DECATUR -- Don C. Lahniers, 72, of Decatur died 7:08 p.m. Saturday (May 17, 2003) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Richard Wolf officiating. Visitation will be two hours before services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: First Lutheran Church or the Lutheran School Association.
Mr. Lahniers was born Aug. 9, 1930, in Decatur, the son of Edward D. and Helen L. Saint Lahniers. He was an Illinois Power Co. program analyst for 38 years, retiring in 1989. He was manager of his son's service station, Greg's West End, for 10 years. He was a member of First Lutheran Church. He married Joan Wolf on Nov. 18, 1950, in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Jeffrey E. Lahniers and Timothy K. Lahniers and wife Cheryl, all of Decatur; Gregory T. Lahniers of Mount Zion; daughter, Susan Marien and husband Paul of Decatur; grandchildren, Sam and Mary Lahniers; Jacob and Erin Lahniers; Angel and Chelsea Allen; Evan and Lewis Marien; Grace, Breanna and Shelbi Lahniers; sisters, Velma Sheridan and husband Bob of Decatur; Helen Clarkson and husband Clyde of Cerro Gordo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

DECATUR -- Jarrod Dean Rhodes, 28, of Decatur died 2 a.m. Monday (May 19, 2003) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes with visitation two hours before services. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery. Memorials: Macon Resources, in care of MacArthur Group Home, Box 2760, Decatur, IL 62524.
Jarrod was born Oct. 27, 1974, in Decatur, the son of Stanley "Stan" Rhodes and Deloris "Dee" May Prasun. He attended Macon Resources and was an avid Illini and Cubs fan. Jarrod was a special person who touched and enriched many lives.
Surviving are his parents of Decatur; stepsister, Lora Cook of Decatur; grandmothers, Martha Ellen Prasun of Decatur; Nina Mae Rhodes of Decatur; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Eugene Wallace Prasun and Joseph Dean Rhodes.

MAROA -- Catherine L. Ott Foltz Watson, 86, of Du Quoin was received by the heavenly host at 6:20 a.m. Sunday (May 18, 2003).
Graveside services in celebration of her life will 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sunset Memorial Park, Du Quoin, with Pastor Roger and Pastor Sandra Von Lanken officiating. Those attending the services are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Searby Funeral Home, Du Quoin, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Hospice of Southern Illinois.
Mrs. Watson was born May 23, 1916, in Centralia, the daughter of Charles and Sadie Maddox Ott. She was a member of Light of the Lamb Family Church. She loved to care for her home and loved roses. She was the loving wife of the Rev. Wallace Watson, former pastor of Maroa Christian Church and Hindsboro Christian Church. He preceded her in death May 28, 2000.
Surviving are her sons, James and Pricilla Foltz of Elettsvile, Ind.; Charles Foltz of Fort Myers, Fla.; daughter, Sandra and Roger Von Lanken of Du Quoin; stepson, Robert W. Watson Jr. and Mary Jo of Hutsonville; stepdaughter, Myrna and Tom Phillippe of Robinson; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; six great-stepgrandchildren; one great-great-stepgrandchild; brother, James E. Ott of Parhump, Nev.; sister, Peggy A. Fuller of San Antonio, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, Marion "Buster," Kenneth C. and Robert E. Ott.

SHELBYVILLE -- Lynn E. Glick, 61, of Shelbyville died 7:05 a.m. Sunday (May 18, 2003) in his home.

Mr. Glick was born Aug. 17, 1941, in Pana, the son of Clyde E. and Virginia L. Bieber Glick. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1959 and then served in the
Army from 1960 to 1966. He worked for the Oliver Corp. in Shelbyville and then Mueller Co. and Caterpillar Inc., both of Decatur. In 1970, he began working for Shelby Electric Co-op, where he was currently meter inspector and safety educator. He was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school. He was a member of Gideons International, Shelbyville Lions Club, a lifelong NRA member and was an avid sportsman. He married Linda Rueff on June 8, 1963, in Lakewood United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Lance Glick and wife Kellie of Farmersville; Lane Glick and wife Christy of Augusta; brothers, Jim Glick of Tower Hill; the Rev. Phillip Glick and wife Connie of Pana; grandchildren, Josh, Haidyn and Lauren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
