burlington, Iowa, and Louise and Ken West of Clearwater, Fla.
