COWDEN -- Woodrow G. "Doc" Sarver, 90, Springfield, formerly of Urbana, died 11:20 a.m. Friday (May 16, 2003) in St. John's Hospital, Springfield.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Renner-Wikoff Chapel, Urbana, with the Rev. Tom Martin officiating. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and one hour before services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Mausoleum, Champaign. Memorials: Trinity Church of the Nazarene, Springfield.
Mr. Sarver was born Nov. 18, 1912, in Cowden, the son of George Washington and Julia Alice Lorton Sarver. He was an Illinois Militia member and a roofer for Midwest Roofing, Harlen E. Moore Roofing, Bash Roofing Co. and Wayne Cain and Sons Roofing Co. He was a lifelong member of the Nazarene Church and was a current member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene and Carpenters Local 44. He was a founding member of Edge-Scott Fire Department. He married Alma Faye Maxwell on Feb. 28, 1934, in Tuscola. She preceded him in death Aug. 17, 1977. He later married Betty Stephens on Nov. 19, 1978, in Urbana.
Surviving are his wife; sons, William Sarver of Texas; Robert Sarver of Champaign; Raymond Sarver and John Sarver, both of Urbana; Michael Sarver of Eureka; daughters, Alyce Rusk of Oswego; Barbara Clark of Forsyth; Dorothy Key of Philadelphia, Tenn.; Lois Key of Urbana; Patricia Gillette of Caboor, Mo.; 27 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, two brothers and one stepsister.

James was born May 12, 1945, in San Francisco, Calif., the son of Jack Richard and Virginia Mae Groves Campbell. He was a laborer for Local 159 for many years. He was an
Army veteran serving in the Vietname War. He married Maryanne Walters on Feb. 27, 1971, in Decatur. She preceded him in death Sept. 15, 2002.
Surviving are his daughters, Angie Hinton and Jamie Campbell, both of Decatur; brother, Scott Campbell and wife Sharon of Warrensburg; sisters, Susie Riedel and husband Dave of Casper, Wyo.; Kathy Kelsheimer of Decatur, Dottie Endres and husband Rob of Decatur and Patti Ann Cummings and husband Mike, all of Decatur; grandchildren, J.B. Hinton and Bailey Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and son, James.

McGlasson
DECATUR -- Ervin "Mac" McGlasson, 73, of Decatur died 3:10 p.m. Sunday (May 18, 2003) in his home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery
with military rites by the Mount Pulaski Veterans Association. Memorials: donor's choice.
Mac was born Aug. 14, 1929, in Christopher, the son of Ralph and Ruby Harrison McGlasson. He served in the Air Force during the
Korean War. He attended Summit Avenue Baptist Church and was a supervisor/sales manager with Continental Coffee until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of Castle Williams American Legion Post 105 and sang with the Decatur Chordsmen Barber Shop, 4 Crying Out Loud Barber Shop Quartet, Chariots Gospel Quartet and Blarney Tones. He was the vice president of Young Men in Harmony and coached Little League baseball. He married Phyllis Taylor on Aug. 11, 1951, in Oscola, Ark.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years; sons, Jeff McGlasson and wife Nanette and Richard Taylor and wife Sharon, all of Decatur; grandchildren, Mac Joseph McGlasson and Bailey Lynn McGlasson, both of Decatur; sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Sileven and husband Charles of Decatur; Dorothy Monterastelli of Ottawa; Athalia Taylor of Benton; brother-in-law, Francis Swain of Hopkinsville, Ky.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lawanda Swain.
